Aimon moves to flank the dead-eyed halflings, finding a spot where they are too focused on the minotaur and on the charging Trill and Caeylnn, making sure a bolt is ready in his hand crossbow.

The minotaur’s breathing is heavy, its eyes wild. For a second it goes down to one knee as the halfling-things seem to get the upper hand. It lets out another bellowing roar, but this time it sounds more like a desperate plea...
It looks this way and that, frenzied rage in its eyes, before swinging... once, twice... with its greataxe:
Attack action: Attack: 19 Damage: 9
Bonus action (frenzy): Attack: 19 Damage: 15
@DM
((If the first hit takes one down it will target another, otherwise both are on the same target))
((Sorry, forgot to add rage damage. If these hit, each one has another +2 to damage. Also, I believe a +1 greataxe does all ‘magical’ slashing damage?))

Caelynn stops when she's 20 feet away from the "halflings" and draws two daggers from her belt. She flips them over once in her hands and a faint purple glow surrounds them. Then, she throws them one after the other, each aiming towards a different creature.
Attack: 7 Damage: 5 magical piercing + 3 psychic
Attack: 17 Damage: 5 magical piercing + 6 psychic

Topsy moves a little closer to the the halflings and hurls a dagger at one of them: Attack: 14 Damage: 3
Eldeth pulls out a warhammer and charges into the halflings with a dwarven war cry springing from her lips:Attack: 11 Damage: 11
Sarith follows her and pulls out two rapiers. Where Eldeth is loud and swinging aggressively, Sarith's attacks seem graceful and calm. Attack: 11 Damage: 5. Bonus action: Attack: 19 Damage: 3
Jimjar falls to both knees and pulls out a crossbow and fires a heavy bolt: Attack: 11 Damage: 13
The frenzied minotaur swings it as twice and cuts into one of the creatures. On the second swing, light flashes from a gem embedded in the head of the ax as it bites into flesh. The halfling pops and transforms into a cloud of mist as it dies.
Two gleaming arcs from Caelynn blast through on of the creatures, and it staggers before a bolt from Trill pierces it through its chest. It too some silently disappears into a cloud of mist.
Eldeth charges in, but her swings narrowly kisses the creature she targeted. Topsy's dagger sails through the air, and one of the creatures ducks as it hisses through the air above.
Using the missed dagger as a distraction, Aimon and Jimjar both fire almost simultaneously. Both bolts impact one of the creatures, and it's face comforts into an expression of silent anguish.
Seeing weakness, Sarith closes in on the injured one and in a smooth motion, he decapitates the creature. It disappears into mist.
Seeing that the tables have suddenly turned, the remaining halfling creatures fade into mist and disappear. After the cacophony of combat fades, angry whispering fills the air. The feeling of animosity intensifies. The whispering lasts for a few moments before fading, leaving the feeling of hatred with you.
@Trill
After the combats finishes, the gem in your powerful pouch suddenly flares with intense cold. Frost forms on the pouch as the air and mist around it freezes. The three clouds left by the slain creatures are drawn into the Tear of Sorrows, and the.gem grows colder.
Everyone make a Perception Check except for Trill as she already knows.
((Sorry that took quite a while to get to. I was really busy today))

Still not entirely certain in their safety, Caelynn draws two more daggers, the blades once again being surrounded with purple energy. She turns her energy to the minotaur, not attacking yet, but keeping a close watch on his next move.

