Dorian sees a faint orange glow around Yaren's new lantern, coinciding with the conjuration school of magic to which it is aligned. The arrows, spyglass and goblin mask are mundane.
Ctenmiir exits the boat before it folds into small box and shudders, "Wh-o-o-a-aaaahhh! I hate the water!" After a moment of 'Hmm's and 'Haw's, he gasps "What in the Nice Hells are we doing here? There are hags about these coves! You'd best get a torch lit under ye!"
As they enter the tiny hut one by one or in pairs, the party leaves Ctenmiir outside. None of them mention what just transpired on the shore.
Everyone take a long rest. If anybody has any other business before the next day, take care of it at your leisure.
Huarache will try to fiddle with the spyglass with some tinker's tools to see if he can elicit some magical properties other than those described by the Magical Tinkering feature.
Dorian would cast Identify on the lantern as well, just to be sure of all its properties. "We should probably look over the probable area we'll cover tomorrow, see what Ctenmiir knows about the area. Further, I feel we might have dealt with that situation better if I had Detect Magic prepared instead of having to cast it ritually from my spellbook. Would you prefer I prepare it tomorrow, or that we take our time in approaching any creatures we encounter? I am limited in how many spells I can prepare in a day," he reminds them.
Leann has no feedback on what spells the other spellcasters prepare. She trusts them to know what they can do and to use their skills as they see best. She would take a long rest, then be ready to move onward with the others.
As the other characters rest, Yaren stays up with the lantern. By this poi t much of the party had made up their mj ds about his frequent conversations with ghosts and how much of it is in his head. Throughout the night, you hear him muttering if your a light sleeper, something about "another timeline" and regretful sons of "I failed you."
In the morning, the lantern remains, but Yaren is nowhere to be found. Dorian's attempt to identify the lantern reveal only faint conjuration magic, but in response to the spell, the glowing whirl within lights up for Dorian. It is apparent at once, that Yaren is within the lantern. It's also fairly clear, that the entity within the glass is a ghost. Efforts to communicate seems fruitless, as he just swirls around in there, but you get the sense ghost-Yaren would still like to help the party from within the ghost lantern
Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement)
A restless spirit is trapped inside this lantern. While holding the lantern, you can command the spirit as a bonus action to shed bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet.
While holding the lantern, you can use an action to order the spirit to leave the lantern and duplicate the effect of the mage hand spell. The spirit returns to the lantern when the spell ends.
If you fall unconscious within 10 feet of the lantern, the spirit emerges from it, magically stabilizes you with a touch, and then quickly returns to the lantern.
The spirit is bound to the lantern and can’t be harmed, turned, or raised from the dead. Casting a dispel evil and good spell on the lantern releases the spirit to the afterlife and renders the lantern nonmagical.
"Well, Yaren, we would be happy for you to carry on with us however you please, but when you feel your task is accomplished, we will happily release you so you can be at peace." Dorian says.

You begin your ascent over the sky lizard mountains, some of the party are already familiar with the range to some extent, and Ctenmiir assures the party follows the quickest route. On the third day of travel, you come across the scattered bones of a dwarf, torn to pieces before being devoured.

Assuming someone checks the body, you'll find a stoppered bottle of serpent venom (injury) and an ivory smoking pipe worth 25gp.
"No offense, Yaren, but is nobody else worried by that?" asks Huarache about the lantern. "He vanished into the lantern, and he's a ghost now. How do we know when his "task is accomplished? Yaren, are you okay in there?"

Someone with an aptitude for wisdom might conclude that he's... Fine, but like all ghosts he had unfinished business on this plane.

As you make it over the Northern peak of the sky lizard mountains, you descend once more into lush jungle. On the leeward side of the mountain with Westerly prevailing coastal winds, this area has some rare fauna found few other places in Chult. You may wish to roll a Nature or survival check in this niche biome.
He will do the same for Echo. 10 HP.

Leann comes to as the healing is done. She thanks the one who did the healing, then would join the others in the hut.

Huarache offers to keep Detect Magic prepared in unspecified language because I'm on my phone and can't do the burnt orange bold thing.

I will extend a spell slot to see if we got anything else following us

Try rotating your phone sideways to show the tools at the top.
Dorian will accept Huarache's offer. "Of course, where we have the time, I'm happy to cast it as a ritual to retain spell slots."

Anyone with a +4 bonus on Nature or Medicine skill and familiarity with Chult would determine that a hunting pack of velociraptors did the dwarf in.
Leann hikes along with the others. On spotting the body she keeps a lookout as the others move in to check the body.

Huarache, then, recognizes the effects of a velociraptor attack and informs the party of his findings.
