"I want to wrestle Magnus!" Ever since Grimm had said that Boomer couldn't wrestle, he had been pouting. He goes and lays down on the nearest bed and places Pointy next to him, still a little wary about what Grimm said about keeping his ax close. He looks at Grimm. "Is friend Gideon bad?"
Nevets confused will take his wine skin and pour some out seeing if its still wine.
Nevets: "Still looks like wine to me. Is there any way you can do to prove this or at least help me get pass this illusion? You see, I'm a little bit of a social drinker and I'd prefer not to be drink marsh water like you have been suggesting it is."
"I am not sure yet, Boomer," Grimm replies, "but I know he lied to us - even if no one else sees it yet. And his man, Grundy, was covering for him. I don't trust him and I don't trust this situation. Too many strange things going on. And - he knew our names, yet I am sure we did not introduce ourselves... something is... awry."
"Rose, you seemed to have recognized the name the Chelimbar Marshes - how many leagues are we from where we started?" Grimm asks.
Torold, fortunately, hadn't partaken of the food or wine. Though he kept quiet throughout the dinner, that didn't mean he was silenced inside. His suspicions grew exponentially as the proprietor of the manor knew his 'guests'' names. Grimm finding out that the food and drink was not as they appeared was fuel to the fire.
"Courteous as they may be, there was some intent to this meal. This meeting was not coincidence. Your little show almost scared something out of the little one. Perhaps you can try something a little more tomorrow? Also, I believe we should keep watch. I don't want that little butler slipping a nightcap down my throat as I sleep."
"Although I've never set up a watch within a home, Torbold has the right idea... I'd be amenable to setting up watches throughout the night. Those wounded by the hound outside should probably rest first," Grimm responds nodding along with Torbold, "so, the question is - how are we splitting the party?"
Rose frowned. "At least a tenday on horseback, I'd say. The Long Road starts at Waterdeep and goes north and a little east to Mirabar, while the Marsh is just to the west of the Greycloak Hills which are a fair way east and a little south of Waterdeep. The hills are right up against the Anauroch desert, soooo depending on when we were taken we could be a fair way away from where we are meant to be.
As for the issue of the food and drink, by the grace of my Goddess I can purify our food and drink - not to mention detect poison and disease - so if that becomes necessary I can try to cast those spell-prayers without our hosts noticing." She sighed for a moment and added "By Sune's comely bust, I hope the bathwater isn't equally as noxious. I'm all sweaty and need a bath."
“Not good, not good at all. Still, I think we agree we need to stay, but we need to stay alert. I heard something at the table, did you? He mentioned others before, and we came this was to find out why people before us went missing. 2 and 2 is 4, I definitely think we need to stay the night and see what is going on. 3 room, perfect number for us......just like the food and the names......how did he know?” Audin ponders this a moment. “No matter, a watch for sure. Pairs can work the night, the other 4 lets take adjacent rooms, maybe even worth setting the unused beds to look like someone is asleep under the covers. If no one minds I am still recovering from that beat outside, if I can rest first? Wake me for the middle watch though, I have some ability to pass unnoticed and may be able to see something. Grimm, do you wish to watch first?”
”Oh,” as almost an afterthought, “The little aid of his? If we get him aside, let me talk to him. I can be very very persuasive when I think someone is hiding something.” Audin grins at this statement, as if its a private joke.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Sure, I wouldn't mind taking first watch," replies Grimm; then, continuing, "Who else will stand with me? I am feeling a little distracted by all of this and could use a second set of eyes and ears."

Taking watch, you notice nothing for a while. But you can hear many footsteps below. Then, all is quiet. Three hours later, you hear the sound of footsteps on the creaking stairs. Then, you hear Grundy's voice whisper, "We'll get pour "guests" from this room first."

Devious serpent folk devoid of compassion, yuan-ti manipulate other creatures by arousing their doubts, evoking their fears, and elevating and crushing their hopes. From remote temples in jungles, swamps, and deserts, the yuan-ti plot to supplant and dominate all other races and to make themselves gods.
Hearing Grundy's voice and the not so veiled threat, she whispers to Nevet, "Go wake Boomer and whomever else is in the room with him... quickly and quietly." She then opens the door as quietly as she can to hide in the door frame hoping to get the drop on Grundy and whomever he has with him. She begins preparing Chill Touch but will hold it until she sees an obvious threat (excluding Grundy as she does not consider him a threat).

Yes. The half-orc thugs aren't exactly the quiet type.
The one thug is in each room now (everyone is awake). The fourth thug and Grundy are in the hallway outside the rooms. Anyone who hasn't rolled initiative yet should do so now.
