Alton will move up next to Wolf 1, shank it, and then disengage and try and get out of reach.

Dale will move up to wolf 3 and attack

Alton rushes up to the wolf. "...Sorry, buddy." He says, in a brief moment of sympathy as he draws his dagger... and drives his sword and dagger into the wolf.

Shortsword to Hit: 14 Damage: 4 + 6 Sneak Attack if it hits.

Dagger to Hit: 19 Damage: 5 (+ 2 Sneak *if* Shortsword didn't hit.)

"Hmmm, wolf steak anyone?" Symon says with a soft chuckle.  "Wonder what they are, er, were guarding, or if they were just watch dogs...goblin style?  If we're lucky we did not wake up the neighbors."

"I'd guess at best maybe a small scouting party, at worst a small garrison. One things for sure, these aren't just your normal household pet"

"Have to agree with you there," Symon says. "What was with all that water, anyone have a guess?  Seems like a lot of work given the situation." He shrugs, "Though who can say anything about goblins," he pauses, "maybe their master, or ruler, or what ever they term the head honcho? I mean they might be trying to protect something important."

"possible that they heard us or saw us and tried to spring a trap? I'm not a betting dwarf but I'd put odds on it not happening again, but they'd have some more tricks up their sleeves"

Darius looked around the room they were in, leaving the dead wolves alone. "If anyone wants a wolf pelt, now's a good time."

"...I still feel kinda bad for the wolves... It isn't their fault." Alton murmurs as he pats the bodies of the wolves before moving with Darius to check the room as well.

On the natural ceiling of the room, you notice a thirty feet high bluff to a small hole in the wall, possibly leading to another room.

Darius grumbled when he spotted the hole. "Where's an Aarakocra when you need one?" he quipped under his breath as he stowed away his blades.

"Looks like that's our exit," he said to everyone, pointing toward the opening. "And I'm willing to bet it's booby-trapped, but it's not like we can do anything else from here."

He turned to Alton, pausing a second to make sure he had his attention, rather than be focused on the wolves. "Are you up for disabling whatever we find? If not, one of us can give it a shot."

Alton puts his weapons away and nods as he reaches into his backpack, producing pitons and a hammer in addition to the rope strapped to his bag. "Second story work, quite literally." He says with a small laugh and he examines the bluff. Are there enough handholds he can go up while placing conservative amounts pitons for the rest of the party, or is he gonna have to use more of the 10 he has to make his own handholds to get up as he loops rope through?

 Symon looks up at the hole in the wall, "I have a grappling hook, might that not work a bit better? Not so much noise and a wee bit less work, yes?" He'll dig out his grappling hook and hold it out to Alton.  "Besides, pitons can be difficult to recover, so let's try to save them until we really need 'em."
