Rose stepped up to Grimm's side. "We could. If he betrays us we can simply cut him down at that time."

You can see that Grundy was lying when he said that he was "forced" into service by Gideon. Also, you can tell that he has an intention of betraying you.

"Something about the look in your eyes... I think you'll go running back to your master to let him know we're on the loose. We can't have that," Grimm flatly states while locking eyes with Grundy.

She then suggests, "I say we leave him here bound and gagged and tied to the bed to muffle any sounds."

Rose coughed. "I could do that, we of Sune's faith know much about gagging and tying people to furniture. Just saying."

Looking at Rose with a raised eyebrow, Grimm says, "Well then, please proceed." 

No roll required. He was already bound. All you need to do is attach him to the bed.

Rose leading the way, with Grimm a helping hand, we go ahead and tie him to the bed and gag his mouth with some torn bed sheets and then wrap some more circling about his head to cover his mouth - not tight enough to cause him to choke or too much discomfort, but enough to keep him muffled and quiet.  On one of the scraps placed into Grundy's mouth, Grimm wrote Grundy's name, whispering in his ear, "Just in case you get lost in your mortal toil, here's something so that you don't get too lost in the thereafter."

Then, to the group, "Well, seems we may have people to rescue, an "the Offspring" to deal with, or perhaps save, a ghost that needs to find its way back to Kelemvor, and a master of the house that needs to be 'convinced' to let us all free of this demi-plane. Damn swamp - who in the hells would create a swamp for a demi-plane anyways....  Well, shall we get to exploring the manor?  After, that is, we search Grundy and these thugs he brought for anything that could be of use."

Grundy carries a set of keys and 10ep.

"Ah. Keys," Grimm states to the group, then continuing, "and a few electrum pieces, too!" She places two pieces in her pouch and throws the rest on the bed. "I have what I need, you all can split the rest as you see fit."

With that she quietly noisily {STEALTH: 2 } goes to the door, peeks out looking both ways  {PERCEPTION: 18 } then she turns around to her friends, "Shall we? We might have people in trouble and we need to "convince" Master Gideon to set us free... and verify that he's the reason why people have been disappearing along the Long Road - although I feel sure that he is." She then walks out of the room.

Rose shrugged, snagged a pair of electrum pieces herself and followed Grimm. "Aye, let's find out the whats and the whys. I don't like this one bit, who knows how many others have suffered the same fate."

The paladin's eyes widened as she realized she was still in her thin night dress. "Godsdamnit! Hang on a moment." She darted back into the room and re-dressed back in her chainmail armour as quickly as she could.

Grimm says, with a smirk,  to Rose as she passes her in the hallway, "This is why you should sleep in your armor when in strange homes... I'll help you with it so we can save some time."

The second floor consists only of the guest rooms, so the first floor is your only option for exploring.

"It seems that there are only guest rooms, up here - can one of you see if there's some hidden panel or something. I'm not quite that good at stuff like that and I just want to make sure we check everything before heading down stairs..." Grimm says.

Rose nodded. "Neither am I, but I'll help as best I can."

"Well, then let's take a look around before heading down, although I'd prefer if someone more skilled than us in investigating led the search for secret doors, traps and other buggery."

No secret doors are to be found.

"Aight then.... Seems all clear. Shall we go down stairs, Rose? As quiet as two armored up warriors can be?"
