Fianna tries to tackle the fleeing lizardfolk, but the fleeing creature - Strength check: 21 ...is much too strong.
Dain pauses, watches, and readies his maul. Katernin stands by also, readying a spell in case of attack. Kelnan rushes to the rails and fires a beam of energy at the fleeing lizardfolk with the chest, injuring its leg with a painful blast of frostbite.
But it is not defeated - the injured lizardfolk turns and shouts, "યાદ રાખો કે તમારે પણ મરી જવુ પડશે" before disappearing under the black waves.
“They basically gave us the finger, and got out. They were huuuuge jerks, and likely that will come back to haunt us. But we should figure out how to avoid the crashing ship business first. Has this thing got a lifeboat?” Molo looks around for options.
“We dropped anchor... I think,” Fianna says, in reply to the question on crashing. “And there is a small boat on deck, I believe several of us hid by it a bit. Hopefully it’s not damaged.”
“As for the lizardlings,” she continues, “far as I can tell they stole some stuff and fled. We should figure out if we are indeed safe for now - stopped and alone on the ship - and then figure out what goods are on our ship. After that we can see about contacting Saltmarsh and maybe getting some sailors here to recover this ship...”
I suggest we double check anchor dropped by swimmer (forget her name at moment, sorry) and then secure and search the boat. Not killing any more if we do t need to.we can also pile the bodies and throw a tarp over them. Once the goods aboard are figured out, we determine what is practical for us to keep and what we declare to the people of Saltmarsh. Then one or two of us use dingy to return and get this ship impounded or whatever...
Elbows seems to have successfully dropped anchor, as the ship has stopped drifting. However, the Stone (and its partially-dissolved captain) has drifted out of sight to the northwest, toward Saltmarsh, the cliffs, and the breakers, in the frigid night air.
There is a jolly boat lashed upside down to the deck. It's a sizable skiff, complete with two sets of oars, and undamaged. You could all fit into it if you needed to.
There are no tarps immediately accessible, although Dain and Molo did see bolts of cloth in the cargo area, and some hanging cloths belowdeck.

Fianna will talk to Elbow. She’ll ask if she knows if anyone else is on board and insist she wants no harm to come to anyone else. “I’d rather find them peacefully and offer them a way out unharmed, like with you. Could be bad if they just pop out suddenly..,”
Fianna will try to convince Elbow to give up whatever she k own on who and where they may be hiding, but won’t press too hard. She understands it’s a tenuous truce at best with the girl. Persuasion: 18
Fianna will also ask if the girl knows anything about what they would have wanted done with their bodies. Brought somewhere? Burial at sea? And then Fianna will suggest maybe Elbow go to the galley to make them both something hot to drink while Gianna drags the bodies into one spot and covers them...
Elbows is still very shaken by all the dead. She doesn't want to look at them, doesn't want to inventory them to see who's missing. She gets panicky and teary when asked about them, and is not very helpful.
She's not very helpful about the disposal of them, either, although she does make clear that she wants the bodies to go away. "Put 'em in the sea" is all you can get out of her. No funerals, no burials. Make them just disappear, she suggests. She doesn't want to be involved in it. She's a bit of a mess.
Well Fianna will indeed send Elbow off to the galley to find something warm, and she’ll work on dragging the bodies to the side and setting them loose...
Fianna sends Elbows into the galley, where she lights a lantern and begins to clean up, while Fianna starts to dump the bodies overboard.
Molo and Dain go back downstairs into the crew quarters under the forecastle, and begin a more thorough search, starting with that smelly cabin: The curtained area in the crew quarters contains two large tin buckets standing side by side on the floor. Both are empty, but they are stained and dirty and emit a foul smell. The sea chests contain clothes and other personal effects. The garments are all stained, grubby, and in poor condition. Of minor interest among the remaining items are the following: - A pack of well-used, greasy playing cards - Two sets of dice - A book titled "Grog Hovels" The bunks - and the cabin in general - is unoccupied. (Is there anything else you want to look at in the crew quarters? Are you ready to move onto the cargo hold?)
Yup, cargo hold seems next. "I wonders if one of the mystic ones can tell if there be anything ... you know ... mystic about any of these things on board?" Dain asks Molo.
Molo holds out a hand in a suitably focused and mystical manner. “I feel something now... something... auspicious. It’s a prophecy! This ship is...!” then he drops his hand and burps. “Oh, nevermind. Just a bit of thunder down under.”
Once done dumping the bodies and checking in on Elbow, Fianna will double check everything on deck while listening for any shouts or calls from below in case she is needed. Specifically, Fianna will spend time in the Lizard peoples room to see if they left anything behind that may give a clue as to what they were all about...
FinFin is taking off back to Saltmarsh and Fireborn...
Fianna starts to search the lizardfolk cabin. The cramped, low-ceilinged room still smells strongly of its previous occupants. A finely-crafted silver jug on the table contains wine. There is an open, empty chest, which clearly is rigged with a needle trap of some sort (it appears disarmed?) There is evidence of a small nest made of scraps of cloth. Its likely occupant - the other pseudodragon - is long gone. It evidently fled during the excitement. Other than the hammocks and some food, there is not much else in the room.
Meanwhile, Dain and Molo move onto the hold. Lit by a bright lantern left by the crew, it contains the following cargo: - 50 bolts of silk - 40 casks of brandy - 40 casks of fine wine - 1 large crate of high-quality mining tools
Dain recognizes this last crate - it was expected at the mine weeks ago. It was clearly intercepted and stolen.

“A good plan. Let’s start with the search.” Molo will assist with searching below decks for anymore people

Dain will also assist as he's not great at searching places.

Below decks. I don’t think we quite finished that.
