Keth vanishes before the parties eyes as Val casts his spell over the Half Orc.
You hear Keth climb down the 30 ft. drop. Though he is quiet the shifting pebbles and sand add sound to his passing. It takes a minute then the sounds stop. You assume Keth is down and checking out the surroundings.
Keth's voice drifts up from the bottom of the drop, "The tunnel leads to an intersection after a small bit. It seems the rough tunnel intersects with a worked one, some double doors as well. Plenty of illuminated moss down here as well."
Rictor seems to perk up slightly after the harrowing ordeal with the rats. "Illuminated moss, you say? Oh, I have to see this," he says with excited curiosity in his voice. He hurries ahead past Clay who seems to be attempting, and quite possibly failing, to be stealthy, all notions of sneaking up on the goblins forgotten.
The party moves down the steep embankment. (Dex Rolls please)
Once down your torch illuminates a small natural cavern. It is approximately 30 ft. wide at its widest and 50 ft. long at its longest point. The torch brings enough light for you to see the now cooling bodies of the goblins Rictor burned. The smell however is quite overwhelming.
You feel a slight air current coming from the southeast direction of the room. You press forward and find what appears to be a black curtain covering what appears to be a tunnel entrance. Pushing the curtain aside you find a 10 ft wide tunnel that leads east. The walls are covered with some sort of illuminating fungus. The light is very faint but does give a glow to the tunnel. There is a faint drip of water coming from he area. You notice that the walls have gone from a natural shape and setting to something that appears to have been carved and constructed.
As you pres forward you come to an intersection in the tunnels.
To the right is a tunnel that is 20 ft. wide and 30 ft. long and ends in a set of double doors.
Straight ahead is a tunnel that is 10 ft. wide and approximately 35 ft. long. Though your torch light and the moss lights it up, you do not see where it ends.
To the left you see a tunnel that is 20 ft. wide and ens in about 25 ft. into total darkness.

Once they reach the bottom of the embankment - and he recovers from his fall and the wounds to his dignity - Rictor waves his hand in front of his face to ward off the smell of burning goblin flesh and brimstone. When they reach the fork in the tunnels he stops and examines each.
"Hmmm, now if I was a goblin and I wanted to keep something important in the mine I call home wouldn't it make sense to put it behind closed doors?" He points at the double doors.
“Your call, hoss. I’m not real thrilled about our other choices,” Val says. “We got some time on Keth’s unseen qualities though, so we may want to take advantage of that.”
The party stands at the intersection trying to make a decision on which way to go when there is a rustling sound that comes from the left tunnel. Keth notices it and quickly turns but, since he is still invisible, no one in the party sees his reaction.
The first thing the party does notice is a light source coming out from behind the curtain. A lantern, held high, comes out from behind the curtain. Then the figure of a man comes from behind the curtain. You see he is holding the lantern. The man, approximately 5'11, thin build, bearded, wrapped in a brown cloak slides out from behind the curtain. He holds his lantern over his head and says in a voice that seems a bit winded. "Welcome strangers. What brings ya'll to my little home." he asks.
Rictor peers into the darkness expecting ugly, fanged faces to loom at him from the gloom, so when a man suddenly tottered up next to him without him noticing he very nearly jumped out of his skin. He steadies himself and puts on a smile that he hopes doesn't ring false.
"Hello to you, mister! We didn't mean to disturb you, we're just trying to root out some nasty goblins from your lovely domicile. Say, you know anything about goblins or swarms of biting rats by any chance?"
The Old man looks the party up and down before saying anything. he takes a breath then replies: "Well Sir, and ma'am" he gives a slight nod to Celeste, "Them was my boys, not natural like, mind you, but they found me when I was down and out and took me in. I eventaully learned how to speak with 'em and now we" he pauses a moment, "was a family." His voice seems to quiver a bit when he says the last.
The old man waits a moment then begans again "it seems they went and done something a bit hasty and it got them killed, at least that is what Clem told me." the old man looks back to the black curtain then back to the party after saying this.
"As fer the rats well, near as I can reckon, there's 2 types of goblin folks, ones that raise wolves and ones that raise rats. Clem and his brothers raised rats so, that be the rats I guess you'd be talkin' about." The old man pulls his cloak closer to him and takes a couple steps forward towards the party.
"So what brings ya'll down here amongst us? I ain't never seen any you before and it's pretty un-neighborly to come into a home and kill a man's boys and their pets so I'd kind a like to know the reason your here." the old man asks again.
