The cellar is even fouler than when you left it. The bodies (including Fianna's) have all been removed, but the faint smell of Kelnan's stinking cloud remains, together with evidence of the destructive battle yesterday. It is unoccupied.
Eight doors exit from this main basement chamber. All are closed, although some are ajar. The northern one on the east wall has a latch or deadbolt, but that door is slightly open also.
But the door through which Ozymandius and his guard had exited is the one to the southeast. Opening it, he finds a small room reeking of wine. Small kegs are scattered everywhere. A floor-to-ceiling wine rack filled with bottles dominates the southern wall. A crudely made pallet of rags and sacks covers the center of the room.
Krunch shrugs and looks to Katernin and Kelnan, awaiting their decision. He’s just a guest in this mess hoping to catch a ride off this island himself.
The next room, moving counter-clockwise, is a kitchen. It has a small but sturdy-looking deadbolt on the door, which is ajar. A large cauldron filled with smoldering charcoal burns in the center of the room. Assorted cookware and seasonings rest on the floor and on shelves. There is also an ornate scroll tube on the shelf. The room is fairly clean, but the air is humid and greasy. A large tub of dirty water stands in the corner, surrounded by dirty dishes.
"So if I come out, drop my weapons, and help you fix your boat, you won't hurt me, and you'll give me safe passage to the mainland and my freedom. That's the deal, right? I'd like to establish that. I can even throw in a hot tip," says the winded invisible elven man to Krunch, Katernin and Kelnan. "'Cause I'm just a hired hand here. This bunch of crazies just needed a trainer, is all, some muscle. But I quit, see? I'm on your side now. The flying guy gets it! How about youtwo?" he says, presumably referring to Kelnan's remarks.
----
Meanwhile, Molo pockets the ornate scroll case, and fishes around in the tub. He finds nothing but dirty water, cheap dishes, and a big (if ordinary) butcher knife.
He turns to the next room. It's a small library or study, turned into temporary living quarters. Several large bookcases lean against the walls in this cold room, and a high chair and a scribe’s desk sit to the right of the door. The bookcases are loaded with books and scrolls. Four bedrolls are stacked neatly in the corner.
"We offered him deal many time" Krunch whispers to the others. "He refuse to accept, keep asking for deal again. He must be stalling for some reason... Slap my arm if he appears."
Krunch takes a moment to mentally dismiss Berry from existence, then another moment to resummon the hawk back to right where Krunch is. He then instructs the bird to follow the invisible voice and find out exactly where he is. Instead of flying high overhead the hawk will fly around the rock at a more head level, going in determined to try to find the person hiding. If nothing can be seen the bird will swoop about in the area to try to crash into something that cannot be seen... He also sends his own mind into the birds so as he can see and hear through the bird's senses. His own body goes deaf and blind but Krunch is still able to tell the others exactly what he sees, even if it's nothing...

(Bayleaf tries to read the room. Insight: 13)
"Tell you what," says the dapper swordsman, popping suddenly into view some twenty feet from the noisy boulder. "Let's all put our weapons down." He lays down his shortsword and shortbow in the icy dunes. "See? No more weapons! Okay - your turn now. See? We're all friends here. Would you like a little music to calm our frayed nerves? I have a fiddle in my pack!" He holds his arms out and his hands open to demonstrate that he is unarmed, and nods sideways, as if toward his small backpack. "Music! Soothes the soul!"
------
Meanwhile, Molo finds the desk drawers are locked.
Krunch looks to Kelnan and Katernin waiting to follow their lead, though reluctant to put down his weapons. There is three of us, one of him, would be silly for us to surrender.
Kelnan: Kelnan thanks Bayleaf for the kind offer, but knowing some spellcasters are known to utilize musical instruments, offers to keep the fiddle safe from the more violent members of the party.
Bayleaf claps his hands together jovially. "So... music later, then! I just need to go get my things." He gestures toward the stairwell. "Is your boat down on the dunes? Can I get anyone some stew?"

Molo attempts to pry open the drawers with his sword
Krunch makes a show of putting his flail such that it hangs from his belt, at the ready. "Friend, we have promised no harm if you surrender... But we are not laying down our weapons."
Krunch begins to slowly approach the dapper swordsman. "As said, you surrender and help us, we help you off island and then let you go on your way unharmed. You take up arms again, we fight to death. It is your choice, friend. Hopefully you do not change your choice now..." Krunch will continue walking until he reaches their short sword and bow and will pick them up, if nothing stops him first...

"Sounds good! I like that!" He holds his hands partially up to show that he holds nothing. "Let's not call it 'surrender', how about 'new employment'? Fortunately, I work for free at the moment. I just want to collect my boots and notes and belongings from the cellar, if that's okay with you, then I'm ready to board your boat!"
He makes no move as Krunch picks up his sword and bow - cheap, old, battered weapons, but nonetheless well-maintained and deadly enough in the right hands.

Meanwhile, Molo tries to pry open the drawers. Strength check: 14
But, alas, the desk is solidly built, and will not open. Molo worries he could bend his sword tip if he tries again.
"Whatever name, trust will need to grow, yes?" Krunch says as he stows the man's weapons. "We do go back to cellar, as you say. Others still there. Regroup and then discuss, yes?"
Krunch is never going to not be watching this guy. He saw these people commit violence, he trusts them not at all. Ideally they would indeed all go back and regroup...

Unless they have further business in the boulder-strewn field, Katernin, Kelnan, and Krunch begin their trek back to the stairwell, with a disarmed, but visible, Bayleaf. Dain watches over the captive guard.

Meanwhile, Molo detonates a small blast on the basement office furniture. (Thunder damage to desk: 4) It partially splits the side of the wooden desk. Molo gives it another tug. New STR check: 12
He still can't get the blasted thing open, but a thunderous, rolling boom emanates from the cellar from his thunderclap, quite audible above.

Molo moves to the next room. He’s not looking for hard to find stuff yet
