Seeing everyone stop and prepare, Hush slinks into a nearby bush, attempting to hide to get some advantage should the buzzing creatures come this way (Stealth: 14).
Tibbles and Ralnor would notice that the buzzing seems to be several paces away from the tree line along the small path they had been traveling on. From the cat’s vantage point, it can additionally make out a small clearing in the woods some 30 feet through the forest.
More concerning, however, is another sound that can be heard through the buzzing. It seems to be the voice of an elderly, rather familiar Tiefling, who seems to be grunting in pain every so often. Tibbles may see a basket flying through the air a few times.
Leon observes all this from Tibbles eyes and snaps back to his own body. He says in a hushed voice, "It's Old Grey, the one we are supposed to deliver to. He seems to located in a clearing- and in pain. And there's a...flying basket. What should we do?"

Ralnor looks to Lazarus and the others.
"I could quietly through the woods go," Ralnor says in a whisper. "To get a better look. Perhaps the flying basket the source of the buzzing holds."
Ralnor slips off the path, avoiding where Hush went and tries to make his way quietly and unseen closer to the clearing to get a better look at what's happening.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Hush telepaths to Ralnor, "Sounds like a plan. I'll follow suit." And he stealths his way around, keeping an eye out for any creatures that might be laying in wait, and to get a better view as well (Stealth: 18 and Perception: 13).
Holden draws his axe, warily waiting for the slightest sense of danger/hostility to attack whatever was making the buzzing sound.
He couldn’t hear it himself, but trusted the more... intuitive members of the group. He didn’t want any bad to happen to the old tiefling... he had been nothing but kind and they needed the coin for this job.

The party exits - quite stealthily, may I add - towards the scene below. Five buzzing, large, swollen, blue insects are swarming poor Old Gray, who is frantically waving a basket in attempt to fend them off.
Ralnor stops at the edge of the clearing, quickly taking in the scene that lay ahead.
He draws his bow, nicks an arrow and follows the path of the insects attacking the tiefling. Taking advantage of the basket drawing the attention of the large insects, Ralnor looks for a weak spot, holds his breath, then lets loose the arrow at the creature next to the old man.
Attack: 8 Damage: 9 plus Sneak Attack damage (from Old Gray being within 5’)
Ralnor then moves through the trees (10’ west) and moves to stay hidden from view.

(OOC - I share initiative with Old Grey, so I'll post and I'm happy for you to play it out before or after his actions.)
Hush clenches his fists and darts out of the underbrush towards Old Grey (finishing his 35ft of movement on the square east of Old Grey), as he does, he makes a running jump. Spinning in the air, he kicks at the giant bee before following through with another kick and a slamming fist (1ki for Flurry of Blows).
First Kick (action) Attack: 10 Damage: 7
Second Kick (flurry bonus action) Attack: 12 Damage: 6
Punch (flurry bonus action) Attack: 21 Damage: 6
He lands, fists at the ready, "So old man, I hope you got some nice tea back home for after this is all said and done," he grins to Old Grey.
Ralnor's arrow goes wide as a Buzzer dodges a swing from Old Gray's basket, inadvertently dodging the arrow as well! All three of Hush's attacks, however, connect! With twin kicks, one Buzzer falls with a sickening squelch.
Old Gray, seemingly out of breath from running, winks back at Hush. "Aye there, lad, I've got it right here," the Tiefling responds, gesturing to the basket that has some broken bits of Buzzer legs sticking out from the wicker wiring. "Looks like I upset a cloud of them."
Old Gray takes his turn to Disengage, hobbling four tiles in the direction the group originated from.
The four remaining Buzzers angrily swarm the party. Jagged stingers are noticeable from a distance - and from a distance they come! Somehow, they are detached and rapidly regenerate, acting as ranged weapons. Two swarm Hush, while one remains intent to pester Old Gray, and another flies over to sting Holden.
Holden grunts with pain as the small stinger embeds itself into his shoulder. He then gives a growl as he hefts his greataxe and charges towards the battle. Holden takes a swing at the buzzer nearest him on the map (the one I think attacked him), and will do so recklessly. (BA: Rage; Action: Greataxe attack (reckless attack))

Holden's swing, combined with Luxaene's well-timed blast, neatly bursts open another Buzzer straight out of the air. Lazarus extends a palm, casting Toll the Dead on the Buzzer near Old Gray. DC 14 Wisdom save for the Buzzer: 11 or 8 damage.

He takes a breath and lines up the Buzzer still attacking the old Tiefling. He draws back the nocked arrow and lets it fly through the air. As soon as the arrow is out of the bow, Ralnor slips 5' east to try and disappear into the denser foliage.
Action - Attack: 17 Damage: 10 plus Sneak Attack Damage: 5 Total Damage: 16
Hush connects with an injured Buzzer, sending it careening to the ground. Ralnor's well-timed arrow skewers through one of the bugs, causing it to fall as well.
The small battle rages on! Old Grey remarks to the party - "I may have disturbed a Greyback and the Buzzers they all keep around!"
As if on cue, the bushes rustle, and a large, bipedal, grotesquely bloated bear-like creature bounds out, surrounded by three more Buzzers!
Old Gray Dashes further to safety, panting and wheezing in his age.
Buzzer 1 - Sting attack Hush - Attack: 22 Damage: 6 Greyback - Dash from afar Buzzers 5, 6, 7 - Dash from afar
Lazarus knows that the Greyback would be the greatest threat. In an unusual display of boldness, he advances forwards and points at the bloated bear, whispering a incantation which would awaken the primal sense of fear in the creature.
Movement: Advance 30 ft. directly towards the Greyback
Action: Cast Cause Fear. If the range isn't enough, then Laz will ready the spell instead, casting it when the Greyback does get within range.
