Reluctantly, Miles agrees, saying, "You are right, there are too many for us to fight alone. Let us go back and report what we have found, and perhaps gather allies to put down this foul perversion." He follows the others back the way they came.

As the group heads back out of the grove, Knoxasks.
"What did you find? Was it unimportant or overly dangerous?"
"Closer to the latter unfortunately. We should move quick and report back to Basidia as soon as possible..." Vera replied as her quickened her pace a bit.

"No it's not. There is another Greater Demon among us in the Underdark. We need to leave this place now before it's too late. Do you know anywhere safe?" Vera replied urgently to Basidia. She completely ignored the comment about Sarith, she wasn't sure if anyone else had seen the elf in the grove and wasn't ready to discuss it quite yet.
”We have seen fungal zombies who follow this demon, too many for us to take on by ourselves. If you have no place else to go, consider fighting to reclaim your home and we will help,” offers Miles, perhaps ascribing to the others his own willingness for a battle.

"If the greater demon is not yet here in your home, you may be able to remove the grove and its evil, with enough soldiers, but It is possible the greater demon is already here or is soon to arrive. This greater demon will make any fight exceedingly hard and many would be lost, either dying or coming under the demons control. Unless your military prowess is high, you may want to consider exodus from you home. I do not know where you would find sanctuary, but if the greater demon is here or coming here, then this place is or will become, no longer safe."
Knox looks at Vera, giving away no expression, before looking back.
"We may need to attempt to gain the assistance of the drow in this fight. It is possible they may be the only unified force large enough and militarily strong enough, to take on this problem. If we decided to pursue this course of action, do you know how we might get to Menzoberranzan?"
"No go drow city." Jhazaal says with a shake of his head. "Drow only make slaves, they no help, they no believe." He wrings his hands in concern at the meer thought of going to the drow city. "Jhazaal say leave this place, greater demon no friend either. Too dangerous stay, too dangerous go drow city, where go?"
"Yes, you’re right. We must leave while we still have the time—there’s no future for us here now. I will gather the two circles still willing to listen to reason, and leave this place. My thanks, outsiders—take this before we part."
He hands you an unlocked wooden box of some heft, and a hollow gourd filled with some sort of liquid to each of you.

"I understand your trepidation, but if we don't try to warn the drow, our only other known option would be to try and get to the surface and attempt to convince the authorities of the dangers we have been witness to. The delay could be costly though. If such creatures manage to establish themselves, the fight to drive them back to the abyss will be that much harder."
Knox looks around among those present.
"Unless someone has an alternative option, perhaps we should vote on our next course of action?"
At Basidia's offer of reward, Knox examines the wooden box, opening it.
“If you would marshal your forces to defend your home and are willing to die to end this portion of the demon invasion, I would fight alongside you, Basidia. If your people would run from the demon forces, though, I understand,” says Miles, clearly wanting to take the fight to the evil creatures, but realizing this is their decision to make.

"Healing liquid. Not as good as sleeping for you soft skins, but it’ll do the trick in a pinch."
Knox, the box itself seems to be finely made. It;s inlaid with silver, and you’d guess it’s worth at least something. Within it are 3 amethysts, 4 smaller diamond, and 1 large diamond.
Baisidia then turns to Miles, frowning.
"Are you daft? The Lady’s influence has already corrupted 5 of the 7 circles—we’re outnumbered in every way without even taking into account demonic forces. You may throw your life away however you choose, but I have responsibilities. And I will not let my people die or be subsumed."

As Baisidia finishes speaking, suddenly everyone’s eyes grow dark, and everything around you seems to spin,. You close your eyes, and when you open them again you see the inside of a great tower. Spiraling stairs and balconies are carved into its walls, with the interior lit by phosphorescent patches of mold growing in whorls. In the center of the open space floats a humanoid figure, womanlike in form, but made entirely of fungi and mold. She is easily three times the height of the fungal bridesmaids that move up and down the spiraling stairs, tending to their giant mistress. They croon a strange, soothing song as they weave the substance of the giant figure into delicate lichen veils and a long, mycelium train like a bridal gown.

The group returns to Basidia, who you find in the central circle with Jimjar, Eldeth and Stool.
"Is everything all right? We heard odd noises, and the dark elf stood up and walked out. We tried to stop him, but he was too fast."

Jhazaal sniffs the gorde, wondering what the strange liquid is. "What this?" He asks the mushroom man.
