Just as you loose you daggers, Lia, one of the snakes lashes out and bites your ankle 2Piercing damage, roll a Con Save (d20+Con Mod) less than 10 = 6 damage
The second also goes for you (Lia) but Monk-E manages to pierce it with his arrow just as it jumps at you for a bite. (OOC Sorry, missed ya, Monk-E)
The next two go for Haldos and miss their mark. The last goes for youIvo'liss but you see it coming and manage to swat it away with your foot.
There's still 5 snakes left
Finn: Standing at the ready, prepared to act, you see the snakes "swarm" your companions in a flurry of lashes
Finn begins a nonsensical story that about an old librarian going over her favorite political romance books. even his comrades possibly stifle a yawn as the spell makes its way to the snakes carried by his slow droning whisper
OOC: Finn will cast a sleep spell at a patch of snakes that haven't attacked yet.
Ivo'liss sees the snakes falling asleep, and pulls out his rapier and shortsword, attacking the snake at his feet (rapier 19 to hit for 8 damage ) then again with his short sword ( short sword 22 to hit doing 2 damage )

Lia nocks an arrow in her bow, waiting for Finn to cast his spell before firing. She'll aim at one of the snakes that's still awake, if there are any. She also backs up as far as she can.
Ivo'liss swings his rapier and barely misses the snake in front of him. Using the momentum of the first swing, he spins around and lands on one knee, sending a "back-hand" swing of his shortsword and cutting the snake almost in half but not quite making contact the way he expects
Finn gives a monotone, boring, quite sluggish-feeling story about a librarian named Hilda and some of her favorite books and that's about all you can muster yourselves to listen to before tuning him out
Shaking off the boredom-induced grogginess, you take in the battlefield once more and realize all the snakes, along with Ivo'liss and Lia have fallen into a slumber.
Finn: Being distracted by your own tale at the moment, you just can't seem to recall the type of snake these are

With the snakes asleep, Monk-E, still thirsty, walks over to the well and brings up the bucket. He investigates if there is anything fishy with the water, if not, he takes a drink. Investigate: 3
After the refreshing drink of cold water from the well (or not), he steps on a sleeping snake. Unarmed attack... Attack: 22 Damage: 6
Haldos, seeing the snakes, along with two of his new friends, asleep, will put away his longbow, move back towards Lia, and attempt to shake her awake.
Haldos shakes Lia awake; Lia, coming to consciousness, you realize that Finn's spell must have put you to sleep as well. You now see Haldos and Finn standing over you, Finn looking like he's about to say something (he wants to cast a spell on his turn)

Lia groans as she pushes herself up to stand. "Right. Where were we?" Still feeling a bit woozy from the poison, she unsheathes her sword, making a quick downward strike at one of the snakes that's still alive.
You guys arrive at the Lord's Hall in Legrove where Lord Dengorth has his stewards waiting with your money, "Ahem, who should I give this to? There's 40 gold pieces in this purse" he waits expectantly with his eyebrows raised

Monk-E You easily step over the sleeping snakes and yeah, water is fine. Very cool and refreshing
