The chromatic orb strikes true!

While Inete holds a spell, the orange grungs cry the retreat command: the chief is dead and they are being butchered. They disengage from the melee and try to go north. The hadrosaurus stays on the stairs in front of the stone door, frozen for the fear of these mighty mammals.

OOC It should be Irommek's turn now if you wish to keep the Initiative, but the battle is essentially over.

Shaking in fear and rage, Brunella squats down for a moment, exhausted from the adrenaline. She gathers her sword from the ground, and walks up to the fighter who gave her courage in her time of fear. She looks at Irommek gratefully, and clasps her hand on his shoulder in thanks. To Irommek, the casual gesture feels like someone set a bag of bricks on his shoulder, but he knows there is no hostility from his fellow dwarf. No words are needed, the two understand each other.

After this short moment, Brunella moves to the hadrosaurus, making calm gestures.

The hadrosaurus stays where she is for the moment. These mammals seem not a treat to her, but they are mammals nonetheless. Not that the frogs were better, she just desires a worthy rider.

Oh, but there is a turtle there. Too heavy, though.

And there a dino-man! Never seen one of those.

Irommek smiles at Brunella and follows her to the hadrosaurus.  Seeing her calm the beast, he asks Valkauna for guidance and does the same while attempting to mount the dinosaur to prove that he's its new master and a true drwarf-rider-of-dinosaurs.

Felix seeing Irommek struggling will try to steal the mount from him. "Shh there there, here we go."

Oniss watches the party interact with the dino.  Then turns his attention to gd grug.  He inspects the body for anything interesting or useful... especially if it related to the temple.  

Investigation 7

After a moment of pure panic, seeing a clumsy and heavy dwarf trying to mount on her, here it comes the masked human. Apparently, he knows how to behave, although he doesn't smell good. She will let him ride on her... for now.

There is nothing useful on the gold grung corpse. Fancy headwear and clothes are the only noteworthy things.

The stone door of the shrine is closed but not locked.

Patting and rubbing her chin, Felix will head to the door not mounting the dino. "Let me check the temple for traps." 

Perception: 16

Kurma is stepping in the entrance of the temple, listen a few second. He then stays behind Felix, keeping his spirit guardians as long as possible (10min)

Torches shed light over rooms filled of treasure: chests heaped with coins, polished amphorae, strings of pearls, and ornate pieces of armor. Set into the floor in front of another double door is a mosaic depicting a frog-like humanoid beating a leopard that has snakes emerging from its shoulders. Cuneiform inscriptions are woven above and below the combatants.

No trap is detected by Felix.

"Finally! Something worth all the troubles! Oniss let's dig in, be careful though still could be trapped!" Felix begins to investigate the area looking for anything hidden.

Investigation: 20

There is nothing hidden as fas as Felix can see, but the stone door which should grant access to an inner chamber is locked with, apparently, no handles and no keyholes. A cuneiform inscription is carved on the door.

"Okay guys start with the inscriptions, I'll take care of all the treasure!" Felix is obviously going for the gold and doesn't care about the puzzle piece at this point. All the chest Felix will inspect before opening them.

[Let me know how many check he would need. He does have a passive investigation of 17 to check the traps.]

 OOC No check is needed, and I considered the 23 for investigation. No traps. The gold amount is equal to one shy of 10,000 (ten thousand) pieces.

Oniss pockets a few feathers and beads from grungs headdress. He follows the group into the temple.
