Musharib nods solemnly and then bids Gwen (and only Gwen) farewell: "Of course. I hope you shall find the wisdom to pick the correct choice." He then returns to his meditation placing Skullbash back from... wherever it came from (you're not really sure). Aazon then leaps back into the sprawling city with you all following him. "Almost done now! Only one more to go!" He then rushes past shops and performers and tabaxi and fountains and rain and splendid architecture and much, much more, to bring you back to the merchant district. Upon the midway point between the merchant and the market ward he halts, strokes his beard and looks around. "Now where could he be. He was supposed to be around here in the case of a tour." Suddenly the sun vanishes from the sky... or that's what you think until you turn around and standing above you is a humongous beast! The hulking behemoth has armor plates as thicker than even some smith's abilities, and a huge bulbous tail at the end of which is a rock at least as big as Yosben. However, you notice atop of the creature is a throne of some kind, sitting upon which is a giant turtle man! Aazon smiles glamorously, "Kwilgok! I was wondering where you were! We have several adventurers seeking a tour." Kwilgok then responds in a slow, but soothing voice: "Hmmm... I see. Welcome to Port Nyanzaru. I am Kwilgok, champion dinosaur racer and now the best guide in Port Nyanzaru. I have traveled to every corner of Chult, and I assure you, there is no place more beautiful nor dangerous in all of Toril. I have traveled up and down the River Soshenstar to the Aldani Basin and back. Pick me and you shall not go wrong." The ginormous dinosaur then releases a grunt, almost in agreement with its rider.
"So Kwilgok I have a couple of questions first. Does your dinosaur come with you as part of the guide? Do you have any combat experience? Any special skills or magical abilities that could come of use while in the jungle? Finally, how much do your services cost?"
The tortle nods from atop his dino. "Indeed. This is my ankylosaurus, Deadly Treasure. Quite a prize, isn't she? Follows me everywhere. As for special abilities, I apologize but I was never trained for true combat. I can fight just as well as any other Tortle(intentional), but I am sadly not as well experienced as others. I let Deadly Treasure do most of the fighting for me. Of course, most do not know the jungle as well as I do. All in all, we cost 6 gold pieces a day, with a down payment of thirty days up front. Very expensive, yes, but worth it, I promise you. May the sun and the moon always watch over you."
"Well, friends, I think I like Kwilgok. True, he and his ankylosaurus are expensive, but it will be a formidable ally. Also, he does admit his weaknesses, which I like. What do you guys think?" Yosben says.
Aazon bows to the "tortle" and says. "Thank you Kwilgok for your time. You have been very helpful." He then bounds away, Kwilgok then nods and directs "Deadly Treasure" away with a large leaf hanging on a stick. Aazon then leads you back up the beautifully chiseled stone steps, past the fountain in front of the temple of Gond which is currently spouting out a humongous snake fighting off an equally large dinosaur. The dinosaur looks similar to the victorious one that Yosben saw in the Colosseum (T-Rex). Eventually, you make your way back to the stunning villa of Jobal the Merchant Prince. "Well... That's the tour! I hope that you enjoyed it. Any questions?" He says, giving another one of his classic beaming smiles.
“When we’ve decided on who to hire should we come back here to you and pay you directly? Or do we pay the guide directly? Or is there another place all together we go to?”
Aazon nods. "Excellent question good sir, when you are ready to return here and we shall arrange a meeting at The Thundering Lizard, and from there you shall head out the following day. That means that you should be prepared to leave whenever you contact me. Also, from what I've observed, you shall be some of the only customers for at least the next tenday. Poast that, some guides may be taken, or others may return."
Aazon then knocks upon the door. "Honey, I'm home!" He then turns to you all. "Well, I hope that you all return soon... but in the meanwhile, I have business to attend to." He heads through the door and you hear a soft, soothing voice beyond just before it closes. "Ah, Aazon my lo-" The bodyguards then return to their standard positions and position their strange spear-like weapons in front of the door.
