Aimon looks at the cuts on his hands that have not had a chance to heal from the last time he used the jagged metal as a lockpick. But they desperately needed the weapons and equipment beneath the trap door. He takes a deep breath and begins to work the lock, doing his best to ignore the massive spider lurking above his head.

Zack would help be he doesn't think he could persuade the lock open. He then looks to the spider and the statue. "No one touch that or any of the webbing please. She can see us right now I suppose." Referring to the Spider Queen.

Caelynn hesitates. "I could, but I have very limited magic and I'd rather save it in case we're forced to go into battle." She surveys the group quickly. "Alkanos, think you could try breaking it?" At a glance, he appears to the be the most muscular and she figures he'll have the best chance of success.
Eldeth shoulders through the group and says, "Let me give it a try." Strength check: 11 . She struggles and strains, but to no avail. Jimjar says while eyeing the statue, "You guys want some of those eyeball gems? I bet they would sell for a pretty price."

"I think we have more pressing issues at the moment than money. And I'd rather we not get cursed by some spider goddess for stealing from her shrine," Caelynn snaps. After a moment, she deflates. "I'm sorry, that was uncalled for. Let's just leave the gems be and focus on getting this damned door open so we can get out of here. I'll have a go at it with the tool." She takes the makeshift tool from Aimon's shaking hands and begins fiddling with the lock.

Aimon fiddles with the lock for a minute, but the cuts on your hands makes it too hard. Caelynn takes the pick and after a few seconds of working the lock, it pops open with a click. The trapdoor springs open and a ladder allows for descent into the room below. Next to the ladder is another locked trapdoor. In this room, there are:
6 sets of chain mail
6 sets of studded leather armor
6 metal shields
6 hand crossbows
20 cases is crossbow bolts, each case contains 20 bolts
6 shortswords
4 daggers
6 bags of caltrops, each bag has 20 caltrops
4 100 foot long coils of silk rope
2 small hammers
2 bags of iron spikes, each bag contains 10 spikes
In the corner, there is an large, unlocked chest that contains everyone's equipment. It looks like the drow searched everything and took all the money however. Also missing are: spell components, any jewwlry, arcane focuses, Trill's instrument, and Alkanos's holy symbol.
If no one objects, Zack puts the following items off to the side so they can see what he would like to take. Studded leather 2 short swords hand crossbow 2 cases of bolts caltops 100 foot of silk rope Shield
He then dons his armor and a shield, then gathers his gear quickly. He drops his leather armor out of his gear.
Aimon looks at his own equipment gratefully. This might just work.
He bows to Caelynn. “Well done my lady. You are made of hardier stuff than I.”
He quickly appraises the extra armor and weapons and he too selects a suit of studded leather, a hand crossbow, two cases of bolts and begins getting outfitted.
”We must do this with haste.”
Once he has all his own gear arranged and the new armor donned, he examines the lock on the second trap door for any traps.
As he examines the lock, he talks over his shoulder “I can carry some of the extra rope, spikes and a hammer. We could use them for climbing if necessary.”
Zack looks to Aimon, "You said you found a petrified mouse right? Do you think we can grab that?"
((would it make sense that I would use fleece in my tender box, as I think Zack is smart enough to realize to pack it as tinder since it doubles as a spell component? If not is there any clothing that would have fleece such as the studded leather armor? Speaking of components, can I will take some string from either my clothes or some found and carve a bit of wood off of a torch from my dungeoneer's pack?))
Sarith and Jimjar both gather their normal equipment, but each take a hand crossbow with some bolts. Eldeth takes her own stuff. Topsy takes a dagger.
Sarith has chain mail and 2 rapiers crossed on his back. Eldeth has scale mail, a warhammer, and a sheild. Jimjar has leather armor that is under his clothes. Topsy has clothes. They each have their own sort of backpack with small items in them except for Topsy and Stool. When Eldeth gets her hammer, she kisses it and says, "It's been too long."
Donning armor takes around 5 minutes for the light ones, but medium armor takes around 10 minutes. Unless you want to spend time to put them on right now, you should probably keep them in your inventory for now.
Caelynn takes her own bow, quiver, daggers, and backpack, but leaves her armor in favor of a set of the studded leather. In addition, she grabs a shield, a crossbow and case of bolts, and one new dagger.
(Question for the DM: Can I put Stool in my backpack? He's small and slow and I'm worried about him keeping up with the rest of us. If encumbrance is something you're worried about, I'm currently 95 pounds under my carrying capacity. I don't know how much he weighs, but I doubt it's that much. I can also empty out the backpack so there is room for him to fit if you'd like.)
(I think there's enough that you don't have to give any up. There are 20 cases of bolts, so we're fine on that front. And there are six crossbows, so correct me if I'm wrong, but one each for you, me, Aimon, Sarith, and Jimjar makes five.)
Thanks to Caelynn's deft hands the whole group now had a chance to arm themselves. "Great job.", he whispered to her. Alkanos instantly grabbed his equipment and began to don his chain mail. Since he had been stripped of it, he hadn't been able to shake the feeling of being vulnerable and unprotected. Now, once again carrying with armor, shield and long sword, he felt a little like his former self again. The drow had taken his holy symbol though, another insolence they would pay for.
"How do we proceed?", he asked after he had readied himself. "If we are lucky we may escape without fighting." The Paladin had no illusions about the fact that a fight at this point in time probably wouldn't end in their favor.
((I erased all of Trill's items from my sheet for her, so now I need to see what equipment she'd have!))
She gathers her belongings, and adds to them a hand crossbow, four cases of bolts and a bag of caltrops for now. She'll have a look at the bags of spikes.
((Are these spikes like pitons for climbing with hammers and rope?))
6 bags of caltrops, each bag has 20 caltrops - 1 Zack - 1 Trill = 4 remaining
4 100 foot long coils of silk rope - 1 Zack = 3 remaining
2 small hammers
2 bags of iron spikes, each bag contains 10 spikes

“Yes, we need to get moving,” Aimon says as he scoops up 100’ of the extra rope and a small hammer and bag of pitons. The guards won’t be distracted by the demon battle out there much longer.”
He then uses his own, set of thieves tools to work the lock of the second trapdoor next to the ladder.
Hearing Sarith now communicating in common brings a bit of a smile to Zack's face, a smile he hides. Maybe there was hope for him. "Ready as I'll ever be." Zack replies. He knew this was going to be rough, but it was going to be better than that damn cell and his twisted kin. Now he was only worried about keeping everyone together and making it out alive. He then takes two more cases of the hand crossbow bolts which he deposits into his bag.

Stool weighs about 20 pounds. He is small enough to fit in your backpack, but it will be tight.
You can make those components from your equipment.
The spikes can act as pitons.
