Ban keeps a rough ten feet from the animal, at the perhaps dangerous condition it's in. She motions in a calming fashion and lightly speaks in calming Elvish tones. With a look of uncertainty, the eladrin looks at Gillian with concern.
Gillain moves to the right to get a better look at the body being dragged. She can see that the person has been disemboweled with a large piece of the belly sliding alongside the body. Though muddy, Gillain also sees this body is covered in small boils. One pops as the horse moves forward.
The horse is in fact moving forward towards the party, at its slow uneasy pace. Ban, concerned and trying to put the horse at ease, sees the horse's eyes. They have a milky white glaze to them.
Bob, tries to access the horse at the distance he is standing, approximately 20 ft. Bob is not close enough the make a full assessment of the horse's condition but he does discern that it is not some natural occurring disease he is familiar with.
Tio tries to speak with the girl, but the girl continues to walk away and doesn't seem to listen, ignoring Gimble's friendly gesture. Just as she is about to be swallowed by the mist, she turns and looks back. Tio believes the girl smiles at her as the Mist creeps in and then the girl is gone.
"By the Morninglord" the party hears Ismark exclaim. Ismark is suddenly standing to the right of Gillain. "Is this the plague?" he asks.
A howl slices through the silence and the tension of the moment. It is coming from the Mist covered road behind the party and it as a distance.

Gillain tries to avoid getting too close to the rotting horse and the person.
She says, “I feel we should put them out of their misery, but I don’t want to get too close”. She reaches for her bow and steps back a little further, briefly waiting for any agreement or disagreement from the party.
“Agreed,” says Gimble, summoning fire to his fingertips and preparing to cleanse this disease with flame if the horse and rider get within 15 feet of him.

Bob holds his round belly as if he's going to be sick. "That's... that's not just plague! I think it might some kind of new form of undeath we haven't seen yet."
He readies the spell [spell[Thunderwave[/spell] if either the diseased horse or man come near enough for him to cast it on them.
As Tio passes by, Ban calls out "Careful. I saw... I'm not sure what I saw, but that's no sick horse!" Reluctantly, the eladrin unsheathes her silvered short sword and mentally prepares to put down the poor thing.
Seeing Ban draw her sword, Gillain stows her bow again and dons her shield instead. She looks warily around the group. “It’s NOT a horse?!… then what is it?!…”. Gillain pulls out her spear and levels it at the non-horse, ready, just in case…
Just as Ban speaks the horse kneels down on its front legs, then flops the rest of its body to the ground. Several boils pop and ooze out as the horse's skin stretches to accommodate its movements. Its breath is labored and green-tinted blood flows from the horse's nose. Its eyes glaze over as its head falls to the ground. A few tense moments pass as the party looks at the scene then at one another. Ismark is the first to speak. "I just....." In the middle of his remarks, Ismark stops and stares, mouth open in shock. The horse's body convulses and you see movement just under the horse's skin, like something burrowing beneath. First one then another. The burrowed path starts at the rear of the horse and moves quickly to the horse's head, disappearing under the skull, or so you believe. Suddenly a spray of flesh, bone, blood, and ooze bursts from the horse's face as withering tentacles lash out at the party.
OOC: if he goes before the monstrosity, Gimble releases his spell (from earlier spoiler), then backs away. If he goes after, he might choose a different option.
