And we are live again! I sorted some things out, so I hope to return back to normal. Posts will likely be shorter or less frequent, but there's no way I'm abandoning you guys. This is my first PbP campaign- I wish to see it to the end!

Since a confrontation was already obvious, this will just be a normal beginning to combat. Feel free to post your initiatives and combat actions. Tomorrow, I will get a post up with enemy initiative and combat order, and adjudicate the actions.
PS. PlumPie, would you agree that speaking is a free action?

"The bird man is a murderer! He's an associate of the crime syndicates, and has assassinated an innocent woman without remorse. He's no better than the Redbrands you seek to defeat, yet you welcome him in your ranks.
This was in an earlier post, but how does everyone react to this?

Jeb was not surprised to hear it. The crafty avian being was to good to be true; but he had shown himself to be a capable companion. It warrants discussion after the one-eyed beast is dealt with.
Now the fight's over, the creature was indeed a Nothic. Yet, I'm not sure I ever called it that...
I've had a DM in homebrewed adventures throw a Nothic at our party as a spy in an underworld-like campaign. It's probably one of my favorite creatures, and I'm glad you used the scrying feature they have effectively!
Looks like you let it slip in post 652 that it was a nothic.
Nice character role-playing Plum. Took me a bit to back off from my own reaction and try to figure out how Maglath would react to Lyre cutting up dead bodies.

Sure, speaking has always been a free action in the games I’ve played in.
Make sure to remove Sneak Attack on my roll if Jeb hasn’t acted yet.

Yep, ahah, no worries; it’s only fair the creature can speak the same way Lyre did before initiating combat on his turn.
Time for backstories to get known~
Sorry, was a bit busy over the weekend. I'm back now.

I think in one of Maglath's posts, he acknowledged he heard it but was going to worry about it after dealing with the nothic.

Sry that I missed the trapped bridge... It's been a stressful few days

It was s nasty little critter to be sure! Well played. Now we must roleplay the fallout of it's sneaky revelation.
