(Alanis would, if in anyway possible, get a message to Uldran, given the somewhat problematic circumstances at the very least informing him that they have a grave situation to deal with and to be very, very careful and to trust sparingly.
Other than that, she would try to sneak a glance at Eldron’s ring. No touching or anything, mind you, just wondering if it shows a coat of arms or something)
Alanis you send a message back to Uldran via the inn keeper. As you follow Eldron roll for perception to see if you manage to get a glimpse of that ring.
You all leave the inn and follow the High Shield through the dark streets. Alanis, you catch several brief glances of his ring as all sneak from street to street. It is gold with a large red stone, but beyond that you make out no telling details.
Everyone roll for stealth as Eldron leads you south across the lower city.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Randrak doesn't say another word as they leave the inn and they begin to all follow the High Shield. Decides to keep the High Shield in his line of sight. It was only moments ago that High Shield suspected the group of betrayal, so he might not have their best intentions.

“The secret we should never let the gamemasters know is that they don't need any rules.” ― Gary Gygax
You all make your way across the lower city without being spotted. You pause several times as soldier and temple guard march past to support the siege at the palace. It is clear that all thought of guarding the docks from the pending invasion have been abandoned in the haste to win the civil war.
Randrak you keep a close eye on the High Shield and for now he seems true to his word. All be it that the trust he is showing you all is clearly given grudgingly.
You all come at last to a two story building constructed in the gnomish style. Reggarn and Alanis you would know this as the Red Lodge; a community hall of sorts for the local gnome populous. The High Shield leads you to the side of the building where he knocks sharply on a small red door with a familiar white star in its centre.
The High Shield looks back to you all with a frown, "What is wrong with you all?" he growls, but before an answer can be given the door swings open.
A small wizened gnome stands there. He is wearing an apron and carrying a small silver wand. "Well? What is it? What is it?" he squints up at some of you and across at others.
Randrak stops when he hears Alanis's words. He looks up at the white star and it feels familiar to him, but he cannot quite place where he has seen it. A lot has happened the last couple of days, and some of it was spent drunk. Then he remembers, Freak was afraid of the white star.

Randrak you vaguely remember that the dark Dwarves described by Grubb back at the monastery were wearing white stars, as were the advisers surrounding the High Shield the first time you met him. From what Hitticus told you all, he used to work for these Dwarves and they were into magic and pretty shady.
Reggarn you would know the white star to be a common symbol for some magic users and in religious circles it is know that it was once the symbol of the order of mages who corrupted the line of kings and forced the Temples to end the monarchy. It has lost much of that meaning over the years, yet the history of it remains.
"Well? What are you all waiting for?" Demands the gnome. Alanis, Mercwri and Grubb he then speaks to you all in gnomish.
"Well met and welcome friends. This is a Red Hall, a haven for all of our kin. I am Rubrit, keeper of the back door. Enter and be glad."

Alanis stares at the star with a progressively darkening expression.
“Of course.“
She hisses under her breath.

"What's that symbol?" Grub says out of curiosity and noticing Alanis's reaction he will put a hand over the dagger he has with him
Reggarn puts his mace in hand and stands a little closer to Grub and Alanis, ready to strike if needed.

(Grub are you currently disguised or no?)

(Assume disguised if not in private, I'll mark off the spell as Grub does not have a disgust kit yet)

Randrak give me an intelligence check
Reggarn give me a history check
The gnomes eyes suddenly widen as he recognises the high shield. His mouth hangs open for a brief moment before he swallows.
"M..my Lord, I mean you majesty? How have you escaped the siege... I.. I mean we..."
"No time for that Rubrit let us in before someone sees us." he does not wait for an answer as he barges in past the confused gnome.
