Leann has her eyes on the new glass figures. She leaves the others to deal with the thing in the construct. (Anything special about the crystal blade she picked up?)
The blade is chipped along the edge (it shatters if an attack with it rolls a natural one).
The undead priest gestures to the shimmering pearlescent thread connecting the crown she wears to the apparatus. "Cut!" she yells in the same screaming voice, followed by "Gold!" and "Power!" in two more very excited voices and a shocked female voice crying "..offering!"
(To move this along, I'll just let you know up front that Astral cords can only be cut with Astral silver implements, like a Githyanki Greater Silver Sword. That said, the crown can be removed easily enough with no tools or skills needed)
OOC: I'm waiting on you guys to do something. You can:
A. Free her
B. Kill her (double-kill? undead)
C. Leave her there and fight 15 more glass statues ...
D. I guess try to escape via moonpool with the vehicle. It's considerably faster than the statues are.
Side note: there is more information in the book, which is probably easier to understand than Kenku-talk, but it's in gnomish. Huarache (as far as I know) is the only one who reads Gnomish, but he's been busy building light sabers and catching a long rest. (which everyone should have received if you didn't update your sheet to reflect that).
** I didn't think of it before, but if anyone has tongues or some ability that allows them read languages, you just have to be able to read Gnomish for an hour and I can say you read the journal and know what's up
Hondo starts heading towards the vehicle and says, "Even though they are weak, I don't think we can survive this many ooze-folk. I think we should leave."
Huarache looks around and will try to shove everything that would be helpful for the sun blades, as well as various journals or other interesting-looking things, into his bag before he gets into the apparatus. "I think we can hold off these ooze-folk; they don't seem to be able to take a hit, but I just want some of this in case I'm wrong about their strength and we need to get out of here quickly. Hold on," he says as he pulls out his gun again. He looks down the sights at an ooze-folk. "Not sure whether I can hit them from here; my gun isn't terribly precise. And are we going to mercy-kill that poor Kenku inside the kraken? Or do we want more information from her?"
OOC: How high up from us are the ooze-folk? 60 feet or less?
“The air in the apparatus only lasts an hour, we’re not going to get very far. Might be more crystal people out there, too. “ Omiy says, blade points at the kenku, the tip dangerously close to her rotting neck as she flops around all batty. “I don’t care we leave or stay; but I vote to chop off her head. “
Ooc: the building the statues woke up to protect might be a viable destination, one you certainly have enough air for. My concern is whether you'll get it in the moon pool before they all get a hit in. Though it is built like a tank, in terms of hp.
Still waiting on a choice. One person can d3cjde to do something, but change of venue requires majority.
Leann glances at the undead and nods. "It must be put out of its misery..." She agrees. Reaching inside she removes the thing from around the undead creature's head.
As Leann removes the crown, all the crystal statues cease moving. Some, off-balance, collapse to the ground mid-stride. Lights still flickering on the armatures and on the disabled tentacles go dim.
“Huh, I knew she was controlling the glass statues. What else could death puppets mean? So long, now. ” Omiy comments, before she wields her sword and swings down, slicing the kenku’s throat.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Since he Nemean Lioned the kraken, Huarache will help Sigurd look for salvagable stuff from the Kraken (Investigation 15) as he replies to Hondo, "I imagine we work on those Sun Blades. I believe a lense was broken, but I might be able to fix that. On that note, I want to look at this thing's eyes. I think the lenses may be repairable, and I never say no to a well-made lense. Come to think of it," he trails off. He pulls out his spyglass and starts looking around for heat signatures.
OOC: For those who just joined the party in Daoine Gloine, Huarache took a spyglass from some hags on a beach, and he made it into an infrared telescope.
"That's rad. Can you make me one of those too?" Omiy says appreciatively as she leans over and checks out the spyglass Huarache’s holding.
“Yeah, I want to figure out how to drive this thing too…” Omiy removes the kenku’s dead body and cast it aside, with a thud it fell onto the ground, before she curiously examines the crown and sticks her own head under it.

"Spyglasses aren't cheap, but if you can find one, I'll gladly replicate this one," replies Huarache as he continues to sweep the area. When she says that second thing, Huarache will suddenly turn and try to grab her to make sure she doesn't put her head in that crown (Athletics check to grapple: 2).
“Mmm?” Omiy feels a gentle tug at her arm as she is about to put on the crown, she pauses a second before pokes her head out to see what’s going on, “I just wanna see if I can control those glass folks.”
"Before you do that, you might want to consider that the undead thing there did not seem to 'want' to be where it was." Leann points out. "The crown might have control over you once you put it on..."
“True...” Omiy trails off as she pulls the crown off her head, and inspects it closely. “Maybe we can reverse-engineer this thing and try to, send signals back. “

Sigurd looks at the undead Kenku with a sorrowful expression, "We can't let this wretched creature suffer. I'm with Omiy, end her pain."
I’m with the other two

As Leann removes the crown, all the crystal statues cease moving. Some, off-balance, collapse to the ground mid-stride. Lights still flickering on the armatures and on the disabled tentacles go dim.
"Well that was a good side affect." Leann says as she looks at the fallen glass figures.

Is there anything salvageable from the clockwork kraken?
Investigation: 4
“Well, that’s was... unexpected.” Hondo climbs out of the vehicle. “So, what do we do now?”

EDIT: That was pitiful.

Sigurd, looks over the dead kenku sadly,
"Jeg beklager kjaere, hvil deg na. Ga I fred, sorg sjel."
He pull a tarp over her body and rejoins the group.
