The goblin doesn't have time to react as the bolt enters his chest, putting him out of his misery. With that, Lowblo sneaks toward the cave entrance and enters. Everyone is able to see that the cave starts to slope gently upward and that there doesn't seem to be any lighting inside.
Lowblo skirts around the small path on the right side of the passage, the left side being occupied by the stream.
Just inside the cave mouth, a few uneven stone steps lead up to a small, dank chamber on the east side of the passage. The cave narrows to a steep fissure at the far end, and is filled with the stench of animals. Savage snarls and the sounds of rattling chains greet your ears where three wolves are chained up just inside the opening. Each wolf's chain leads to an iron rod driven into the base of a stalagmite.
Since the wolves do not seem to have noticed Lowblo he takes a quick peek to the north:
The main passage from the cave mouth climbs steeply upward, the stream plunging and splashing down its west side. In the shadows, a side passage leads west across the other side of the stream.
Note: On this map the "rubble" is considered rough terrain for movement. Also anything past this point on the map will require a light or dark-vision to see.
"We should free the beasts," Chantrea says when Lowblo is finished relaying the information about the cave. "They will suffer needlessly if they remain chained. Although, it would be best to feed them first, lest they attack. I have some rations...." She slides her pack from her back and begins to rummage.
Ruvaar nods in agreement as Chantrea suggests feeding the wolves before freeing them.
"Aye. I have no desire to tangle with an angry wolf at the moment. Perhaps we feed them on the way in and release them from their chains as we make our exit with Sildar. It would make for a good distraction, allowing us to get by them without incident."
You head back into the cave again as quietly as possible. You have a closer look around for anything suspicious. You don't notice any traps. You can hear the wolves snarl at each other once in awhile over the running water. You find no signs of traps. Just as you are about to head back you notice something out of the corner of your eye. Felling more confident you chance a quick look.
In the shadows of the ceiling to the north, you can just make out the dim shape of a rickety bridge of wood and rope crossing over the passage ahead of you. Another passage intersects this one, twenty feet above the floor.
Chantrea huffs and pulls out a small bundle wrapped in waxed cloth. "There's enough here for two days, which will barely be a snack for hungry wolves. Do we have any other options?"
Daeris looks through her pack. . "I have about the same. Is anyone a hunter? Maybe we could catch something near the cave? " Looking to the stream, "Maybe there are fish. I don't have anything to catch them with." she adds, looking to the others.
Nelly lifts one dark red eyebrow in a high, questioning arch. One of the first things her papa taught her was to never eat goblin. 'Worse than raccoons' he said. 'Worse than dire raccoons.' She had never felt the urge to test her papa's wisdom there, nor to torture wild free-range fangorious beasts. So with all that bobbing around in her head, the girl gives it a swift shake.
"Not like they're goin' ta starve right now. If'n we keep going, we're likin' to find somethin' less stringy. An' goblin bandits ave' parasites, truth." Her mind spoken, Nelly prepares to move ahead with Lowblo to see what is past the rickety death trap bridge.
Watching her companion speak, Chantrea begins nodding.
"True, true. Presumably, we'll be returning this way to leave, and perhaps there will be other options by that point. And if not, I will take on the task of feeding and releasing the poor beasts." She nods once more, resolute. "The lives of natural creatures are precious."
After saying her piece, Chantrea re-wraps the rations and then slings her pack onto her back once more, holding the shoulder straps in a clear stance of readiness.

Oh pfft. . the goblin. . he had 1 hp left and was prone :) That was clean :)
I will assume the roll is for checking out the entrance of the cave?

Lowblo returns to share what he's seen with the rest of the group.
"We should free the beasts," Chantrea says when Lowblo is finished relaying the information about the cave. "They will suffer needlessly if they remain chained. Although, it would be best to feed them first, lest they attack. I have some rations...." She slides her pack from her back and begins to rummage.
Lowblo eyes Chantrea with thinly veiled skepticism, "Me not get anywhere near fangy monsters. Lowblo make short snack."
Lowblo nods fervently and points at Ruvaar, "What he says"
(Shane was their room to move around the beasts without them reaching us?)
They were chained down in the room. The are not able to reach the edges of the room or hallway. . fairly short chains.
The goblin starts moving back towards the cave, "me look for traps, you stay back." A wave of his hand includes the whole group.

I'll update the map tomorrow likely to show this.
Once again Lowblo returns to the group to report what he's found.
Assuming we are going ahead with the plan to feed the wolves. . who wants to do it ? :)
Ruvaar supports the plan to feed the wolves. Upon hearing Lowblo's report he says,
"Good, no traps. Chantrea, did you find those rations you were looking for?"
Ruvaar ponders this plan for a moment. Then, looking to the dead goblins he says:
"We've some perfectly good meat right here. We can feed them the dead Goblin carcasses."
Nelly lifts one dark red eyebrow in a high, questioning arch. One of the first things her papa taught her was to never eat goblin. 'Worse than raccoons' he said. 'Worse than dire raccoons.' Lowblo shrugs not caring one way or the other, "I go scout more. You worry about nasty goblin eating wolves."
