Melanthios's streak of luck runs out as he watches his arrow ricochet off the skeleton's (#2) dented helm. Koris, however, punches his dagger through the monster's exposed sternum. Poole hopes to land the coup de grace, but she loses her footing during her first attack, which makes her second attack go wide. As she works to regain her footing, she hears the eerie sound of a ringing bell--a bell that was just summoned by Irma. The sound unsettles Poole, but it does far worse to the skeleton. It trembles violently for a split second before crumbling to the ground in a pile of bones.
Anzir, seeing that the nearest skeleton has fallen, hurls his axe at the prone zombie. Acknowledging it is isn't one his best ranged attacks, he is surprised to see the zombie go limp as the axe sinks into its neck.
Hana splashes forward through the mud and water, ready to respond if the undead are able to make it close to the gate.
Two undead remain. The first, a zombie, staggers toward Poole with lifeless eyes and arms outstretched. The second, a skeleton, draws an arrow and lets it fly at the nearest foe: Poole.
Ranged shortbow attack: 15 | 7 piercing damage
All players may act, in any order. Only two undead remain.
Anzir, feeling a little confidence from his lucky hit, pushes another 15 feet into the muck as he uncoils his whip. Not quite sure he has the range, he will nevertheless slash at the zombie in the hopes of landing a strike.
Whip Attack: 7 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.

CON save for zombie (undead fortitude): 21
Melanthios watches his arrow slice through the rain, cutting a path between the other members of the party, before it obliterates the remaining skeleton.
The zombie, after being whipped, stabbed and slashed, momentarily gives the impression that it has expired. But, suddenly, after Poole removes her blade from the zombie's chest, the monster continues its eerie march with arms outstretched.
Irmaand Hana may act. One zombie, badly wounded, remains.
For a second time, the air in the ravine is filled with the mournful sound of a bell. The zombie stops its forward march, seemingly ready to fall into the mud like all the others, but its undead spirit drives it onward.
So, Hana steps forward and creates another bonfire (1 fire damage) beneath the zombie's feet...

Poole growls through gritted teeth as the bite/slam hurts her, and rounds back on it, trying to behead the undead horror. (Believe Poole had flanked with the others who moved in to melee range with it?)

(My apologies for the inaccurate map. Six characters, multiple NPC's, and a bevy of undead proved hard to track)
Melanthios's arrow sails high and disappears into the rain, but both of Poole's blades cut deeply into the zombie. Despite its multiple stab and slashing wounds, being burned in the fire, and being withered by necrotic magic, the undead rages on.
The third toll of the bell, complements of Irma, finally brings the battle to its end. Undead corpses and slain Chultans litter the floor of the ravine as water, mud, and debris continues to flow toward the city.
Sopping wet and surveying the scene, the six adventurers realize their battle with the undead was not the only one to have taken place in Malar's Throat. To the west, they see the outlines of a few other Chultans through the rain. They are dragging bodies to one side of the ravine, indicating their fight has also ended.
One of the nearby locals comments to the six adventurers, "Port Nyanzaru thanks you. A dangerous task you have undertaken. The merchant princes shall learn of your service."

Anzir grumbles as he continues to slog another 15 feet through the muck towards S2 and Z6. He draws his handaxe and hurls it at the closest enemy (S2).
With disadvantage due to distance.

"This kind of thing happen often here? Random hoards of undead attacking the city?"

Poole finishes her strike and slows the backswing, amazed that the zombie keeps coming. The bell sound rings and it finally goes still.
“Peculiar flotsam and jetsam. Men walking, swimming, but not. Who sent them? And is this river good for canoeing?”
She turns and asks her two questions to a local Chultan who survived the melee, helping them to their feet.
Anzir coils up his whip. Wiping rain from his eyes, he says, "We gotta get out here. I'm going to find Qawasha."
Anzir will look for Qawasha first in his known residence and then by asking the locals that came out to fight.
Koris goes with Anzir to find Qawasha.

Melanthios will follow as well, casually plucking arrows from zombie corpses as he goes. And whistling.
