Finn literally slides right up to the front. "It was a pleasure doing business with your lordship." he says with a dazzling smile and an extended hand.
"Uh, okay," he seems a little caught off guard with your approach and feeling awkward from the situation. "Ahem, Lord Dengorth does have another request if you and your companions don't mind traveling for a day or two?"
Lia makes sure to collect her daggers before they return to the Lord's Hall. She trails slightly behind the others, vision swimming as she wipes the blood off on the hem of her shirt. She stands at the back of the group while they speak to the Lord Mayor, not particularly caring who takes the bag as long as she gets her share of the money.
Ivo'liss pipes up from the doorway of the room, where he's leaning "Hey Jeb, does his lordship wish for me to accompany these folks for this excursion as well??"
"I am interested in hearing what this other request is, " says Monk-E as he looks around he room wondering why nobody else seems interested or, at least, saying anything.
"What say we stop somewhere to get a bite to eat, My treat and we can split the coins there eh?" Finn says looking around the streets for a suitable eatery or pub.
"Uh, yes if you don't mind, Ivo'liss. Of course, you are under no obligation to do so but if you wish, it would be pleasing to Lord Dengorth" the steward replies.
"Lord Dengorth sent a wagon of goods, fine meats, furs, finely crafted weapons, and things of the like to the city of Reminster to the east but we have not heard back from them in quite some time. Lord Dengorth needs some able-bodied people, such as yourselves, to look deeper into this and find out what's going on. At the moment, he has far too many things on his plate and it would be much appreciated if you could get to the bottom of this."
Lia's small smile grows into a full-on grin at the mention of the gold being offered. Her share would be more than enough to keep her going in the coming weeks. "Lovely. I would be glad to help his lordship in this time of need."
"that seems like a fair deal" the wood elf turns so he can get everyone in his dark green gaze "shall we get a drink and formulate a plan?? I know a good spot"
Finn looks at the steward "Well we aren't exactly a LOT are we? a "Lot" would be the people you sent to take care of the serpents prior to seeking our aid. We are all experienced professionals who are able to deal with adverse situations be they man or beast. and we get the job done. as you well know".
Finn looks around and then addresses the steward "we will take the job for 500 pieces of gold Plus mounts and equipment provided to each. given his current losses plus the future damage to his reputation, I would think our price isn't near what it should be but we are honest folk."
Ivo'liss chuckles and pats Finn on the back "six snakes does not an hero make, 250 gold is more than fair to investigate a lost wagon, and a walk never hurt anybody." He looks to the steward "I don't assume to speak for the whole group, but I'll take the job for 250 gold, any are free to join me"

Monk-E replies, "Just hand it to Haldos. He's standing right in front of you."
"Please, I know we're splitting it up, but I don't deserve the honor," says Haldos. "Give it to Finn. He made the whole ordeal easier than us."

"I wouldn't mind a bit of food," Lia tells Finn, smiling. To the steward, she asks, "How much does this new job pay?"

"Ehm," the steward speaks up a little reluctant, "I didn't mention any payment but if you so desire, I can arrange a compensation for you"
"as he wishes" and Ivo'liss gives a quick bow, and stands off the doorway, "and what of coin??"

"I can offer 250 gold for the lot of you"
Finn shakes his head.
"250 gold's worth appreciative"
