Mara awakens, though she wouldn't say refreshed, being in a pile of men (or at least a pile of men she wasn't trying to seduce). With the warning from Scottie, she asks, "Well, who has the plan for getting out of here?"

Scottie will tell Mara "I can attempt a Charm Person on the tiefling. If it works it is an hours worth of time. If not Haven you can attempt to put her to sleep. If everything goes well we will come back and grab you. If not you'll hear fighting please feel free to join in" With that said Scottie will grab Haven and have the both of them proceed quietly and cautiously outside the room looking for the guard and hoping to get the jump on her.
Scottie makes eye contact with the Tiefling, then disappears. The tiefling woman marches over and swings her claws through the air where Scottie had just been; but the firbolg was long gone, quietly scurrying up the stairs and back up to the room. He locks the door behind him. Isuzu is on the floor singing her dirge to death. Scottie wakes up Haven, Mara, Zenhymm and Braithe.
Zenhymm wakes up with a start. "What's going on?"
When Scottie tells the drow there is a tiefling coming, he becomes visibly disturbed. "They know what I did and they're not going to take me back to the detention tower, they'll hang me up like King Thedas."
Scottie tries to calm the drow, but the Zenhymm grabs him by the throat and throws him against the wall with a loud crash. "I killed a tieflig! They've come back for their revenge!"
The first orange rays of daylight came through the window, bouncing off the drow's dark skin, his teary eyes sparkling.
Mara pulls the two apart. The drow begins pacing the room muttering to himself.
"What is going on?" she asks.
He explains.
"Well, who has the plan for getting out of here?"
Braithe, who appeared to be asleep the entire time, all of a sudden sat up with a big stretch. "What about the cloak? Thedas' one Arvidsjaur found in the detention tower."
Meanwhile, the tiefling woman is heading up the stairs and Arvidsjaur, disguised as an old drunk, follows after her. He dashes up the stairs, deliberately tripping himself and pouring his drink down the back of her cloak. The tiefling turns and kneels down to him. She grabs Arvidsjaur's face in her giant, spiky hand and pulls him close.
"Listen to me very closely." She sounds irritated by his foolish actions, but it is overwhelmed by the pity in her voice. "I think it is time you went home. Don't you have a family waiting for you? You shouldn't be spending all night in some rat infested hole in the wall like this. That's no way to live."
"The cloak was ripped in half. It still might be able to hide one of you though. I have some rope we can use to climb out the window but I don't know where to go from there." Scottie will look at Braithe hoping he knows another place to hide out at.
[By the way, I am controlling Zenhymm now because I couldn't get a hold of the player.]
"You need to hide me," Braithe said, "I'm the most noticeable. There's no way they're going to think some drow is more important than the last human council member of the Royal Court. Hide me."
"Oh wow, you talked about taxes with them. I stabbed one of them in the eyes and pushed him off a ledge. I can still see his brains splattered across the cobblestone streets"
Three knocks pound against the door. Everybody inside falls silent.
"This is High Inquisitor Aliira Malith. I have come to talk to you regarding an incident at the detention tower last night. May I come in?"
Scottie will nod at Isuzu and will tie a rope to a bed post and throw it out the window. Once it's out the window he'll begin ushering everyone to the rope and out the window.
Isuzu steps out into the corridor to find the tiefling woman, who offers her a smile; something rarely found on a tiefling, but she wears it well. It seems genuine. The tiefling woman raises her hands as a show of good faith.
"My name is Aliira Malith, I'm the High Inquisitor of the tiefling empire, but please don't let that intimidate you. I am simply after Galbraithe Althier. I went to find him in the detention tower and he was missing. I know you took him, and I'm not going to send you back there. Any crimes you have committed have been absolved. I just need to speak to Galbraithe."
The tiefling woman slowly lowers her hands and removes her red cloak. The cloak drops to the floor, revealing two children, no older than six; a boy and a girl. The girl tugs at the tiefling's pale tunic.
"Where is Uncle Braithe?" the little girl sniffled.
The little boy nodded in agreement. "We want Uncle Braithe."
The children sob until the tiefling slowly falls to her knees and casts a charm spell on them. "These children are traumatised. They watched their own mother's throat get slit; they watches their three sisters and two brothers stabbed multiple times, and they cannot take a step in this city without seeing their naked father rotting from the highest spire in the citadel. I know you don't have any reason to trust me, but I am doing this in their best interest. I promise. Now, please, I must speak to Galbraithe Althier immediately."
When Scottie hears Isuzu he'll look at Braithe and say "Isuzu says you're Niece is here. Do you want to go see her? I'll be there to guard you guys if you're scared."
"Okay I just needed to be sure. Now let's get down that rope I'll cover out tracks." Once everyone is down the rope Scottie will cast Fog Cloud centered in the middle of the room before going down himself. Once he is down Scottie will grab Braithe's hand and start leading him through some alleys away from the Inn. "Quick we need another's place to hide out. Can you think of anywhere?"
"The children are in serious peril. They must stay with me at all times." Aliira answers, refusing to budge.
Braithe leaps through the half-open door. Isuzu is almost knocked to the floor as he pushes past her, sweeping the children up in his arms.
"Caitlin, Marius, I thought you were gone," he sobbed. Aliira reliquished her charm spell and the children returned the hug, sobbing and sharing the horrific details of their family's slaughter. Silent tears stream down Aliira's face.
Finally, Braithe looks up at Aliira. "I know you."
"Yes," Aliira sniffed, "I was Her Majesty's personal handmaiden."
"Malith," Zenhymm rolls the name on his tongue, "You're related to Emperor Malith."
"He's my Uncle," Aliira turned her head, "there's no other way that a handmaiden could rise to High Inquisitor only a few days after an uprising."
"So, you were there when they..." Galbraithe lowered his head.
"I was, and I wish there was something I could do to stop it, but they would've taken my head right there. You have to believe my that I loved her Majesty like a sister. I would never do anything to hurt her."
"Except stand by and watch her throat be cut."
Aliira sighed. "That vision will haunt me for the rest of my days, believe me. But after the children fled, I knew I had to find them. There was no way they could escape the citadel alive. I helped them escape the citadel, and now they will escape the city. In fact, they need to leave the whole continent. There is an archipelago to the far east of Midgard: The Isle of Ishbrae. It is technically under tiefling rule, but we all left to come to Midgard. If you take the children there, they will be safe."
"And you will have eliminated any chance of these children reclaiming their throne." Zenhymm scoffed. "Typical tieflings."
"I could simply," she ran finger over her neck, mindful of your ears, "if that was my intent, which it is clearly not. This is the right thing to do. I must get them to the Isle of Ishbrae."

