Fletcher looks amused "Guys, I think it was a turn of phrase. And dont worry, if there is a kraken, we can throw Jullar to it as a human sacrifice" He says with a wink.

“I will take responsibility for what I have done. [...] If must fall, I will rise each time a better man.” ― Brandon Sanderson, Oathbringer.
Jullar looks worried for a minute until he realizes the Fletcher is joking. He sighs, and then says, "Yes, I apologize. 'Kraken shit' is a common seafarer's phrase. It means something is bad, twisted, or not right." He tries to explain.
(OOC: it's basically how they say bull shit)

"You may speak the truth regarding the agenda's of other ships but will this one actually make it across the sea? I'd rather be delayed and alive then take a one way trip to the sea floor."Evi responds
"Oh yes. Why, I was just out there this morning." He points out to the Splitting Sea. "Had her out for nearly 6 hours. I had just brought her back in when this fella here came offering me a deal." He motions to Jullar. "She may not be what she used to, but she floats and sails."

"Oh, that's a relief," Tender sighs, making a face. "Sorry, I'm from the desert. Sea-faring phrases tend to go above my head," she says, a little sheepish. "I suppose if this is our only option," she adds, still looking apprehensive despite her words, "then we should get going."
Sighing in agreement, "Yes if this is our only option, then I guess we better get moving." Though still very wary of their transport, Evi was secretly glad to also be leaving this area of the world behind for the time being.
Tender grins, always happy to talk about home. "Oh! It was always warm during the day, but it could get really cold at night! The monastery was just on the edge of the dunes, so we got sandstorms a lot," she enthuses, not seeming at all put out by the idea of giant, windblown storms of sand. "But watching the sun rise over the dunes from the eastern wall was amazing! So many colors."
Fletcher looks thoroughly confused. "But.....its the desert. Why was it cold? That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever." Fletcher looks a bit mollified when she mentioned the sand storms. "Oh, storms were a daily occurrence in Barrowden. Tonnes of snow and gale force winds.....we could only make it out of the mountain pass for two weeks at best. It is barely enough time for the traders to come with our grain........." His eyes take on a far away look as he trails off.

"I've never seen snow," Tender says, her eyes widening at the thought of it. She's seen images of it, of course, in the books back in the library, but never in person. "Is it really soft? The books all say it's really soft."
Fletcher snaps back to the present. "It depends. There are so many different types. Usually the top snow is soft and fluffy. It doesn't stay together very well. Then there is packing snow, which sticks together. Sometimes it even becomes ice low down, because of the weight of the snow above it."

“I will take responsibility for what I have done. [...] If must fall, I will rise each time a better man.” ― Brandon Sanderson, Oathbringer.
Tender wrinkles her nose at the idea of ice. "I don't know that I'd do very well in snow," she muses. "I hated it when it got cold at night. The acolytes usually all piled in together at night to make sure everyone was warm. I loved the days, though, and the sand," she sighs a little wistfully. "I miss it."
Kallista can't help but laugh at Tender's enthusiasm about the snow. She smiles as she listens to her and Fletcher describe their homes. Eventually, she cuts in, "Alright, you two, this has been lovely, but I believe we have a boat to catch. You can keep reminiscing once we're on the water." Her tone has no malice to it.
"Right, yes," Tender chuckles, completely bypassing the idea of being able to go home, one day. It wasn't possible, anymore, much as she might wish. "I suppose we should." She's still apprehensive as to the fitness of the boat, but well; nothing for it.
"Climb aboard!" The old captain says, waving his hand enthusiastically. He moves in a hobbling run, common for people of his age, but his movements are especially humorous. Jullar climbs aboard after the five of you, and even though he smiles, he seems to worry about something. "Well, we're off to Koria then!" Jullar says.
There's plenty of space on the top deck, only a few barrels and boxes obstructing space. The rails are splintered and broken in areas, making them not too ideal to lean on, but standing behind them does offer a beautiful view of the ocean as you depart from the port. Jullar leans against the central mast, if anyone wishes to talk to him. Otherwise, feel free to interact with each other or the captain. He tells you before you leave that the trip is nearly 2 days.

"Cargo ta deliver is all well an' dandy, but did ya say Kraken there Jullar? I'm no interested in tanglin' with no kraken," Orimdal crosses his arms.
(OOC - I'm happy to continue, we passed it and forgot. More interested in buying stuff haha.)
"I'm with Orimdal," Tender agrees, wide-eyed. "I'm not sure I wanna face a sea monster. I can't swim well."
