Jhazaal frowns, patting his body. "Not mouth." He says in relief. He moves up to the others and listens in. "Joy day be nice." He remarks.

The myconid appears confused by Wendigo’s comment.

"What is something?  I believe something is a term used to describe a more ambiguous thing of which no details may be known.  I’m afraid I can’t share any details yet."

He listens with rapt attention as Knox speaks of Demogorgon.

Miles:

Wendigo groans.

"No. You say 'something great'. I ask what 'something' is. I want know what you talking about."

Vera Insight Check: 5

Knox, the myconid doesn’t seem to be as surprised as you might suspect that Demogorgon is back.  Additionally, the other sovereign seems . . .somewhat uncomfortable with its counterpart’s words.

Knox slows as he is nears the finish of his explanation of the appearance of Demogorgon from the lake, coming to a halt prematurely.

"...you already know about Demogorgon, don't you?"

Knox, looks between the pair of myconid's, becoming defensive in his posture.

Tilting his head towards Vera, Knox speaks quietly.

"We may be in a similar situation to the one we found ourselves in with the kuo-toa villagers, factions..."

Vera, hand slowly reaching towards her sword, replied to Knox quietly yet forcefully, "Are you positive?  If so we need to leave this place... now!"

Wendigo snarls, drawing an axe and backing away.

"Tell us what going on. Tell us or you become salad. Salad probably poisonous but whatever."

"Demons bad." Jhazaal says with a frown at the mushroom-men. "You make friends with demon?"

The sovereign blinks, then looks irritated.

"I would remind you you’re here as guests, strangers.  This is a serious insult to—"

The other myconid cuts him off.

"Hold.  These travelers have been on the road for days, likely.  They’re tired and suspicious.  Let me give them a tour first, everyone can calm down."

Miles:

"There's a difference between knowing about a demon and being buddies with it," says Miles sharply.  "Let's let them explain themselves before we get all hostile-like."

Insight on the 'shrooms:  18

The shroom who interrupted is very obviously uncomfortable now, although it seems more like with his counterpart’s behavior.  The other shroom just seems . . .odd.

Having been burned way too many times since her arrival into the Underdark, Vera stayed on edge, hand on her sword, as she asked the sprout that had just spoken, "Tour of what?  Stool, do you know what they're talking about?"  

"Understand, we mean you no hostility, but we are not sure you don't mean us hostility."

Knox looks back and forth between the two myconids, settling on the one that seems somewhat in distress at his companions behaviour towards the group.

"Yes, a tour would be good, to help settle our nerves, to reassure us."

Knox speaks in his metallic, almost monotone, that shows no sign of emotion.

The other myconid nods.

"Good.  Follow me."

‘When you’re out of sight of the the overly friendly sovereign, your guide turns to you.

"Don’t stay here long, outsiders.  The last group of sifters that came through vanished after taking Phylo’s offer."

He hesitates.

"I hate to ask this of an outsider, but . . .no.  Tour first."

"Murderous mushroom man. Great."

Wendigo grunts his disapproval, but follows for the tour, hands never too far from his axes.

As the group follows the myconid leader, Knox looks around to make sure they wont be over heard.

"Perhaps we should find a place where we can speak freely."

"It sounds as if you may be having some internal troubles that we should know about, for our own safety and in case we are able to help you also."

Jhazaal follows the others. "Came here for sanctuary, no where else to go..." He says with a frown to the mushroom-man. "Where else we go?"
