Since nobody else seems to want them, Caelynn takes the remaining daggers. She then slings her pack off her back and squishes all the equipment down to the bottom. Kneeling to the ground, she picks up Stool and nestles him in the top. "I know it's uncomfortable, but it's just until we can get out of here. I don't want you getting left behind." She gives him an apologetic smile, picking the bag back up. "I'm ready. I saw the waterfall he spoke of; it's just outside the shrine."
”Let’s just see what’s down here before we jump down a waterfall. As much as I like a good swashbuckling escape, I wouldn’t mind if this was a hidden staircase to safety.”
Alkanos took one of the remaining studded leather armors and crammed it into his backpack. With that he was ready to go.
"If our plan was to jump down a waterfall, we could have skipped arming ourselves first. Our gear won't help us when we are drowning.", Alkanos said to Aimon in agreement.
"But it will if we're forced to fight the drow or the demons, or something else after we've escaped. The Underdark is a dangerous place. I wouldn't have survived here as long as I did without my weapons," Caelynn counters. "Still, we can check if there's another way out."
"It makes no matter. There will be no 'after the escape' if our gear pulls us under water.", Alkanos was certain. "The lift seems to be the best option to get out of here. The drow are distracted by the demons."
The lock pops open easily with your real tools. Another ladder descends into a room with another trapdoor next to it. Inside, the walls are hung with black mesh from a central spot on the ceiling resembling a spider web, and then draped across the walls like curtains. Thick, woven mats cover the floor, while a low platform is covered in cushions and pillows to form a broad, divan -like bed. One side of the chamber contains a small table and two chairs, while the other holds a small shrine to Lolth, draped in white silk. A heavy, black-stained chest sits at the foot of the bed.
(The fighting is taking place about 10 feet from the lift)
Aimon looks back at the others. “There’s another trap door down there. Could be a way out or a dead end that is going to leave us trapped. If someone will come down with me to stand guard, I’ll open the trapdoor and see where it leads to.”
If he was going to look for something nice and shiny to snag it would probably be in that chest. Might be worth taking a look while he was down there.
"We need to make this quick.", Alkanos told Aimon. He hoped that this wasn't a wate of time. They wouldn't have much more time before drow or demons would come after them. "I'll cover you."
“Let’s go my lady. Hopefully we will not need your deadly duelling skills. Your melodic inspirational song warms my heart. I hope the extra energy will not be needed to fend off a magical or poisonous trap below.”
Aimon climbs down into what can only be the priestesses chambers. He moves quickly to the trapdoor and works the mechanism.
The trapdoor easily pops open and reveals a small room below. There are cushions on one side that act as a bed. A small table with to chairs rest in the chamber. Another chest is next to the table.
As you do this, Jimjar says, "We should really be going." He looks nervous.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Aimon looks up at Jimjar and nods. They’ve burned through a lot of time here and it looks like a dead end. He looks longingly down at the chest in the chamber below. Damn, it doesn’t matter how amazing whatever is in there happens to be if they just end up back in the cells.
He looks to Trill and Alkanos.
”Cut and run?”
He calls up to the others. “Someone should race ahead and check on the situation up top.”
He waves Trill and Alkanos up the ladder.
As Trill begins to climb he casts another look at the heavy black stained chest next to him. He can’t resist this one. I’ll be quick he thinks. Really quick. Mad dash to end all mad dashes afterwards.
"I'll go," Caelynn volunteers, shouldering her pack and climbing back up the ladder to the top floor. She pokes her head outside to see what's going on.
Trill is halfway up when she hears the clicking of picks in a lock, looking back over her shoulder at Aimon.
She gives a sigh that a long suffering fisherman's wife used to give when she had to drag him away from his pints, but clings to the ladder in case he needs rescuing... or help carrying valuables.

Aimon, your deft fingers easily open the lock with a click. To your surprise, you hear a secondary click as a needle ejects from the lock and stings your hand. Make a Constitution Saving Throw.
The chest contains clothing, a pewter pitcher with matched goblets, a small purse with 20 gold, a black velvet mask with stiched silver thread resembling a spider web, a set of bone dice etched with Elvish words, and a flask of blue syrupy substance that smells strongly of alcohol.
Caelynn, as you peek outside, you can see that 2 of the Chasme and one Vrock have fallen. Several drow are sprawled across the ground, but you can't tell if they are knocked out or dead. The battle appears to be coming to an end.
Zack will be with Aimon and whiteness the the sting. "Oh no. That can't be good." He says with a bit of surprise. He looks at the mask and then back at Aimon to see if he is ok.
