Grix will be moving another 30ft during the next round and if close enough will unload an Eldritch Blast  15 Damage: 4

Grix's blast hits the Morkoth in the back. It lets out a shrill screech, and it drops the Heart and its deed. They both begin rolling down towards you. Seeing that they are now lost, the Morkoth continues to run back to its island, leaving the items.

Trinity casts magic missles by twisting her hands and then flicking three fingers at Morkoth as she mumbels something under her breath.

Abzerilan meets and scoops up the dropped objects and put them in his bag. If he's able, he will keep up the pursuit after stowing them.

The Morkoth hops onto its island, scurrying away to the hole in the middle like it did before. The ring around it begins to close, but before it does, you can see a serene, silver sea. Wisps of of smoke and light blow about this infinite ocean, and strange circles of light of varying colors can be seen. Then the ring closes, and the Morkoth and the island are gone once again.

"He went to another plane." Trajeon says, panting as he slows his run.

"Blasted squid," Thorin pants, "Did ya get that heart an' deed then Abs? Luckily he dropped it. Blasted arcanoloths though. We coulda had that thing if they no wasted our time."

"Any idea what plane THAT was Trajeon?" Grix blurts out, amazed at the fleeting sight provided before it disappeared, then turns to the others "At least we have the heart, should we return to the Arcanoloths and bargain for the return of the deed, or take it all back to the dragon and see what help we can get from it?"

Are the Arcanoloths following - or can we just escape back toward the dragon's lair? 

The Arcanoloths are still watching, awestruck an shocked. They have not yet begun to approach you, but they do appear to be waiting for you still.

(OOC - didn't the deed drop with the heart? Therefore, do we really need to go back to the arcanoloths? They did just want to eat us.)

 With the cowardly Morkoth gone once again, Abzerilan grumbles for a moment. He then remembers the Heart and its deed in his bag.

He opens the deed scroll to see if he can find Fragherwe's name in it.

(Being a dragonborn, he can read, write and speak Draconic)

OOC: I am for taking everything to the dragon....and see what value it is to him.

Can Abzerilan read Abyssal?

(He cannot)

(Ah well, unfortunately the deed is written in Abyssal)

"Argh... Can't make heads or tails of this fiendish script! How can we know if damned squid changed the name?!" Abzerilan throws his head back in frustration.

"Trajeon, you travel the multiverse, yeah? Surely you know a bunch of tongues?"

"Well I've never traveled the multiverse, but I've studied it." Trajeon corrects you. "I could try reading it and see if I can make anything out."

Taking the deed, Trajeon stares at it intently for a few minutes. "Ok, my Abyssal is a little rusty, but I think I can make out the important parts. It does not seem that the deeds name has been changed." He says.

"Let's bring these back to where they belong," Abzerilan says with a mix of frustration that the Morkoth got away, and satisfaction that they were able to keep it from stealing more.

"Don't recall the dragon saying the deed was stolen from them, just the Heart. I figure it's safe ta give it back ta the arcanaloths."

"Shall we try to strike a bargain for the deeds return....maybe we can gain something from them for our efforts?"

"Do ya really want ta deal with them arcanoloths again? Why no just give the deed ta the dragon? It might give us somethin', unlike those bastards in the tower," Thorin takes a moment to catch his breath after running up the hill.

"Well, those 'bastards in the tower' would certainly like their contract back. Otherwise that dragon's skull would adorn the Tower's entrance for all eternity." One of the Arcanoloths says, suddenly appearing beside you.
