The rust and unique archaic of the place reminded Borus of his old barracks back at 'home'. He gave a feint smile when Caal made his remark, but had yet to comment on anything.
Once the team reached the water, he stepped out of the way so his two companions could inspect the waters and let them be at work checking down the tunnel as well. He said little, "Let us not split up. Splitting tends to... resonate disastrous conciquences..."
He looked to Kraven and said as well, now with newfound respect, "Quick witted... I'll keep a mental note not to cross you mentally." Finishing the sentence with a chuckle, he responded with his last words before waiting for the parties response and said, "I can help with casting a spell to help our abilities just enough, however, I may be more of use to... help anyone cross the waters if the water continues to rise as we decend further down these stairs."

"Huh?" Says Qatya "Could you speak common please?"
A deep rumble emits from Brous' belly, "HAHAHA!" I like that half-elf!" He slaps Qatya on the back jokingly. "You and I will get along just fine. Maybe some time we can go on a hunt together. It is tradition for my kind to do so with a companion of theirs." He brings a hand to his chin and begins to rub it, once more seeming to mumble to himself. "However... I guess you could call this a hunt... in a way..."
Kraven signals the party to wait here a moment, then in a little girls voice, "Be back, check tunnel." And then will turn the corner and proceed down the hallway about 40' to see if he sees anything.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Caal continues to hang back, allowing the others to do the more intricate investigations moving forwards. He does occasionally look behind and around to keep an eye on their rear.
“If we’re all willing to wait 10 minutes, I can ask my goddess which way would be best...probably not needed here but keep in mind I can do it as often as needed, time permitting.” Khalani says.
"My grandad always said I should go to the right, because of my two left feet. So I think I we take the right path each time and eventually the right path will be the left path because if the right path is the wrong path then the left path is right... Right?" Qatya stands rubbing her temple for a moment after she finishes her sentence.
Not knowing the words to say to that response, however not having any better option give, Borus gives a shrug and says, "I am fine with going right. I believe this to be a maze of some sorts so we have to tred carefully, lest we want to end up lost."
Khalani moves up. "Let me check the door and area for traps." After waiting a moment for objections, Khalani casts murmurs to his goddess, asking for her guidance as he searches for traps down the hall and around the door, checking the floor, walls, and ceiling as he moves and carefully the door and around it.
It seems to be a regular hallway that leads to a turn.
