Will and Terrance are hanging from the same outcroping of broken road the other three are standing feet away from. Holly chuckles out loud and gestures at Hunter before going to the side and giving Terrance then Will a hand up. Terrance is a little tricky but she manages to heave him up.
The party needs to travel further as the head of the pyramid is barely visible above the thick canopy of trees.
OOC: Stealth moving forward or not? Stealth you move slower but less likely to alert predators no stealth you're making a racket and everything is going to notice you.

While Hunter unites the rope around his waist, he looks over to Holly.
”Is there a clock ticking on this test? Do we have a certain amount of time to finish, or can we try and move a little more slowly and quietly to avoid more surprises?”
He looks at Terrance’s chainmail armor.
”That’s if it’s even possible for T to move quietly in that.”
He reaches over and dusts off the dirt that got on the back of Will and Terrance while they scrambled over the embankment.

Milas pipes up "I think stealth will be best, doesn't matter how quick we go if we dont make it, and we've already seen this jungle isn't messing around" as he finishes that sentence he brings his crossbow up and slinks slightly off the trail into the undergrowth ( stealth 4 )
Hunter smiles as Milas crashes 'quietly' through the brush. He adjusts his pack on his shoulders.
"Well, that's decided. Quietly it is."
Then he follows after Milas through the jungle knowing he won't likely be any quieter, but at least at a slower pace he can avoid the noisiest of branches and leaves.
Will shrugs a bit sheepishly. "This is all a bit new to me. I can navigate my way through historical texts, or dealing with other cultures... but PE was never my strongest course."

Terrance grimaces as the request is made that they attempt to move forward silently again.
"I will do the best I can, but I make no promises. I was never the most graceful of bulls to walk through a china shop, and this chainmail only makes that situation worse. Honestly, if you want my opinion I saw we opt for speed instead of stealth, press forward quickly and we will be less likely to spend enough time in these blasted woods for something else to decide to bother us. But, I will follow what the group decides."
Awkwardly trying to move forward in a way that does not cause his chainmail to jingle (ultimately a vain attempt) Terrance presses on with the rest.
Stealth: 17
Somewhat surprisingly he is not the noisiest of the group...for the time being.
OOC: Hunter give me a stealth roll to see if we can get a party majority override of Milas 'stealth' LOL
"Timeline no but do you want to be here in the dark," Holly replies with a cocked eyebrow. "This is the longest I've ever taken to reach the temple and as I said those beasts were not here before," she reminds everyone.
Holly then slinks in the middle of the party while letting the heavily armed and armored take the lead. She's still taking notes on each of the party whether it's visible to them or not! The jungle is hot, oppressive, and close. Terrance, in his heavy armor, is starting to feel the strain.

"Well if we're in a hurry, shouldn't we just keep our eyes open and move quickly," he says as he snaps several twigs under his feet and smashes through the branches that Milas lets fly back at him.
Will winces at what passes for 'quietly' among his companions, and tries to stay near the middle of the group, as he's the least prepared, should more beasties pop out at them. He has some stones clutched in his left hand that he is rubbing together as they walk.

Hilarity ensues as the party continues the not so quiet trek through the thick growth that has overgrown the road. An hour passes and then another until finally the jungle reveals the base of the pyramid! The structure itself reclaimed by the jungle! It has several thick vines crawling up the steep steps and Holly approaches a tunnel in one side.
"Through here is where I've entered a half dozen times. Anyone want to scout ahead," Holly asks curiously. "Or we can all enter and hope for the best," she adds next looking anxiously at the party and then her watch!

"I'm happy to go ahead, but with the amount of noise I made getting here, I'm guessing I'm only sneaking in there if it's empty."
He looks back at the pyramid.
"Is this like one of those old school movies my grandfather liked? Indiana Jones? Big rolling balls and traps and stuff like that?" He asks then looks at the others. "A scouting report would be good, but I'm more the kind that reads the report then thumps heads where it tells me to thump heads."
"I am going to be completely honest. After the panthers I have no clue what the old man added. It seems just as much a trial for me as it is the group," Holly replies with a frown.

"Give me a moment, I can help with that, I think."
Will holds up a pebble in his left hand and softly speaks a few words, the pebble shaking a bit in his hand. He covers it with his other hand, still speaking to it and when he removes his hand, it is glowing a brilliant cyan.
He extends his hand and flicks the glowing pebble into the mouth of the tunnel, where it travels 60 feet from him before coming to a rest and illuminating a 40 foot radius.

"How are you doing that? Is it remote controlled?" asks, Hunter.
The extra light ahead will prevent them from going in unseen, but it also prevents anyone else from hiding in the shadows. He takes his great axe off his back, hefts it a few times and then nudges, Terrance.
"What do you say, big guy?" he asks. "You and me take the lead?"
He then starts forward scanning the ground, the walls, everywhere for threats.

Sword and shield at the ready, Terrance nods back in agreement. "Honestly, it seems like fun. And now that I know the 'Holodeck safety protocols' are on, I say let's dive on in."
He moves forward just slightly behind and to the side of Hunter, ready to provide him with aid and ensure he doesn't get attacked from behind.

Milas comes up a bit behind the group, having gotten caught in some sort of bramble bush "I hate this forest". he sees Terrance and Hunter go in, he brings his crossbow up to his shoulder and follows about 15 feet behind them, also scanning the tunnel for danger (Perception 7 ) but seems distracted, still pulling brambles and barbs off of his clothes, and out of his now matted hair
The tunnel ahead is narrow. The tunnel ahead of the light Will conjured seems to die away into the pitch black interior. The walls are smooth earth then suddenly stone lined. No one notices traps or anything other than the marks made by whomever or whatever made this tunnel! Leaning into the tunnel wall however Hunter can tell the tunnel was made by a what...not a who! This realization sinks in that whatever made this tunnel it's big, big enough that his tall burly frame can stand upright and put his arms out almost thier full length!!
OOC: Marching order, the tunnel is too narrow to walk shoulder to shoulder. Holly's in the dead middle of the line going in.

"Ah, yeah, remote controlled. Like a drone.", Will says with a shrug.
He's not too keen on being stuck at the back, but at least he has the party's light source. As they reach the glowing pebble, he picks it up, trying to hold it aloft, but it throws crazy shadows ahead of the party, being behind all of them, their bodies casting long shadows.
He finds a solution, calling forth a softly glowing hand that plucks the pebble from his hand and holds it aloft, trying to keep it above Holly to provide lighting from above for the group.
