Astra watches Kitsune with much trepidation, holding onto a small purple crystal between his fingertips. He calls Faust back to help distract the frog by flapping around to draw its attention on her to buy the ranger more time.

If that Stealth roll isn't good enough to hide from the frog (it probably isn't but who knows), Astra will extend his hands, one open palmed and the other with the crystal held in his fingertips. As he moves his arms in a counterclockwise motion, his once lavender eyes go milky white as he murmurs, "Altarjie."
Using Chronal Shift on Kitsune:
As a reaction, after you or a creature you can see within 30 ft. of you makes an attack roll, an ability check, or a saving throw, you can force the creature to reroll. You make this decision after you see whether the roll succeeds or fails. The target must use the result of the second roll.
Stealth: 7
(If Kitsune passes with the advantage given by Faust, I will use Chronal Shift on myself: 15)

With you all safely hidden, the froghemoth pays more attention to Faust than to you all. Eventually, it gets bored and submerges back into the pool, waiting for it's next prey.
You use the key to unlock the gate to the shrine.
Steps descend to a ledge overlooking a pit of sharpened stakes. An alcove on the far wall holds a pedestal with a stone cube resting on it. A relief carved into the back of the alcove shows a monstrous frog with tentacles fighting a crane. Wooden beams radiate from the walls at floor height, with four-foot gaps between them. Carved frog heads extrude from the walls above the beams.
"Look! The wall relief. How fascinating." Orvex says. The wall relief shows a froghemoth fighting an eblis. "There is a story here:
When evening came, a wily eblis stepped from his reed hut. He didn’t like the Omuans, but without them he’d have no one to play his tricks on. The eblis sent a marsh frog to reason with Ubtao, but the frog was angry and decided to wrestle the god instead. This amused Ubtao, so he gave the frog tentacles to make it stronger. When Kubazan the froghemoth returned to Papazotl the eblis, he chased Papazotl into the swamp with his new tentacles.
SHRINE RULES: The pit is 30 feet deep.
A player can move around the perimeter of the room by hopping from beam to beam. To hop onto a beam without falling, a creature must succeed on a Dexterity (Acrobatics/Athetics) check, the DC of which is 5 + the distance (in feet) between the two beams.
A creature that falls into the pit takes 3d6 bludgeoning damage from the fall and must make a DC 12 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, 1d4 stakes impale you for an additional 1d6 piercing damage per stake. Ow.
You successfully cross one side of the beams and reach the pedestal with the cube on it! It's a puzzle cube! You look back quickly and see the beams that you walked on have retracted.

This applies to anyone inside the shrine.
Kira, as you inspect the cube, the stone doors at the entrance slam shut. You hear a hissing sound. The carved frog heads on the walls have their mouths open now. They belch forth enough gas to fill the shrine, and then close their mouths. I'll need a DC12 CON save please, if you fail, you take 12 poison damage.

Kira decides to assume Faust's assistance plops a dagger on where the cube was, then starts running back, hoping the group is working on the doors from the other side.
"No clue, but it's dumb." Kira narrows her eyes, and her invisible mage hand whaps the froghemoth's butt.

Kira, you mage hand whap the Behemoth's rear end, distracting it long enough for Kitsune to do something.

This doesn't look good at all.
What should I do?!
The bird is distracting the frog! Look at that!
Grandfather!
Kitsune will Disengage, grab the key out of the statues mouth, and while the froggy is distracted, jump from on top of the statue to the nearby land.

"Come on!!" Waving Kitzune over while the froghemoth is distracted, she barks as quietly as she can to everyone else, "Hide! Hurry!"
Kitsune, following Zyn's suggestion, runs around the corner of the wall and hides (Stealth: 8).
