Knox head tilts to the side as Jhazaal transforms into a spider.

"Interesting."

Wendigo blinks twice, looking at the goblin-turned-spider, then shrugs and follows.

The goblins take one last look at the horrid monstrosity, then shrug and start off once more (4 6 4).  After about another 500 feet, the goblins stop you with an upraised hand.  Yuk Yuk speaks quietly.

"Well, knew it'd happen at some point.  We caught the spiders' attention, be ready."

Not long after he says so, 6 giant spiders slowly climb into view, pulling themselves up onto the silken strands and all staring at the group.  They don't make any moves right away, but their current intent is clear—food.

Miles:

Pulling out a large serving platter with a stout supporting handle, Miles cocks his head to the side and asks, "Do you think their legs would cook up like crab?  I've never tried spider before.  The meat might be kind of stringy."

Paquinal gulps at the sight of so many spiders, first the Goblin, and now four more. This is shaping up to be way more then he bargained for. Nonetheless, he prepares for battle.

Miles:

”You’re not catching me by surprise this time!” calls out the chef, brandishing his rolling pin threateningly.  “Begone or YOU will be on the menu!”

They're all in a group, taking up a 20 by 20 ft square area.

Paquinal waves his rod, passing it over each spider. As it passes one, a dart shoots out (Magic Missile).

Paquinal sends a barrage of invisible darts into 3 of the spiders.

They all rush forward 30 feet, then all 4 shoot their webs at various targets.  The first two are within 20 feet now.

 In his wolf-spider form, Jhazaal rushes forward to bite at one of the giant spiders...

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: 6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 2 piercing damage, and the target must make a DC 11 Constitution saving throw, taking 9 poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. If the poison damage reduces the target to 0 hit points, the target is stable but poisoned for 1 hour, even after regaining hit points, and is paralyzed while poisoned in this way.

(As a tie goes to the attacker, Vera is restrained.  Were the web attacks in melee range?  And is there a check to try and cut/ break free from the restraints?)

Wendigo rushes at a spider, moving with unnatural speed and attacking with a flurry of blows.

(He'll position himself so he's 10 feet away from another spider, if any of his attacks kill the first spider, the remainder will go on the second.)

Knox is covered in strands of webbing, binding his arms to his legs and his legs to the giant webbing he is standing on.

"This is most frustrating."

Knox pulls his arms up and out, trying to stretch out to his full height to break the webbing off him.

(If I use Misty Step, would that allow me to get out of the webbing without needing to make a check?

Miles:

Just barely deflecting the webbing with his serving platter Miles rushes towards the nearest spider.  A savage transformation comes over him as he rushes into combat and he whacks at it with his oversized rolling pin in a display of strength impressive for one so small