As you are heading away back to... wherever, Craben hears a: "Pssst, pssst, hey you, yes you handsome." Craben finds himself pulled in between several high-class villas by a stunningly beautiful Chultan woman. "Hmm... a Foreigner, I like foreigners." She stares at you for a moment, her eyes dancing up and down, and then continues. "Anyway, I didn't pull you here just to ogle you. I have a business proposition for you. You were talking to Aazon weren't you? Well look, Jobal's 'guides' are guides only straight to Kelemvor's grasp himself... or wherever souls go now. Faroul and Gondolo are charlatans, plain and simple. Hew suffers from Mad Monkey Fever, I'm sure of it. Musharib is an albino dwarf, and they're not to be trusted. And Kwilgok cares more about number one than anything else." She then looks you straight in the eye. "As for me? I've led many expeditions through the wilds of Chult. I know secret trails that appear on no map. While others might lead you astray I'll be there right away." She chuckles a bit. "Did you like that? I made it for you sweetcakes. Five gold a day, with no silly down payment's a pretty fair price to pay for your lives. Just have the money ready, and when you're heading out... I'll be there. So, if you're looking for a guide who'll lead ya' through the jungle, look no further than yours truly: Salida." Craben then feels something brush his face as the lipstick sticks out like a brand upon his left cheek. He barely has time to touch it and realize what has happened to look up and she is gone...
Craben immediately looks around to see where that woman left but upon not seeing her he thinks as he wipes away the lipstick stain I really wanted to tell her that she was barking up the wrong tree with that kiss. Maybe Yosben would have liked it. He continues on his way. When he sees Yosben and Gwen he'll inform them of this potential new guide he met. "And then she just kind of disappeared. Regardless, I didn't like her. You shouldn't promote yourself by tearing down others. Anyways we have a long night tonight followed by a long day tomorrow and I think we should prepare and discuss strategy for the stakeout and the pit followed by getting some rest."
Passing through the rain towards Wakanga O'Tamu's villa you pass by several more mistifying buildings, each one beautiful and an individual architectural marvel. One smells of perfume, another of... something, you're unsure exactly what though. Nevertheless, you make your way past a ginormous building that looks to be some kind of illustrious gathering place. Gold and other precious metals adorn the building (#4) to make it shine even in the downpour. It is then when you find yourself right in front of another villa, except this one smells of... ink (which I believe Craben loves). Two hulking Chultans also stand in front of the door to this building, but this time they simply look you over and converse with each other in the language of the Chultans (some of which you pick up: "Foreigner" and "Enter"). They then turn to you: "You Yosben, Gwen, Craben?"
For Gwen & Yosben:
The both of you begin to wander around the city, looking for new and interesting buildings to explore. One of them catches your eye, isolated atop a rocky formation in the sea, the building seems to be reachable only by an elevated causeway. Steep steps wind up the cliff from the temple’s small harbor. From this distance, the temple’s roof seems to float in midair. You then head closer, crossing the bridge towards it, still maintaining your balance on the slick walkway towards it. As you then near the building, you see that the roof is not actually floating in midair, instead the entire building is made out of mirrors bar the roof. Standing outside of said building is an attendant of some kind who greets both of you, although seems to be more interested in Gwen. "Welcome! Welcome to the Temple of Sune. Come in, come in, we have so much to teach you!" He then leads you inside as you see a wondrous area full of baths, massaging tables, makeup booths, and more. Immediately you are beset upon by several acolytes of a similar garb to the first attendant. They immediately begin looking at the both of you up and down, from all angles. "You know you could really do your hair like this." "You might want to add a bit more conditioner in your baths." "Why, just a hint of blush would work fantastically!" Eventually, you guys find yourselves being pampered an massaged and bathed and massaged and so much more. Several hours later a new version of Yosben and Gwen leave the temple, looking more pristine than ever (feel as comfortable as you want with your new "look").
You then head down, wishing to explore more of the city since you still have some time. You pass by an office standing inside of which is a humanoid creature who at first you think is dragonborn, but then realize their features are much more dragon than you would expect... he must be a half-dragon! You have no time to ponder this though as the half-dragon, half-humanoid man rushes out of the office and begins yelling at dockworkers and then rushing off somewhere else. He seems to be rather busy.
You pass the temple of Gond once more, this time its fountains are in the shape of (bc irony) rain clouds. Some children and their parents look over and wave cautiously, while at the same time holding their children a bit closer to them.
Eventually, you make your way back through the streets of Port Nyanzaru, passing by a dinosaur with a huge fin that goes straight along its back. Heading to who knows where else? (Going to give you guys a chance to respond before I post more)
Gwen willingly lets the attendants pull her through the pampering, massages, baths, and makeup, pleased with her new look. She walks through the streets with a spring in her step, smiling at anyone who makes eye contact with her.

But the harder the hero fought, the further the world seemed to tumble away.
Drowning in doubt, the hero could not even save themselves.
