Seein that Faylen is conscious again, V'rekh dives down to see if there is anything interesting down there.
First, V'rekh will check if there are any other doors around the room (perception: 16, investigation: 2). Doors or not, he would swim towards the ornate blue box and check to see if it would be possible to move it to the surface (OOC: how big is this box), if it seems to big to be moved or bolted to the ground, he will check for a way to open it.
"let's leave now I say, let's bring only that precious figurine or anything else that can be conceived, we will be back with a proper ship... Before we get injured seriously..."
There doesn't seem to be any places to rest without treading water.
The box is about 2 feet long and a half foot on each side. You could easily carry it out, but you do not see a way to open it. There are no exits in this room besides the door you came through.
If you wish you all cane easily backtrack up to the surface with the more interesting treasures.
Borax looks around the room, assessing the value of the treasures scattered around the place. "Yes, that sounds like a good idea," he says in response to Uthred's comments. "Most of you are not suited to this environment. I Must say, this trip will be far more profitable than I had originally hoped."
Borax moves to pick up the box to carry it back to the entrance.
The group backtracks through the worked tunnels with their spoils. As you all make it to the open sea and look up to the surface, you notice your barrel of octopi is not where you anchored it, and nowhere to be seen from the depths.

Faylen swims to the island they began on and searches the surrounding area for any clues or signs as to where the barrel has disappeared to or who might have taken it.

V'rekh looks around and replies to Faylen "I'll go back and check the cave entrance." He reluctantly leaves the blue box on the surface and dives back searching.
Investigation: 14 Perception: 22
OOC: I though we had carried the barrel underwater with us.
(You had taken the barrel underwater with you but it is not where you left it)
Heading to the surface you all can plainly see two groups fighting over what is clearly your barrel. They are on your island, but do not seem to have noticed you coming out of the water. There are eight people in all. One side has a human man and woman in breastplate (noticeably dry) with two human men bearing shields; the other side has a human woman and dwarven woman in hides with a halfling man and woman in leather.
The main ship is still nearby, it seems like they are getting ready to move soon.
Should it be Faylen that is stabilized, but unconcious?
(Whoops yep, should be "V'rekh stabilized Faylen for now ..." I'm assuming the healing word would be applied to her.)
OOC: Yes, I have updated the post to reflect this.
The water calms around the group of you with no threats in the immediate area.
(Thanks to Borax, Faylen has regained 5 hit points and, I assume, is no longer unconscious?)
(correct)
"Thank you, friend," Faylen sighs, attempting to regain her bearings.
Faylen scans the area for a place where the party may be able to rest.

Uthred is of the same opinion

Faylen glances down to the floor of the room and decides to grab a handful of coin before heading for the exit.
V'rekh helps Borax with the blue box, the tortle's curiosity is fixed on its contents.

"Gentlemen, I do not mean to alarm you," Faylen starts, "but I do believe we are somewhat screwed. Our barrel seems to have gone missing."

Uthred tieing his drenched hair, is not surprised
"there, I knew it"
While thinking
"greedy curious bastards"
He looks around to see if the main ship is still around
