"Shaman say: 'Keep theives out, get meat.' I say 'Chase theieves away and bigger monsters will come.' Wise shaman replies, 'Good! Let them come. More meat!"
Gravity lifts the silver skull upwards and tosses it towards Seodra, then instructs her by saying: "Hold it tight, and follow me. We need to locate Thesselar and persuade him to let us go."
Seodra ran deeper into the dungeon. She actually went to the next room south, where the sculptors were being held. To get to her, you'd have to jump back in the hole, I think.
(@DM, Gravity will leap into the hole and follow Seodra to maintain bond created from the spell Warding Bond. The plan is to create an influential position by bargaining with the prime minister even if the monarch is dissatisfied. Edit: See post 5304.)
Gravity follows Seodra, dodging the render, currently engaging the oversized Samogri. In the room to the south, Gravity finds Seodra standing in the cramped dormitory, filled with bunks and simple furnishings for the fifteen sculptors originally living in the temple. Today, only five remain.
"Hey, get up, through the next room to your freedom." They seem reluctant, quiet, contemplative. One stands, walks up to three gemsmith and asks, desperately, "which way?"
The archon? He was up rip with Tetrevess and Gravity. The lizardfolk render guard who got away called him over from down the hall, and is currently in the gemsmiths chambers, fighting / debating Sam, who is now Large (custom race). The ravager archon is still up on the surface with Tetrevess, Gravity having jumped back into the hole to follow Seodra, who slipped past the occupied reptilian guard.
"Follow this route and take a left turn. A hard one. You'll find a cell with a hole in the ceiling"- Gravity sends detailed instructions to lead the sculptors to their freedom and possibly to their doom if the Archon has been seeing red.
After ensuring the possibility of a practical joke, she will casually sit down and request Seodra to place the silver skull on the bunk bed. She has been pulling out an antique piece of parchment while trying to read the text scribed on it and starting small talk with the woman.
"Moghaddam is dead, Seodra. Thesselar is responsible for his demise...uh...indirectly but still he recruited us."
Seodra slaps Gravity across the face. "How dare you defile my masterpiece!" Rubbing the glyph with her thumb, she sighs "I thinkni can fix it. Let's get back to the Tsmple and give it to Master. I'm sure he's upset if the architect is gone. If I csn fix this before he sees it, I'm sure he'll be thrilled." She trus to leave, chasing the more hesitant sculptors from the dormitory before passing through the door herself. Seeing the guard clash with what looks like a small tyrannosaurus, they decide she must have meant the next left and continue past the web Steen hallway, sticking to the left as they go. (This will pit them in the high priest's chambers, which appear to be a dead end, but actually allow access to the lake via the fireplace). "Pssst!" Seodra calls to them in a loud whisper, "I think she meant this way" she points toward the dueling lizards. They look back confused, unmoving.
(I really want you guys to get out if this, because it's cumbersome. Help me expedite this. Im just going to remind you there is a guide who can teleport and thst yiu e actuslly achieved your objecrives and there are mkre monsters deeper in the dungeon, waiting to be found. That's all. I think Tetrevess is still up. Even if I'm wrong, he is)
(Tetrevess is badly hurt, low on spells, and apparently singlehandedly facing this archon.- he is 120’ away from the archon if it matters. (Thunder step plus 1 round of movement) And he’s hoping the archon will go get that silver skull!

Tetrevess is happy the archon Is gone, although unclear if it returned to its home plane or teleported away. He focuses his concentration on his manifest mind down in the temple, and casts at the render through the mind..
He casts dragons breath (cold) on the render
17 dc 19 save dex for half
wow a 7 on a 4d6 damage? Pretty low odds for that!
The invisible archon hits the ground with a thud. (He used his reaction to cast invisibility on himself, a held action triggered by being attacked (as it happens, with a fireball). I said he was stunned, he just looked like it.
He casts planar ally speaking directly to Moloch "Lord Moloch. Send to me a hellwasp to halt these theives. I have them, but they seek to take your blessings from the temple let us finish this now."
"Shaman say: 'Keep theives out, get meat.' I say 'Chase theieves away and bigger monsters will come.' Wise shaman replies, 'Good! Let them come. More meat!"
The render leaps at Sam slashing and biting

Gravity can react.
(I am sorry I’m not following- what happened to the giant we were fighting? )

Tetrevess blasts the Archon with a fireball (4th level) doing bludgeoning damage:
DC19 dex save or 34 damage
he calls out to the guide- “need an escape from this! And quickly!”. He then retreats 30’ further from the archon.
(Tetrevess is badly hurt, low on spells, and apparently singlehandedly facing this archon.- he is 120’ away from the archon if it matters. (Thunder step plus 1 round of movement) And he’s hoping the archon will go get that silver skull!
The archon is stunned. Players are up again.
Tetrevess casts fireball again, bludgeoning
damage as that seemed to work, 4th level.
30 damage, DC 19 reflex for half.
he then retreats another 30’.
As the fireball clears, the spot where the archon stood is empty. A moment passes. Nothing but the wind.
Below, the render still battles Samogri. (@Legion4, you're up)

(Damage roll was a 7 at first. Not sure why it rolled again. Maybe my comment t embarrassed the algorithm)
The render falls to the ground, unmoving.

A hellwasp appears.
