The party follows Bob-Wolf down the passage and down the steps. Your torchlight spills over the room as you enter. You enter a room that is 15 ft. wide x 30 ft. long.
As the party enters they find themselves looking at a mahogany table in the middle of this part of the room with 4 wooden chairs around it. The normal cobwebs cover the table but, there is more dirt than dust coving the table.
The room extends west to an open area of the room. As the torchlight spill into this part of the room, the party finds the rest of the room empty. However, from the party's vantage point, the party can see 4 small doorways. AS the party moves closer they find the doorways lead to 4 small sleeping closets. From the distance, the party can see a sleeping pallet in each of the small closets.
DM: Yes James and Ermren are still with the party but seem a bit listless and not saying anything. Dmitri is as unresponsive as James and Ermren.

As the rest of the party move in, to check the pallets and bedrooms, Gillain stays back by the table. She doesn’t cower exactly, but she stays on the far side of the table from the bedrooms.
From her vantage point there, she investigates the table and chairs for any clues. In particular she scrunched her face up in disgust and examines the dirt...
Toisearches the sleeping closets and pallets. Toi finds a small journal with only a few pages with writing on them with the following entries of note:
1:I have been chosen! Among the so many candidates I, Felix, have been chosen to embrace the darkness and gain eternal life!
2: The work is hard! There are only 2 other initiates that have made it to this point. I have thought about quitting so many times but, I know this path is true and the Master will come to see us and reward our devotion.
3: I am the last one. I woke this morning to find Vale gone. She was my only friend here and to hear her screams from the ritual room almost broke my resolve. But I must be strong. I am STRONG! The Master only rewards the strong!
The rest of the journal is blank or with only one or two words written too badly to decipher.
Gillain looks around the table. All she finds is the word BEWARE carved into the top of the table.
Bob-Wolf gets no new scents. The scent of death and decay overwhelms his senses.
"We are close, it seems they kept people her to sacrifice them..." Tio will keep the journal for her own personal use." Tio will head back to Gillain "Did you find anything?"

As Gillain notices the word on the table, she spins right around once, suddenly thinking there are things all around her... but there aren’t...
She looks back at the table and feels the scratched letters, to make sure she’s not imagining them. ((Do they look/feel carved with a knife or an implement, or scratched in desperately with finger nails or anything?)).
As Tio approaches, Gillain simply says in hushed tones, “Look here...”, and points at the lettering. and then asks, “You got something there?”. She hurriedly wipes the rest of the table with her forearm to try and see if anything else is scratched there...
Gillain looks really scared of this place, but seems far more scared of being left alone down here, so she will follow anyone that moves on at this stage...
She sees Tio head onward, past the table and on through the next opening in that direction.
She calls back to Bob almost forgetting that he’s really a person, calling: “Bob!...click click... Come on!...”, making a little clicking sound in her cheek like you would to call a pet.
Bob-wolf pads into the room, not exactly suited to investigating anything in his current form, though his nose keeps regrettably snuffling at the fetid air despite the horrid stench. He does walk over to the sleeping pallets and sniffs them one by one to make sure there wasn't any living scent attached to them, but only after giving Gillain as much of a deadpan look as he can as a wolf.
Bob-Wolf sniffs the pallets. It smells of old sweat, dirt, and mildew.
Bob-Wolf's ears perk up suddenly. He hears something. In between the constant chanting that echos through the tunnels he hears movement coming from the hallway the party just came from.
Gillain and Toiboth become aware that Bob-Wolf has smelt or heard something from behind you. All three of you turn to see a faint light coming from the tunnel you just came from.
Coming down the tunnel is a small figure holding a tiny clockwork device that sheds light from a single, small flame. Wearing simple clothes in green and brown earth tones, the gnome's dark brown hair and light brown eyes are unremarkable, and his other features would likewise allow him to slip unnoticed in many a crowd. He carries few weapons, though a sturdy blade and a serviceable crossbow are never out of reach. Wearing no armor, there is no obvious clue to his profession, but the more perceptive observer may see the corner of a fancy book or the telltale bulge of a toolkit or three among his possessions.
"You must be the newcomers the Burgermeister's son was talking about. Are you okay? Have you run into the ghosts, Rosa and Thron?" he asks in a pleasant voice. "I'm Gimble, by the way," he adds quickly, "and I am a newcomer to this depressing land as well."

“Aaaghh!...”, Gillain screams and spins around at the newcomer’s sudden entrance! She holds up her shield high under her nose. And stabs at thin air with her empty hand two or three times, with her eyes closed, before she realises she’s not even holding her spear.
When the gnome mentions Rosa and Thorn though, Gillain opens one eye and can’t help giggling, “Ha, of course we’ve run in to Rosa and Thorn!! ..Haha... or more like:.... ‘they ran into us!’... right? ..Haha... Am I right?! Ha!...”, she looks at Bob the wolf, and just creases up laughing...
((Gillain looks about as much like a human Paladin as she can: gleaming chainmail, shield, normally a spear... only she’s not exactly acting quite like one at the moment...))
"Hmm..." says the gnome, pondering. "Which one would you be then, Rosa perhaps? You know these people are trying to help you--you shouldn't take advantage of them so," he says sternly.

Gillain struggles with herself for a second, but the introduction is so ingrained in the very fabric of her being, that she cannot say any different: “I.. I am.. ...Lady Gillain of Athkatla, of the House Northmere in Amn, in the Lands of Intrigue... and Knight-Apprentice under... the ‘late’ ...Lady ‘The Rose’, The Pale Knight, knight errant of The Order of the Radiant Heart... ... at.. at your service“. She looks slightly exhausted by the effort and a little confused with herself nonetheless. But she still manages a knights salute, her hand over her heart, even if it looks like a child’s attempt at one.
"Indeed," replies Gimble, looking dubious. "What about the rest of you? Are you okay, or is someone else carrying an extra ghostly stowaway? And have you found the source of these strange noises? I am concerned that there is more danger here than a pair of phantoms," he adds, looking at the other newcomers.

“Ah, someone has a friendly bonded animal,” says Gimble, absently petting the wolf and looking for the Druid or Ranger, having totally misinterpreted the situation.
“So, where to next? What manner of foul beast lives in this creepy cellar?” asks the gnome.
Gillain answers Gimble, “We haven’t found anything down here yet... We’re trying to follow the chanting sounds”. She indicates Bob-wolf, “Bob, here, is helping lead the way... ..You’re the first living-thing we’ve found down here!.. ..Did you come all the way through the house upstairs?”.
(Whereever the chanting and the smell are coming from, so I'm guessing down the stairs?)
