"Have you tried any other doors?" Hunter calls down to Holly.

Having learned his lesson, he examines this new door for traps, hoping this might be an easier way inside.

Hunter can't tell if it's locked or trapped, it's a door similar to the other door.

What am I doing, Hunter thinks to himself. I might as well be looking at the controls behind this whole VR sim. 

He turns and makes his way back to Holly, Will and Milas. 

"The only way I can use my head to figure these doors out is if I use it to break the lock."

He looks down at the door that shocked him before.

"I could try and disarm the trap, but my know how there would be just jam a screwdriver in and hope it shorts out before I pass out."

He does heft his great axe and eye the lock.

"Holly, you said there's a lot going on here you haven't seen before. Maybe I should just use a bit of brute force so no one else gets zapped."

"If it...ah, doesn't go well, I can heal you."

Hunter's patience has run out on the door. 

"Let's hope it doesn't come to that."

He raises the great axe above his head and takes aim on the lock, takes two steps towards the door, hops into the air and swings down with all his strength.

Milas Finally catches up, "uhh, I know how to pick locks guys" he says, wincing as Hunter cleaves into the door.

Hunter breaks the lock and the door flies open at the center!

"Yeah, this place is nothing like it has been the last couple of months...Doc really out did himself," Holly explains wide-eyed not stopping Hunter from clobbering the door.

Milas shows up and replies as Holly chuckles. 

"Well next time you're our door guy," Holly says smirking. "Wait...," she then says touching her ear. Holly frowns. "Well just us four I'm afraid. Terrance bailed," she adds gesturing over her shoulder towards the looming magical darkness!

Hunter rolls forward, losing his balance as the door flies open, and brushes up against the electrified frame again, taking the jolt of electricity. His momentum carries him to the floor but not before his body gets fried again.

He kneels upwards, expecting to see smoke coming from this fingers. Despite the pain, he can't help but laugh.

"Nice timing, Milas."

He looks around the room they've just entered, hoping to get some feeling back in his arms. And hoping there won't be anything to fight right away.

"Damn, that hurt."

"Careful, Hunter! How you doing?"

Will turns to Holly. "You think Doctor Winslow is just trying to test us more? I hope it's not one of those things like in the movies where the program gained sentience and is secretly trying to find a way into the real world so it can take over the world and kill everyone."

"Yeah sorry that's on me, not a fan of the dark" Milas says with an embarrassed smile "but yeah, I kept locking myself out of the house and decided to learn how to pick locks". He also gazes around, crossbow at the ready.

"Well, good to know for next time... hopefully there aren't any more pockets of total darkness..."

The doors creak open and reveal a large antichamber that's lit with the same green-blue torches. Looking around thw party finds floor to ceiling murals and the flooring is a large coiled snake it brightly colored mosaic! Holly looks around frowning before discreetly offering Hunter a slim vial with bright red liquid inside.

"It's not going to do much but little help you stop smoking at least," Holly says with a smirk holding it out.

OOC: Hunter now as a potion of healing should he choose to use it.

Hunter almost lunges at the snake before he realizes it's just a mosaic. Maybe the door took more out of him than he thought.

"Thank you," he says to Holly as he accepts the vial, opening it and draining the liquid inside. Better to be ready for anything than to leave something in the tank and wish he'd made use of it he thinks.

"Tastes a little like Red Bull."

As he feels the warmth of the liquid spread through him, he continues into the room stopping in the center.

(OOC Uses the potion of healing: 5 )

The room being well lit already, Will doesn't light up a pebble, but does grip a few on his left hand and mutter to them quickly before transferring one to his right hand.

The antichamber has a 10ft ceiling and another door.

"Milas want to give this one a try," Holly asks gesturing at the closed double doors with a similar runic design on it. 

Holly then moves away studying the murals curiously.

Hunter moves into position near Milas in case something unpleasant comes at him when he defuses the trap and unlocks the door.

"Don't touch the metal bits, dude," he says to Milas. "Hurts like hell."

Will leaves the door to Milas, looking around to see if any of the murals or other decorations line up with what he's learned about ancient Earth cultures. 

"yeah I think I can give it a go." MIlas kneels down to get on level with the handles. "Hey, y'all reckon it's like Indiana Jones?? Maybe we get a rolling boulder". he lets out a light, nervous chuckle, then goes about unlocking the door, first checking to make sure doing so wouldn't activate anything. ( ooc 12 investigation to check for traps, and a 22 thieve's tools check to unlock the door)

OOC: Milas needs to roll a sleight of hand or a straight DEX modifier roll, whatever's higher, and that'll be his disarm trap roll before opening the door eh?

As Will studies the mural Holly gestures to a figure.

"These...these aren't even humans," Holly points out the snake like people in ALL the murals. "The settings have always been ancient human past not...whatever heck this is..." she trails off muttering to herself.

"Huh, you're right. I mean, you did say it seemed Dr. Winslow was mixing things up... but snake people? That's stuff out of mythology, right?"
