For the past several days, you have been travelling a road that winds lazily across the rolling grasslands to the Greenfields. Sundown is approaching as you slide down a rise and ease into the town of Greenest. In a welcoming room in a fine inn, as you sink into your nightly activities, but you are disturbed by cries of panic and clattering footsteps of running people, before the gut-wrenching sound of gigantic beating wings. A thunderous roar suddenly shatters any sense of safety, a deafening cracking light sends several rooves alight in flames. Greenest is being attacked by a dragon!
Much like the town, Green Apples inn had descended into chaos. The flames brighten all most of the rooms and hall; the next building is catching. Despite the panic, you all manage to grab your belongings and head out into the inn to find it eerily how it was left. As each of occupants of the other rooms appear one by one, your attention is suddenly snapped to the sound crashing and snarling coming from the floor below; a struggle!
A halfling covered in forest greens and browns emerges from a room at the top of the steps, with a full backpack and a shortbow slung over one shoulder, a belt with a scimitar and pouch buckled about his waist, and a short staff in one hand. Seeing the fires all around the inn, he immediately points the staff at any batches of flames no bigger than a campfire and speaks an arcane word to each one, trying to extinguish them one by one using a simple piece of magic learned by druids as part of their training to control the powerful forces of nature. (Casting druidcraft)
"Oh, this will not do, not do at all! I was counting on getting a good bath and having the smell of travel and campfires removed from my sleeping bag! Now EVERYTHING is going to smell like smoke!"
Madara would find a way to pin this whole mess onto him, he just knew. Adracos had barely set a foot into the inn, let alone met his contact, as the fires started to close in all around it. From what he could see through the murky window of his room, it looked like the whole town was on fire. The man, who couldn't have been older than thirty years, was about six feet tall, had a clean shaven skull and seven-day stubble. He wore a tightly fit black leather armour with two swords strapped to his back. He would have laughed if it wasn't life own on the line. Just a few days ago, he wasn't even aware of Greenest's existence but now it looked like he could very well die in this damned place. The sounds coming from above and below weren't encouraging either. He wouldn't even think about what creature could produce the roars coming from the outside. The noises below however indicated a fierce struggle taking place. 'Was someone attacking this town?', he asked himself. If so, he would have deemed it an outright symptomatical turn of events that fate had in store for him. As always a turn for the worse.
At least he hadn't unpacked yet and thus he stood in the hallway in mere seconds, watching as one by one the other guests began to storm out of their rooms. "What's going on here?", he exclaimed towards no one in particular, hoping somebody else knew more about the situation he found himself in.
Clad in loose fitting robes tied by a sash all in shades of grey, a stunningly handsome half elf enters the hallway, his room aflame behind him. Having arrived just last night relatively late and spoken to few, the striking figure carries no weapons, but his handwraps proclaim him to be some kind of martial artist. "That has to be a dragon, and a big one by the sound of it,"he speaks in a rich baritone--but with an edge of fear in it. "Let's get out of here before we all burn," he counsels, suiting action to words and moving swiftly but carefully down the hall to the stairwell. Peering down below, he tries to make sense of the scene before him.

The halflingis doing an impressive work, clearing the smaller flames and they sizzled to nothing. The fires in the inn itself have to yet to take a strong hold; he's made sure of that at least on the first floor on the inn.
Adracoswould come out to see a capable looking halflingdoing capable work of dealing with the small fires in the inn.
Moments later a half-elf who looks capable in a scrap appears giving the sounding advice that loudly ringing in everyone's minds...
Seconds after having made it to his room and sitting down on the modest chair within, Tengar’s sigh of relief is cut short by a roar that could only have emanated from a dragon. As the shrieks of fear and terror follow closely after, the large half-orc sighs again, stands and grabs his shield in one hand and hefts his mace in the other. His anger is roused by the thought of such a creature taking its gargantuan fury out on helpless civilians. “Alright then,” he says to himself as he moves to the door. He has to duck slightly to get his just-under 7 foot body through the doorframe. He cuts a tall, muscular figure with short dark hair and small tusks that protrude slightly from the corners of his mouth. He has a few small but visible scars on his face, a testament to a hard upbringing. In the hallway, he looks around at an awful sight: screaming, fire, confusion. He notices a few other figures coming from their rooms as well and gives each a quick nod.
Noticing the halfling trying to direct traffic and douse the fires, he’ll move to help in any way he can but thinking that if it gets any worse - or the fire gets to the roof - he will shout to the patrons to get outside and run for cover.
At the sound of struggle and possible violence below, he will head down to see what all the fuss is about, ready for any unpleasantness....
A 5 foot tall wood elf comes out of one of the rooms stretching and rotating his arms to work the leather of his earth toned brown and green armor to fit just right. Seeming pleased with the set of it, he turns and starts walking past people in the hall. His copper skin slightly reflecting some of the fire off of his freshly shaved and tattooed head. Strange Elvish designs adorn his his skull and lead to 3 marks that descend over his right eye lid to the cheek bone under. The marks look like a claw had left them behind. His emerald green eyes flecked with gold stay forward as he walks by every person, every person until he sees a half-orc. Lux's eyes immediately meets Tengar's, and he motions his head to the sounds of fighting from downstairs. The Wood Elf then turns to the sounds and heads to them, not a word, only the sound of two short swords being drawn, one after the other from their sheaths at his hips. The wood elf seems not to be phased by the fire and not surprised about a dragon. Lux carries a long bow that hangs next to his quiver which is in between his back and a pack. All of his equipment is fairly standard and none of it is unique in any way other than how well it has been taken care of. There is obvious use but there also obvious care.

Adracos watched different figures emerge from their rooms one by one. A brief glance sufficed to tell that they weren't just some helpless travelers. Whatever happened here, it looked like they were caught in the same mess as he himself was. The noises booming from downstairs suggested that somebody was already fighting inside the inn and somehow he got the feeling that they wouldn't allow him to leave if he just asked nicely enough. "I don't know about you friends, but I think we will have some fighting on our hands rather soonish.", he said to the others standing around him. "I suggest a temporary alliance until we got the hell out of here." Both the fighting and the fires appeared to intensify and the young man knew that they wouldn't have much time to act. "My name is Adracos. Lovely to meet you guys in our final moments.", he quipped.
One of them, a half-elf, was already on his way downstairs. Adracos decided he liked that one and fell in right behind him, drawing both short swords from the scabbards on his back.
The three figures go downstairs to find the shocking scene of a small gang of kobolds closing in a young family; the innkeeper Linan (1), bearing a broken spear and shield to protect her hunched wife (2) and with their two children (3 & 4).
