Ring slowly opens the door and peers inside as he does. He walks in, taking in the room with each step, mouth agape as he enters the gnomish king's throne room.
Rinn, the rest of the party and Pog are close on your heels.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?", King Korboz roars. His eyes wide, spittle on his beard. He is disheveled and agitated.
Everyone recognizes immediately that this opulent area is the Kings' private quarters.
King Korboz is frantically looking at a key he is holding in his hand and at Rinn leading the party.
It is clear he is very confused.
It is also clear that King Gnerkli is in a worse state, tied and gagged and a completely disheveled mess in a seat in the far corner near a huge four poster bed.
"Uh hey there, king gnomishness," Rinn gives a bow as he enters, "Some of the other gnomes under your rule were worried about you and thought we could help you out. We just got rid of your shape shifting thingy, so we've got experience," Rinn gives the king a big smile.
The party sees King Korboz visibly calm. He begins speaking jubilantly it Gnomish.
Then turns and rushes quickly to King Gnerkli freeing him.
King Gnerkli looks to the party over King Korboz shoulder while hugging him and says in common, "Thank you. Would you excuse us?"
Pog ushers the party out of the royal personal chambers and into the dormitories where they can rest and wash waiting for a summons from the Kings.
While waiting they learn that Varius, the barely five foot tall human and Nyx the just over three and a half foot, "very tall" Gnome had hit it off on early introductions, and ended up continuing their discussions through a long shift of harvesting and tending to the mushroom glades.
After some hours, the Royal Court is called into session. Varius is granted to stay and serve under Nyx. A grace that leads to a heated hushed conversation between Blaire and Eli consisting mainly of crude innuendo from her and reminders of the situation and protocol from Eli.
Lastly, Ms. Tervaround gives the party the delivery for Ms. Gwynn. She also gives them each three days rations based from the green gnomish bread and a bottle of purple gnomish wine (15 gp value).
After a good rest, cleaning, packing and very early breakfast, Blaire, Eli, Rinn and Ikki return to Umbrage Hill.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As Blaire, Eli, Rinn and Ikki crest the top of the southwestern crest of Umbrage Hill, they are met with the site of a camp of some six individuals camping among the cairns and a loud roar from the skys to the northwest.
You see a white dragon break from the brilliantly white clouds heading toward you.

Wolfsong flies to his feet from where he sat by the small campfire, his wolf pelt mantle fluttering as he does so, his golden amber eyes locked to the sky. Wolfsong wears plain brown cloth pants and no armor, his bare chest and arms are a gallery of scars from the claws and fangs of the various beast he has hunted, on his left hip sits a shortsword, while on his right are two handaxe, and on his back is a quiver holding four javelins.
"No its better," Wolfsong answers Blenn. "Everyone spread out, don't get too close to each other, we don't need all of us to fall to a single breath."
Wolfsong moves away from the camp but keeps within the range of his javelins drawing one of his quiver and readies to throw it at the dragon once it is close enough.
A young elven man hears something, and stands up from among the group of mercenaries. He turns and looks in the direction of the sound, eyes squinting up to the sky... "No, no, no, no.... it can't be!....", he whispers under his breath. Then all of a sudden, a white dragon breaks through the clouds. Terror grips his heart for a second too long, and he's left there, standing, mind racing...
Description:-
Robwin has a slight and youthful frame. In human terms, he looks maybe late-teens or early-twenties, but in truth he's approaching his first century. He has a pale and slender face, and pointed, pure-blood, ears and nose: all the hallmarks of a high elf.
He wears robes in the style of an apprentice wizard: no loose sleeves, everything short, everything tied back. Much safer if a spell goes awry! His apprentice robes only come down to mid thigh, and he binds the loose sleeves, and his trouser-cuffs, with cloth wrappings all the way back up to his elbows and knees, keeping everything neat and out of the way. All of his clothes are the muted grey-white cloth of an apprentice, aside from the short robe itself, which is a rich and vibrant orangewith white trimmings. It marks him out as a student of Abjuration from his school in Neverwinter.
He has pulled his long hair in to a harsh, tight, Dutch-braid, starting at one temple and sweeping over his ear, and round the back of his head, letting the end of the plait hang forward over his left shoulder (away from his main casting hand). In contrast to his 'school clothes', he also wears long, tough, travelling boots and a sturdy travelling belt and hooded-cloak. He has no visible weapons or armour.
@DM:-
((OOC: I think Robwin comes after the dragon in initiative, so maybe I should wait until the dragon acts before he takes any actions. I'll jump in at the appropriate point)).

Hearing the shouts and commotion a small Halfling woman comes running out of her tent. She is plain and unremarkable looking except for her long hair streaked in alternating bands of red and gold and her eyes the color of warm melted chocolate. She is dressed in robes of muted greens and browns, the bulkyness betraying some form of armor underneath. There is also a shield, that looks comically large for her, attached to her back.

Awesome! It's good to unplug once in awhile. I'm IT/Bus.App. focus prof. and P.R. focus volunteer srv. so my long gaps are usually client oriented. This is my breather/refresher. :-)
The dragon appears to be coming upon the group too fast, Wolfsong's javelin and the merc crossbow bolts miss their target.
The beast bellows forth a torrent of freezing crystalline gas from its maw.
Mercs, TT, Wolfsong, Robwin make a Constitution saving throw DC 15, taking 42 cold damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
The group had spread out per Wolfsong's warning, TT, Wolfsong, Robwin save with advantage; TT from cover. The other two from being at the edge of the blast.
Dragon Dex save 10 from TT's attack

Rinn / Ikki What are you doing as or just before the dragon unleashes this breath weapon against the temporary encampment?
