As she clears a bit of area around her, Leann grabs up a +3 shield, a cloak of protection, and a ring of protection. She will wait to grab the armor until she has dealt with more of the enemies.

Seeing that he cannot leave the portal, Hondo turns around and runs back to the monks while yelling "LEEROY JENKINS!!" He swipes at the nearest monk with his Scimitar of Speed and then uses his bonus action to slash another, different monk.

Huarache brings up a shield and swipes at the monk who tried to grab him with his sun blade, casting branding smite as he does so; 11 and 22 to hit for 11 and 9 radiant damage, respectively. First one to hit deals an extra 7 radiant damage. I thought Echo was being held by the monks who got fireballed, but if not, then she's going to FER the nearest one with a 27 to hit for 8 force damage.
Omiy's fireballs blast everyone near the door to the place (ooc: I should have given dimensions, most of you probably would have been in the blast area. Lol)
Welp, I thought it's a frigging long hallway connected outside to a cliff... actually don't know why I thought that. Anyways, Omiy's going to try something else that doesn't blast away everyone in the room.
She kicks off the monk grabbing at her, grabs a horn of Valhalla. Since all different kinds are on the same shelf she's going to grab the iron one. As she blows on the horn, a solemn, penetrating sound echoes through the room, and 19berserkers appear beside her.
"Go go go," she shooes them towards the monks anxiously.
A phalanx of screaming warriors summoned by Omiy's horn appear and charge the monks pouring into the treasury. Screams and clangs fill the air as monks zap and berserkers swing great battleaxes and swords, the conflagration concluding as the last monk falls to the ground. many of the monks carry hooked polearms, a few have a strange attachment bolyed the the long handle: a thin metallic cylinder with a convex red jewel at the end, which some may suspect, though the chaos of the battle makes it less certain, was the source of a flash of blu light seen intermittently throughout the clash with the berserkers.
In all, 25 monks are dead on the ground. berserkers not being very cautious have been reduced to 6 (many having charged right out the door, falling off the platform a few steps later (others rush in out the door may have contributed to their inability to stop and go back. You would notice that none of the monks have faces, all having been flayed similar to the elder monk.
One bearded warrior summoned by the horn turns to Omiy, nods ad says, "What now?" an eager look in his eyes.

From the journal, here is some detail about how the baubles work with the AoK: "the apparatus’s biomechanical umbilicus (an atropal’s augmented umbilical cord) can be used to connect with the baubles within the ooze. Doing so opens a magical portal within the apparatus that allows characters to enter the extradimensional space contained within a bauble."
When the vehicle is parked with the hatch open, the portal apparently appears in the space occupied by the bauble instead. this offers you the chance to flee in the apparatus.
“Woo-hoo-!” Omiy cheers with excitement as the fight carries on with frenzy of the Viking warriors, until all the monks are slain on the floor. She gathers some steins around and starts pouring everyone beer from the alchemy jug.
“Thanks for the help, how’s heaven for y’all, by the way?” She says cheerfully, as she pours a cup of beer for herself, “and could you guys guard the door, make sure no one comes in?”
Sigurd, seeing all the chaos and warriors appear out of nowhere, is torn as to what to do and what is happening! He turns to Sam, "Is there any way to bring them back!? How does this contraption work?"
(OOC: is it possible to poke your head through the portal without stepping all the way through?)
As the enemies are vanquished Leann would put on a set of +3 full plate armor, then move to where the portal should be. She would try to walk through the space, and feel around to see if it is there, just invisible.
"I'm not sure how it works," says Shutorn in reply to Sigurd's questions, "but it looks like there's another one in there, so if we bring these baubles with us, we should be able to continue on our way by activating another portal."
Shutorn then loads the remaining baubles (not the one currently activated) into his backpack and steps through the portal.
Actually, here is a list of the baubles, just tell me what you want to do.
1 A royal orb held by a seated king-like figure 2 Delicious-looking fruit being sold in a market 3 An ornate diadem worn by a great lady of court 4 An egg held in the talons of a statue of a large bird 5 The head of a mace held by a gladiator in an arena 6 A ball in a children’s playground 7 One of the eyes in a statue of a devil 8 The lens of a telescope being looked through by an astronomer 9 A jewel spilling from a sack carried by a fleeing thief 10 The centerpiece in a complex mechanical clock in a central square 11 The eye of a squid set within an extensive aquarium 12 A crystal ball held by a statue of a medusa
Sticking your head through works, a solid object is unfolded into thus dimension, effectively being stretched to do so technically the portal is there, but its size on the quantum order relative to yourexpanded bodies. Also magic.
Sigurd and Sam grab the gear, and the baubles; Ctenmiir follows. Nnowyou have a new AoK plus magic items galore. What's next?
So, just a clarification: we can just grab whatever magic items we want? It's there? Because if so, Huarache will go on a "shopping" spree, and I think we can get back using a candle of invocation.
“Let’s grab all the stuff we need then. “ Omiy says, hugging her new vorpal sword, and tosses a bag of holding on the ground. “I think we should look for anything left by Kwalish here, and Hondo, didn’t you say you were kidnapped by the monks? What happened? Were there any more prisoners like you?”
Ctenmiir sees the chaos and notes the warriors Omiy has drafted. "This Kwalish fellow has certainly led us someplace better than an ooze pit." He notes, then looking at the flayed face of the elder monk, adds: "Perhaps it's best not to stay too long, though."
Ooc: I think Kwalish might be able to prevent it from opening a gate to this place... You're in a pocket dimension. It mirrors a place Kwalish knew. I'm running this part right out of the book. I was reluctant, but decided it had value so I left it untouched. Magic items from the vault will not travel with you when you leave here. {Sorry} you might however, use the time you have with them to study them, maybe transcribe a spell out something. There is a lot you can do with this boon. Also, this is a replica of a real piece in the prime material plane, known to Kwalish.

“No. I was the only one. I was on the hunt for my parents’ killers when I was tricked into going through a portal. I ended up here where the monks enslaved me, tried to convert me to their freak cult.” He says as he kicks one of the monks bodies.
Well since these items don't matter, Huarache will find a candle of invocation and use it to cast Gate and return to the workshop with his arms full of stuff, which I guess disappears as he goes back through.

I don’t know if gate will work based on what’s been said here. If the monastery is based on a real place we can maybe find it on the other side?
If we stay a little longer Huarache can finish the tome of clear thought that he wanted, or anyone else who wants to read a book or something. Omiy’s probably going to give up half way though.
