Fianna wants to take a short rest? That'd be an hour break if you want the healing benefits. Is everyone willing?

But before you can do that, Kelnan is on the stairwell, finishing his ten minute Detect Magic ritual. (Where would he like to go next?)
Kelnan also gets a glimpse down the western wing hallway on the ground floor (see updated map, below) which seems to open up, through an open doorway, into an empty room.

Meanwhile, Reed is interested in examining the downstairs rooms - which one first?

     She can rest while the others search if they don't want to take a breather...

Kelnan

Overcome by curiosity, Kelnan motions for the others to follow and attempts to quietly sneak down the hall to peek through the open doorway. "Magic down here guys!"

The rest of the party remains at the intersection, except Fianna, who watches Molo's feat from the entrance hall below.

 Molo heads down the hall looking to see what there is to see.

Molo explores the upstairs hallway into the east wing. The first door is open. It appears to be another decaying bedroom. It has no furniture, but rubbish is scattered everywhere, and webs cover the walls and ceiling. From the doorway, you can see a glint of light in the fireplace from a small, highly reflective object.

Meanwhile, Kelnan is exploring the downstairs hallway into the west wing, although his attempt at stealth falls short. The first door (to the room to the south) is open. This room was once a library, with bookshelves around the walls. Most of the shelves are broken, and in many places they have come away from the wall. The few shelves still intact are empty, but a pile of books rests in the southwest corner.

Kelnan picks up two magical signals - something from the room immediately to the north of him (the other doorway off this hallway) of indeterminate school; and something in the open room at the end of the hallway , to his northwest, from the Illusion school of magic.

Fianna is resting in the north end of the entrance hall, downstairs. Reed is with her. Lucky and Katernin remain upstairs, at the intersection of the two hallways.

Molo zeroes in on that shiny and remembers to be wary of danger, sneaking over to it.

"... I feel we should have stayed togeather," Katernin says, not sure who to follow.

Reed heads down the other hallway from Kelnan and opens the first door.

Molo quietly approaches the fireplace - there appears to be a small crystal orb of some kind amongst the rubbish in the fireplace. 

But before he can grab it, an enormous swarm of aggressive, meaty spiders wash down the walls with the muffled clatter of thousands of tiny legs.
Fortunately, the stealthy kobold has surprised them. He may act first.

Reed, meanwhile, peers into the ground floor room below Molo. It's an old living room of some kind. The only thing of note in the room is a clump of tiny red mushrooms growing around a fireplace in a semicircular formation. Otherwise, the room is bare.

Molo sees all the spiders and attempts to scream for aid before strumming his instrument and casting sleep

Reed shrugs and moves on to the next room. He thought the heard something from up above, but doesn't think anything of it.

Fianna

     "Everything alright?" Fianna calls out, thinking she heard a scream.  "You need help?"

Molo's spell catches the swarm of spiders by surprise, but his musical magic proves too weak to slow them down. (Some drowse off but are quickly awakened by their kin.)

A second swarm of spiders descends from the webs above the door.

Molo may act. 

Meanwhile, downstairs, Reed wanders along to peek into the next room in the east wing. Aside from a large amount of plaster that has fallen from the ceiling, this room is bare.

((Stupid question can I hear the fighting?))

Can Molo grab the orb and disengage to run?

Reed shrugs and heads back to Fianna. Nothing down that hallway except some weird mushrooms. I'm beginning to think this place was a waste of damn time.
