"I was just trying to decide our cover story. Were we part of the raid on the town, or are we showing up after the fact looking for a job? Who is coming with me, and do we need to use the treasure as part of our cover?" asks the mystical martial artist.

Looks at Kano, “Aye I hear you. Do we wish to split up then? I’ll accompany you, Sir Ninja. My kind have a reputation for such mayhem.” Tengar grins. “But maybe the treasure stays out of it, it may raise suspicions. The camp is likely to be patrolled. What say all of you? There is no easy answers here.”
”Right, We are mercenaries who heard about the sacking of Greenest and are looking for a powerful army to join who pays well and gives the opportunity for some real action. Who is going with me—just Tengar?” asks Kano. “I can try to talk my way into finding more about our missing scholar, but someone good at stealth and infiltration might be good if we need to plan how to rescue her,” he adds.

"Ooh, then I can be a proper dog, and not some mangy mongrel mutt! I will watch your backs, and growl menacingly if anyone gets too close!" Pimster says with a big smile.
(The plan is when they get to the edge of the camp area, before they can be seen, Pim will cast guidance on Kano, then using Wild Shape to transform into a mastiff.)
Tengar will use some cloth to wrap around his head and one of his eyes. And roll around in the mud and dirt a bit. He chirps to the bird, plucking off a few pieces of ration. “Here little one. Now, behave when we get near the camp, no eyeballs yet.” Turning to Kano and Karib, he says, “I am ready. I’ll let you do the talking. If you need to show your strength, I’ll play the part.” He winks, “Just no lighting, eh?” He laughs deeply. “And nothing that’ll scar - I value my beauty. And watch out for these,” he taps his tusks lightly.
Karib stares at the orc. Gond help me. The Orc's vain? His...teeth? A smile creeps onto his face and he bursts into laughter. "Show me a mirror, and I will show you the great wheel! Hah!" He glances around his companions, "... I never truly understood that until now." He stares off into the distance, the smile broad and his face serene.
After a time he comes back to himself, nods at Tengar then at the bloodied smears on his shield. "Life's one true constant is vanity. Even the gods are vain!"

"Good luck," Burra quips to the group clustered beneath. "I will be among the trees, should anything turn for the worse. I may attempt to search the camp from a bird's eye view for our prisoner." He unfolds his wings and tests the air before Burra kicks from the ground and swiftly disappears behind any rocky outcropping nestled in the plateau the camp lies on. Secretly, Burra is thankful for the opportunity not to speak directly with the cultists - but Tengar's stoic demeanor inspired Burra to keep the trepidation he normally felt to himself.
As such, when Burra feels sufficiently hidden from both the cultists and party, Burra heaves a few panicked breaths and clutches the talisman on his chest in hope the Traveler would soften the sounds of Burra's flight. Burra seeks to remain unseen by clinging to the mentioned rocky cliffs from above, peering down into the camp with keen, owl-like eyes in search of the woman the party is searching for. If she cannot be seen, Burra will attempt to tally the amount of cultists and obtain a sense of who and where the superiors are.

Kano, Tengar, Karibwith Dog-Pim advance towards the beginning of the slope; the entrance to the encampment. The watchtower is lit and manned, at is base you notice steady shelter for carriages and beasts, and you see a few other groups making their way to the encampment carrying loads. But not of spoils from the town, large game from the surrounding lands; pheasant, deer and even a pair with a sizable boar.
Starting on the slope, the four of you do not experience anyone challenge who you are; the group of guards in the tower are talking to one another, the hunters returning to do not give another glance as you all approach. You are treated with the smell of cooking foods and the sound buzzing chatter, bragging laughter and cheers of merriment. You all see the cliffs work as an excellent natural defence around the camp, they quickly rise well over 100 ft. The brush which most probably was all over before it was cleared for a site, still stands in between some of the group of tents, grown well over some of your heads at 6 ft. at its highest and about 4 ft. tall at its shortest growth.
The people are mixing together, lacking any sort of cultist uniform. However, it is quick to identify a few mercenary bands that have been hired to work under the cult; while there is a lot of casual intermingling, you can see the bands keep to their own signified tents when things quieten. (Area 1)
MAP:
Burra Burrawould notice all of the above, but also notice lots of individuals and small groups of pairs or threes are less chattering and doing their business in the tents in the middle (Area 2) and kobolds are kept separate in the shadows of the cliff (Area 3)
Karib whistles, "Quite an operation. You did well suggesting this place." He slaps Kano on the back, "Do you think we should introduce ourselves, or just find a place to make camp? Maybe your dog could sniff out a good spot..."
”Well, we’ve got to find someone in charge if we want to get paid. Let’s see who’s running this place,” replies Kano looking around for any obvious command tents or structures.

In-between the quiet bustle of this place, past the accommodation for all the hired folk you make out the camp goes on further down the quickly descending slope. You do catch sight of the top of a more grandiose tent set up much further down the slope. Seems a bit quieter down there as well.
A large, muscular mastiff walks by Kano's side, its massive head moving about to snuffle the scents and look at the area. He barks a few times at the sight of other dogs, just to make sure the people around hear him!
The big half-orc will keep an eye out for any of his kin but try to keep his eye lowered, if possible. He'll smirk and laugh at anything smaller than him that looks at him too long. He'll look around and see something to lug and carry - a crate, a deer, tools - anything that he'll be able to carry around and look like he's doing something other than watching and scouting.

Karib will follow his boss keeping a wary eye on those nearby like a dutiful body guard. As he does so, he also looks for signs or sounds of the prisoner they seek.

Striding confidently down the slope like he owns the place, Kano makes for the larger tent area with his entourage. If there is anyone who takes an interest in them as he walks, he will try to engage them in conversation to get the down-low on the camp situation.

Love God. Love Others. Any Questions?
If Kano is happy with Karib's disguise, and everyone else seems to agree, then Karib will go with them into the camp.
OOC: Yes for Kano. He is going to pose as a mercenary who heard about the raid on the town and is bringing in some muscle to join the cultist army.