The minotaur manages to fell one of the halflings. Seconds later, another falls to an unseen assailant. Then, from the mist, a dwarf springs forward to engage another, before a drow appears and cuts one down where it stands. More shots are fired: one with such force that a halfling is thrown backwards before bursting into dust.
As the minotaur swings again, the remaining halflings fade back in to the mist... and the axe cleaves through thin air.
The minotaur’s breathing is ragged, it’s eyes scouting wildly for the attackers that fired shots. It levels its axe at the drow in a defensive posture, untrusting. Then the half elf approaches...
Massive, black, cloven hooves take a couple of faltering steps back before the minotaur’s right leg gives out and it stumbles to a knee. It speaks with a voice so deep and slow that the sound seems to start in your chest before reaching your ears, “No!... ugh... Stay back!... Huh....”. It swings its axe in a pathetic arc.
Its eyes loll and it’s head sways for a second as the frenzy subsided and exhaustion hits.
Perception: 21 (another roll for disadvantage if this came after exhaustion: 21 )
Out of the corner of you eye, you can see that one of Trill's pouches suddenly forms a coating of frost over it. The three clouds left by the slain creatures drift over to Trill and are drawn into the pouches.

The energy does sag out of the minotaur, and a little sanity returns to its eyes as Aimon speaks...
((something like a military resolve check: 5 ))
He doesn’t quite muster enough strength to stand yet but he straightens himself up a little and lowers the axe.
Portrait:
The minotaur says, “The name chosen for me by my herd was ‘mmMBbwaauu-u-u-uurrrr’“. The sound mostly comes from its stomach and throat: a deep, resonating, lowing sound that continues for four or five seconds...
”But most people I meet these days cant say that... It means “Oak” and so that’s what people call me”.
Caelynn cautiously approaches from out of the mist, stopping next to Aimon. She glances back to make sure Stool is still safe in her bag before speaking.
"I'm Caelynn," she introduces. "We don't want to hurt you." The gleaming daggers still in her hands might suggest otherwise, but she'd rather be prepared if the minotaur deems them enemies.
Oak snorts, more to clear his head than anything else.
He quickly attempts to stand “My lady...” he says as he does so. He towers above all of you, standing easily over seven-and-half feet.
He is jet black, with leather straps criss-crossing his broad chest. He wears just a sturdy belt around his waist with a few tattered pieces of cloth hanging to mid-thigh. Aside from his axe, he has a short bow in a professional looking quiver over his back.
And pinned to the leather straps over his heart are two medals and a military insignia ((anyone with military knowledge would recognise it as a Captain’s badge))
Aimon eyes Oak more closely, noticing the clothing in tatters.
"Oak it is," he says. "Are you hungry? The lady Caelynn here has been providing us with a most amusing slime dish. If you can manage to swallow it, it does seem to keep you alive."
Looking off into the mist where the last of the wraith-like halflings fled, he continues, "And I don't mean to pry, but what was that little dust up all about?"
“Some water!... if you have any... please. I drained my last few drops sometime yesterday I think”.
Oak then hangs his head a little ashamed, “I’m sorry, my thanks are in order first. I fear those creatures would have had the better of me if you hadn’t turned up!“.
“I don’t know what they wanted... I got myself hopelessly lost down here. I should never have come. And they just came out of the mist before I could react”.
He bows “Thank you... ...you don’t look like you are with the slavers”. He eyes the drow suspiciously though.
Oak’s head spins as he hears his old name. He stares at Trill in disbelief... “Oh miss...”. You might even see a tear forming in one of his eyes...
”How?.. I?... I haven’t heard that name from another living being in... in a very long time!”.
Oak attempts to mimic the trilling sound and completely butchers it but looks very pleased with himself! The sound comes out like a kind of frenzied whale song “Ha!! I like this one! Ha... Ha...”.
(Oh dear, I didn't even see Trill's response!)
"I guess we're doing this!" Caelynn runs in after her.

Fantastic, Aimon thinks to himself. A possible wererat among us and now a uncontrollable rage-a-hol fueled barbarian in front of them.
He takes a step back, one hand on the hilt of his rapier.
"Steady there my overly large friend. I'm quiet fond of my head where it is and that axe swinging around threatens that state of affairs," he says.
Aimon watches the sanity return to the minotaur's eyes, and the energy sag out of him.
"I'm Aimon," he says with a flourish of his rapier and a bow. "I'll let the rest of this merry group of sightseers introduce themselves."
Putting his rapier away he then asks, "and who might you be?"
