Keth drops to a crouch upon seeing the goblins and slides a tomahawk from his belt. He says in a low whisper, "They may have trouble seeing in the daylight. Let's see if I can get a little closer."
With that the native half-orc will creep slowly to the side away from Rictor's placed distraction.
Celeste, thankful for the distraction, also moves closer to the ravine, hoping to creep into a good firing position. Upon finding a decent hiding spot with a view, she begins to line up a shot where she saw the goblins' heads.
You see the goblins jerk their heads to the right slightly as soon as they hear the Mountain Lion Squall. The party is close enough to hear them chatter back and forth but not enough to make out what they are saying. In a instant they retreat into the dark of the entrance.
It seems all the rumors were true about their kind. They are neither industrious nor brave and seem to make poor guards.
Val-turning your attention to the goblins you try to make your way to where they are only to see them retreat into the dark of the cave. On the other hand you do hear the tell tale stomps of hooves as the burro charges at you, only to try and nip your tail.
Attack: 7 and misses. It, in turn, attempts to retreat back among the cattle.
All the party's attention is on this entrance in the side of the small ravine:

Rictor vigorously and thoroughly dusts himself off after standing and returns to the rest of the group. He heaves a sigh and says to Clay, "You might be on to something there. We'll lose the advantage of the sunlight if we fight them in the cave. I vote we smoke 'em out."
“I’d like that plan better if we knew for sure the goblins were the only ones in there. If some kid got taken...” Val lights a torch. “Let’s just go in there. We can do this.”
Keth, still holding his axe also draws his long knife in a reverse grip. "I will take the leads my friends, watch my back." He crouches and moves slowly into the darkness of the cave.
As each of bend low to enter, you find a cave on the other side of the entrance. With the torch light and light from outside you find yourself standing in a cone shaped area close to 30 ft. wide at its widest and approximately 25 ft. at its longest point. At the North East and South East corners of the cave you see tunnel entrances leading into darkness.
From the south you smell the odors of sweat mingled with cow feces and hear noises from the cattle coming from the South East tunnel.
The North East tunnel appears to be silent, though you do smell the mingled smells of rotted meat, fecal matter and goblin sweat.

Val sees that something is afoot and switches gears from trying to avoid letting the party be detected, and heading in to drag a goblin down

(OCC: Not the best way but, for now, its the only way it is letting me post a map...sorry for any inconvenience. )
Val returns to his usual form, and shakes his head glaring angrily at the burro.
”They’ve gone down into the dark.”

Clay slowly moves over to the rest of the group.
"We can start a fire near the mouth of the cave,, try to drive them out. Or we can go in after them. I'll back y'alls call."
Rictor vigorously and thoroughly dusts himself off after standing and returns to the rest of the group. He heaves a sigh and says to Clay, "You might be on to something there. We'll lose the advantage of the sunlight if we fight them in the cave. I vote we smoke 'em out."

"Fire and brimstone is kind of my thing, you know," he says, taking out his revolver. "Oh, fine. Let's go be heroes."
"Delightful. Right then. Let's go get our livestock and some goblin corpses."

Taking it that the party is approaching the entrance.
As you approach the entrance you do not see any goblins looking out but you can tell the entrance leads to a much larger room.
Cautiously you make your way to the entrance. No Goblins yet.
You sit and peek and eventually can tell there are no goblins by the entrance and there is a much larger room it leads to.
Entering? if so , marching order.
Keth, still holding his axe also draws his long knife in a reverse grip. "I will take the leads my friends, watch my back." He crouches and moves slowly into the darkness of the cave.

Val will light a torch and give Keth a head start before following. (2nd in line if no one has objections)

Rictor falls in line behind Val (3rd in line).
"I'll cover our backsides then."
Last in line, Clay keeps his Winchester,,, but prepares to draw his pistol or Calvary sword for CQB.
Perception: 5+5
Survival: 8+5
Rictor peers into the area lit by Val's torch and tries to spot any enemies as they move through the cave.
Perception: 12
And I'll bring up the rear!
