Symon's initiative  16

Symon will stand in awe at how quickly everybody hustles around, heck he didn't even see anything that appeared worrisome and then, poof, there' two goblins!  And one just sort of drops dead when Dale neatly divides it with his axe.

"Holy aroma of Tilly's bloomers," he mumbles under his breath. "This might get a bit dicey, at least for the goblins, heh, heh. Stinky scumbuckets."

Should it be necessary, i.e. if the goblin tries to escape, everybody misses, etc., Symon will blast it with a fire bolt.

Attack: 6 Damage: 5

But only if necessary; and he will be careful to keep a weather eye out for any other of the scum lurking about.

 The goblin jumps up from his rest and stabs Dale, Attack: 14 Damage: 3

(Doesn't hit AC 15)

Dale responds with his battle axe, not knowing how many goblins are waiting in the cave, Dale decides to not yell out, but to stare intensely at the goblin while trying to cleave the goblin in twain. Attack: 13 Damage: 6

The goblin dodges out of the way, DevanAvalon’s turn.

Alton will shank the goblin who hit Dale with his shortsword. 

To hit: 23 Damage: 6, plus 2 Sneak.

In the event of a miss, he will shank with his dagger via Two-Weapon Fighting.

To hit: 11 Damage: 7, plus 2 Sneak.

Seeing the last goblin fall, hopefully without a squeak, Symon will stride up toward the cave, still keeping a weather eye out on their backtrail.

The cave is dark, with no way for you to see in it.

 Also everyone gets 20 EXP.

"Alright. I've got a lantern and enough oil for like, 6 hours. Do we want me to go ahead and use it, or just go by candle light? Cause I can do a candle too." Alton asks in hushed tones as he wipes his blades clean of goblin blood.

"I can sneak in and see a little way down" Dale whispers, Dale goes up to the cave, and looks a little way in

Going down a thin pathway heading north, with a stream of water flowing the other way. After inside a bit, you see the pathway heading down to a flight of carved out stone steps, or a pair of steps to the east.

Symon will move up to the entrance, "If we need a llight source, I can cast a dweomer on any object.  It'll last 'bout an hour; wont do much to keep us sneaky, if that's what we want, but for myself, I cannot see in the dark.  Anybody got anything else?"

"I mean, I've got the lantern." Alton shrugs. "I don't mind being in the dark too much though."

"Aye, I suppose if I could see in the dark it wouldn't be too bad either, but should trouble arise I'd like to be able to see the foe; don't want to be flinging magic around willie-nillie; and I would like to aid as I can."

Symon will ready a scroll of Magic Missile, just in case, informing the party, "I can blast anything that threatens harm pretty good."

OCC Does a scroll of magic missile automatically hit as does a 'cast' spell?  The verbiage re a scroll is a bit vague on that point.

 (All scrolls are casting the spell as it normally does. So yes, Magic Missile scrolls autohit too.

"Well," said Darius in a low voice, "no point in waiting to see what comes out. Alton, you've got the lantern, might as well take the lead on in there."

He turned to Symon with a rather harsh smile, "No offense, but he is a bit hardier--and sneakier--than you."

Dale comes back out and passes on what he saw.

"Well he's more stealthy then me as well if that gives you any consolation" he mentions to Symon with a shrug

Alton laughs as he loads up his lantern with the oil. "Darius, ain't you a fighter? Here, you take my lantern for now... I'll be right behind you. Literally." The halfling then, true to his word, sets himself in Darius' shadow so that he can be hidden from other enemies at the start. "Though, I do expect to get that lantern back by the time we're done here." He adds with additional mirth in his voice.

Stealth: 25  (man, I am making USE of the whole halflings can hide behind human allies thing)

Dale shrugs at this and moves up with Darius at the front

 "The truth has never offended me, friend Darius, might make me madder 'n hell, but offend?  No.  Reality has a cruel twist to it and reserves that cruelty, bluntly applied, for those that do not appreciate the truth, now being blind, well we are all that at times." He chuckles softly.  "Oh. the irony."