Hero, if you still believe in a brighter future, hold in your heart a thorn that can pierce all doubt."
Yosben smiles and waves at anyone who waves at him, and all that changed at the temple that he really cared about is his newly trimmed goatee, which he had never managed to do correctly before.
The guards look at each other, shrug, and then knock three times. Suddenly, the doors to Wakanga O’tamu’s villa grind open of their own accord. Inside, soft music plays from nowhere and drifting orbs of light illuminate the painted walls. The prince’s head is buried inside a gilded tome. Without looking up, he holds a finger to silence you until he finishes reading the page. Finally, you have his attention. He then stands up, looks you over and bows. "A fellow believer in knowledge... welcome. You must be Craben then, Syndra has told me much about you and your group. How may I be of assistance to you, Watcher?" (note Watcher does refer to a rank 1 Harper agent).
For Gwen and Yosben:
The two of you continue through Port Nyanzaru. Some of the Chultans who you wave at also wave back as well. As you move through the splendid archway you return to looking at the dry dock, holding many ships which seem to have fallen prey to whatever "Aremag", as Atuar said, is. Dinosaurs aid other Chultans in their repairs and although the work is not amazing, it is quite clear that the craftsmanship is cut above what you would normally see in many port cities. You then move past the Grand Souk, with Klevin waving a greeting to the both of you. After that, you investigate an isolated area (#16), many workers carry boxes and direct dinosaurs who carry great loads into warehouses and more. Finally, you head south into the Market Ward, and the smell of fish meets your nostrils. It seems that you've found the fish market! Fishes of both great and small sizes rest on ice troughs. Each one vibrant and exotic. As you pass through, countless merchants call out trying to catch your attention to their wares offering deals that are still far too high (or maybe great deals depending on your insight).
“Wakanga I presume. Merchant Prince of Magic. It’s a pleasure to meet you. As for help I’ve come seeking advice, knowledge. I’m sure you know of Syndra’s ailment and that we must go into the jungle to seek the cure. However, the jungle is huge and full of endless possibilities. If we weren’t on a timer we could just begin exploring however we’re not. Without a direction it would be fruitless just to go wandering in hoping to find something. We’re so lost on where to begin we’re thinking of following this dwarf on a quest to some mountain in order to reclaim some relic there. What I’m asking for is information? Information about Chults jungles and history. Or at least access to the information. I’ve spent my entire life surrounded by books. I know that the answers we seek to our problems are always found in a book.”
When Craben finishes his little speech/plea for help he bows his head and keeps it bowed until he receives an answer.
Wakanga smiles. "You are not the first explorer to be caught up in all of Chult's majesty. Nevertheless, you are correct, there is the aspect of time to worry about. As information, I can inform you of this. Being a merchant prince, although one less concerned with the politics of Port Nyanzaru, I am connected to the economy here in this city, and there is something you should know. Several shipments have recently arrived in the city, I'm sure that Soggy Wren told you about at least one of them, but what I have heard is that such items apparently are connected to the death curse in some way. I would at first go along with his plan to investigate this... who knows how much closer we could get to solving this mystery. After that, well we shall have to see."
“That makes this smuggling bust that much more important. I wonder if those doing the smuggling know anything. Maybe we could also trace the magic or get a feel for it. Thank you I really appreciate this. I have one more question. You’re the merchant prince of magic where would you recommend one goes in search of magic item to buy or enchantment services to purchase? We don’t have much money right now but we do have several jobs laid out to help us get some money for a guide. If we have any leftover I think purchasing some magical potions or some enchantments would be next on our list.”
Wakanga nods along. "Indeed. Although I am sympathetic to the Harpers, their constant compartmentalization is the reason why I am not an outright supporter of them. I am also intrigued by such possibilities, but... possible the dangers should first be considered before analysis." As you bring up the possibility of purchasing magical items the least economically minded merchant prince smiles. "I'm so glad you asked. I scribe scrolls and brew potions on a daily basis, along with several apprentices I have created quite the storage. Some of the more common potions go for eighty gold, scrolls with spells of the first circle go for one hundred, more rare potions go for three hundred, and scrolls with spells of the second circle go for two hundred. One thing you should know is that all the Princes have agreed on a ten-day waiting period for their more... exclusive wares. This applies, at least for me, for every seven hundred and fifty gold worth of items that you purchase from me."
Musharib nods solemnly and then bids Gwen (and only Gwen) farewell: "Of course. I hope you shall find the wisdom to pick the correct choice."
