As the goblins flee, Milo steps back into the road, looking up and down the path. "I don't think there's any reason to pursue those creatures right now. They will most likely not leave the forest." he looks up at the cart, barely able to make out its silhouette. "I say we check out the cart, then move on to make camp."
The halfling then reluctantly glances as Lupe"But if you are keen on tracking them, I'm sure we can do it."
Shield and scimitar droop, as Donnar's arms go limp in disappointment. He did indeed end up missing all the action.
His eyes now go between Milo, the cart, and the direction the goblins ran off in.
"Fine, if thats what you think is best." He mutters as he sheathes his scimitar, but chooses to hang on to the shield. He had come to the conclusion that the halfling was very clever, and decided he would defer to him in times of planning and strategy.
Closer inspection of the cart reveals only sadness. The body on the ground, dead from arrows, was clearing an innocent victim. It's not possible to ascertain his business in traveling through the forest as all valuables, if there were any, have been taken. Empty canvas bags also offer no help. In his hand, a small picture frame is found containing a miniaturized portrait of a young woman with black hair and a white top of a blouse or a dress. Spouse, sibling, daughter, it's impossible to know.
The halfling takes the picture. Breaking the frame, he folds the picture and puts it in his bag. "If I find this woman, I will tell her of your fate." The druid says to the corpse. "Rest easy."
"The light is fading, we should get settled into the strange place, rather than dashing into even more darkness...?" Elrodin remarks, as he moves towards the cart with the others, staff supporting his weight, though not necessary.
Valor goes to retrieve his Javelin. he looks at it in disdain for it not hitting the enemy then puts it back into its quiver. "Goblins are not known for their bravery but, they are known for their numbers, and not pursuing them will only make it worse. This was a trap." Valor points at the cart and corpse. "to lure travelers so they can kill them and loot them and from what I understand about goblins, and do worse. We fail in protecting the next victims that will fall for this and we fail ourselves for they will return for us. We know their scheme and if they want to be able to use it again, they must kill us to keep it."
Valor looks for their tracks and sees if he is able to track these beast-men.

Milo and Lupe
Milo looks around, specifically in the direction the Goblins went. (perception: 12 ) "I'm sure Lupe can track their scent." He kneels beside a goblin corpse, beckoning for Lupe to sniff.
After Lupe has the scent, Milo takes him in the direction the goblins went. (Perception: 23 )
Lupe, locking onto the scent, and Milo enter leave the path and head deeper into the forest. Entering the same place the goblins had. The rest of the heroes follow as well. Once past the tree and first row of bushes, a small and narrow path is easily discerned. No doubt formed by regular back and forth foot traffic by the goblins. Staying low and carful not to brush up against the bushes and make noise the heroes press forward slowly. The path is followed for several minutes eventually passing through a small clearing before entering another set of bushes. While cautiously crossing the open space, sounds of goblin activities can be heard coming from the other side of the bushes. The heroes spread out an move up to the bushes, staying low and quiet to get a better view through them to see what's going on. Peaking through the bushes 4 goblins can be seen, two standing near a fire in the south and two standing near a fire in the north. A small cave can also been seen, but it's too dark out with the setting sun to see anything in side.

Valor, upon seeing the goblin guards and little to no reaction from his companions, and it being his statements that led them here, or so he feels, will take out 1 of his javelins and launch it at one of the goblins. Hit: 11 Damage: 4
After that, he will duck down behind the bushes for concealment and move as quiet as he can 10 ft. to the left and prepare to launch another javelin. Stealth: 9
Valor, moving into position behind the bushes to find a clear show with his javelin, throws it at Goblin #2, however, in doing so, has both alerted the goblins and revealed his position. Goblin #2 is stabbed by the javelin, right in the leg.
