Brunella sees Oniss wince at her comment. She bites her lip. She can tell that she has, once again, inadvertently offended someone. But she never seems to understand why, or what the right thing to say is.
One of the warriors continues: " The least we can do is helping you standing watch through the night. At dawn, we will take the way back to Fort Belurian."
Felix notices nothing out of the ordinary.
"I'll take the first watch. Who of you is of highest rank?"
Gertrude sits down with person of highest rank to watch out for dangers from the jungle. She then reveals that she is with the flaming fist too, sent to find the soul monger artefact...
Gertrude comes to know that the leader is the priest, the one who told their misadventure. They have no official rank, being no part of the Flaming Fist, just hired by them. However, they are obviously relieved that the Flaming Fist is keeping the good work." I am honoured to meet you,"the priest says to Gertrude." I wish we could something more, but we have to report back to the Fort, I will speak highly of you to the blaze Liara Portyr."
Willing to share share his Taj but not his complete trust with the lost party, Irommek chimes in after the offer to stand watch.
"Oh, don't be daft. We've let you share our fire and food and we would be poor hosts if we made you pay that back with shifts on watch this evening. Please, have another drink and rest this evening. After so many nights on edge, you could use the rest, I'm sure. Just giving us information on enemies and tactics you've more than paid for the food and a good night's sleep."
Irommek takes another drink from the Taj himself before handing it over to the party. It would seem that he's starting to acquire a taste for the Taj. It's still no ale though.
The Tej is very well appreciated. The night passes quietly and no monster comes out of the shadow to eat the two parties. In the morning, the explorers proceed to follow the river on foot, back to civilisation, while the party of adventurers goes deeper into the uncharted territory.
Few hours after the breakfast, The characters encounter 6 giant lizards sunning themselves on warm rocks. They spot the adventurers and stay alert.
Gertrude alerts the group, swinging her oar slowly to not upset the lizards, trying to move slowly towards the other side of the river, hoping to just glide past them without triggering an attack....
In his travels to Chult, Irommek tried gator tail for the first time and thought it to be rather tasty. He looks now at the reptilians and wonders once again if the same can be said for lizards.
He sighs and also paddles quietly to avoid any troubles.
Musharib is just delighted to encounter one of his favourite animals. GIant Lizards love staying hours sunning, as Musharib does. He stops the canoe near a solitary lizard, without bothering it."Let me try this..."He speaks some strange words, moving hands too. When he has finished, he emits some weird sounds. Giant-lizard-like sounds, and it seems they are intended for the lonely lizard, which...replies to Musharib. After a while, Musharib bows to the lizard and come back to the canoe."All right, my friend there has some information. First, the deads who walk are only on the left side on the river, not on the right. They do not smell good. Second, they encountered a pack of those stinky monsters earlier this morning. They escaped, of course, they run quite fast. It should not be more than a couple of hours inland..."

Gertrude just stares at Musharib in awe. She was expecting a fight! Now these animals are giving us information!
Then Gertrude realises... Does this Musharib dwarf have a plan? Maybe even with fighting?? Finally!!
Irommek puffs out his chest with pride and nods in admiration of Musharib’s understanding of the jungle and the creatures in it.
“That’s what I’m talking about brother! I was thinking about eating these beasts but getting information from them is even better! What’s the call? Are we taking a little side trip and going after some of these monsters?”

Musharib docks the canoe on the left side of the river, far from the lizards. He starts leading the party into the jungle, toward the direction suggested by the lizard. After one hour wander under the dense canopy, Musharib sniffs the air and checks the ground: Survival check 15

After twenty more minutes, Musharib stops the group:" They are close now. Wait here I go ahead scouting."It does not take long. When Musharib comes back he is a bit worried."They are more than I was expecting. Nine undead things. And not the slow ones. The ones with a long tongue...We stand a chance only if we take them by surprise."

Brunella looks for tracks, but the jungle is too thick and dense to see anything