"What are you doing!" Scottie yells when Galbraithe starts heading towards the door. He'll quickly follow him, quarterstaff at the ready for a fight. However, when no fight immediately breaks out he'll ease up a bit. As Aliira gives her story he'll be watching her body language. Trying to determine if she's lying or has ill intents.
"Apparently this Tiefling here, Aliira was it, didn't condone the killing of children and kind individuals so, she saved these two young ones. Now she's looking to get them safely out of the city. I don't know about everyone else but I'm ready to leave this city and I'm more than happy to protect these children and help them escape." Scottie will say to Mara
"Thank you, druid," Scottie nods to Aliira. "You will never understand what it means to me that you will help these children. Obviously, you must talk it over with your party first. I will not force anybody on this quest. Every member of the mission must be accepting out of loyalty to the crown of King Thedas. If you should choose to accept this quest, I will meet you at the Midgard Docks by midday. If you do not show, I will take assumed that you have declined my offer."
And with that, she scoops the children under her magic cloak and disappears down the stairs.
Scottie will nod back at Aliira. Not necessary distrusting her but not fully trust her either. He'll then gather his rope and head downstairs to finally get some food.
"So, Aliira is planning to smuggle those two kids out of the city and she wants us to make sure they arrive at the Isle of Ishbrae safely. This is a way to get out of this forsaken city. She said she won't force anyone to do this but if you choose to accept the quest we need to meet her at the Midgard Docks by midday. I don't know about the rest of you but I'm going to accept this quest. If you want to join me then I'll be heading out soon for the docks. So, what does everyone say? Ready to leave this place."

Still charmed, her voice calm and serene, the girl answers: "My name is Caitlin. Princess Cailtin Tennamiir of Midgard. It is a pleasure to meet you."
Isuzu sees nothing but compassion in the tiefling's eyes for the children. She raps lightly on the door.
"All is well, tell Galbraithe that the young Princess Cailtin Tennamiir of Midgard is here and wants to see her uncle."
When Scottie hears Isuzu he'll look at Braithe and say "Isuzu says you're Niece is here. Do you want to go see her? I'll be there to guard you guys if you're scared."

There doesn't seem to be a single disingenuous note in her voice. Her eyes weep with real tears for her fallen queen and the children she left behind.
Mara looks out the door and is confused. "What the hell is going on out there?"
