Name: Viren Valandar Race: Half-elf Class: Bard (assuming we're starting at level 1 here, planning on going into the College of Spirits UA if that's fine with you) Alignment: Neutral Good (my go-to alignment) Backstory: Viren is deaf. Always has been, always will be. Due to his ailment, few people took a chance on him. As the poor carpenter's son, he simply wanted to step into his father's shoes and learn the trade. However, his life began to change drastically when he began to "hear" the world around him through music -- and the voices of the dead. So Viren took some spare money and bought himself a lute, but he could not fully learn by himself to channel the music within, because he could not hear. Fortunately, a traveling merchant named Gundren Rockseeker discovered the young man plucking the strings of his lute, and decided to take a chance on him, to offer to pay for music lessons for Viren. This amounted to a large sum of money, because Viren needed extra attention during his lessons. However, the music lessons soon paid off, as he began to make a name for himself, hosting gigs at small taverns across the Sword Coast and the surrounding area, earning enough to eventually repay Gundren. But Viren didn't stop there. He continued playing music, always sending a large amount of the money he earned back to Gundren -- Viren felt he owed a life debt to the dwarf. He also still wanted to live life simply -- not in extravagance, but like his carpenter father, living within his means and focusing on needs instead of wants. Eventually Viren settled down, married his angel wife (a literal aasimar), and had a beautiful daughter. He would still play gigs on occasion. As for the voices of the dead he heard through his deaf ears... well, they're growing in number and intensity, and he's got a feeling that Gundren might soon join those voices...

Im probably late to the Party, but here wo go anyways: 12151214177
Name:Krad "the Redeemed" Race: Hobgoblin Class: Paladin (later oath of vengance) Backstory: Krad was the leader of an ambush against a trade Caravan leading a Group of bugbears and goblins. Eventhough theyr Prey was surprized by the attack they managed to fight back the attackers, all but Krad, whose Hobgoblin heritage for Honor held him from running. As he was the leader he was not killed but taken hostage, in the hope he could give Information About other possible ambushes or Information about the enemy in general. First Krad did not comply but with time he developed a hatred for goblins and bugbears, weak and honorles as they are they do not deserve to live if they would have faced their fate in battle anyways. He began to cooperate and over time began to earn his captors trust who now with his assistance have savely reached neverwinter. There he joined the church of hoar and is now both, on the hunt for goblins and trying to find himself a respected place in the world. Even when that means to trasport equipment for some dwarfs he met in a tavern once. Link:https://ddb.ac/characters/35644993/iTTZ2R
g) Backstory: i always loved my people. but one day, when i was 13, the Githyanki gith prepared to attack my people with hundreds more troops than we could ever muster. so i did the only thing i could, the unforgivable, i went to the mind flayers for help. i searched the land for the mind flayer, and finaly found them, and asked for audiance with the elder brain. after telling the elder brain my conundrum, the elder brain said "i will give you part of my power to defeat your enemys in return for your service." i thought long and hard about it, and diecieded it was worth it and took the deal. when the Githyanki attacked, i killed them all with my new powers. after that, i expected to be a hero to my people, but instead they, hating and fearing the very thought of the mind flayers, banished me. nut my mission was acomplished, i had saved my people. i wenbt searching for something to do with my powers and found a town where a man in a tavern, in return for some money, told me that i could becaome an adventurer, so thats what i did.

Backstory: Don’t know anything about LMoP. We’ll say that the Rockseekers and Caebreks are distantly connected by marriage. Most recently (36 years ago) Balnir’s 3rd cousin twice removed married Gundren’s aunt. It was quite the party and Balnir underestimated how much beer to bring along.

Backstory: Tyren had a hard life. He was born the bastard son to an important Waterdhavian senator, and raised in the brothel where his mother worked. When he was six, his father found our, and came to dispose of him, believing him to be a threat to his Lineage. His mother gave her life to save him. The very next day, the whole city was buzzing with the story of the senator murdered in the brothel. Tyr took to the streets. He quickly learned that fighting for your survival was not something you could ignore. You were strong, or you died. Tyr was not strong in body, but his mind was razor sharp. It was on these streets he first learned to lie. The lies were simple things at first, like he had a small lean-to in the nearby forest, or he had swiped a roll from the baker, but soon he had a massive underground Villa given to him by zeus himself, and his daring heist that had left the baker penniless and him as rich as a prince (despite his clearly ragged appearance). The weirdest thing was, no matter how outrageous his lies were, everyone believed him. Not just other urchins, but the low lives, and even the local shop keepers thought he was a Demigod sent by Ares to gather all the honey pastries so that the evil king Accamyn of the floating fortress himself wouldn't steal them. He ate well. One day as he was doing his rounds, he decided to take a detour. On his way, he spied a temple to Helm. Intrigued, he decided to take a look. As he stepped inside, he was immediately told to leave, but one flick of his silver tongue against his teeth and he was bathed and dressed in a robe of silk. As grand as his stories were, he had never tried to pull a stunt like this before, and found himself enjoying it immensely. That is when it struck him. He would no longer be Tyren. From now on he was Endymion, Blessed cleric of Helm. He shed his old identity as a snake sheds its old skin, and stepped into his new sandals easily. Forget Tyren.........he never existed anyway......
Three years pass, and Tyren is tired. No matter what anyone thinks, Lying is hard. It takes energy to make sure that everyone thinks you are their saviour. The message came as a blessing. Some stuck up dwarf had asked for a cleric to accompany them on a trip near Neverwinter. When the news came, Tyren, as High 'cleric' of the temple decided to do the job himself. Maybe during the trip there would be an....accident. Maybe the tragic death of High Cleric Endymion would spur a revolution in the church....or nothing would happen, Tyren didn't care, but after three years, he was ready to try something new. Maybe the kings advisor.....hell, why not even the king himself......Now, how to fake your death....I am sure there is a book on that in the great library......

Would love to join - heard about LMoP but never played. Same with CoS. I've been playing PbP on here for over a year and a half, many games, and though several have withered on the vine, I've left none, and I post several times a day. Glad to see a DM looking for same. Feel free to look at my posting history for a sense.

Race: Dwarf
Class: Forge Cleric
Backstory: Orro's always been a tinkerer. Little trinkets, bits, and bobs, it all came natural to him. Growing up in in a mountain clan, raised amid the forges, it was easy to use tin shavings from the floor of the forge chambers to make toys, small tools, wind chimes. That is, when he wasn't learning the craft from friends and family. He didn't find Gond -- Gond found him. And told him to go seek the majesty of the wider world. So he set off, traveling in cities and through forests, making his living at scattered forges and smithies, learning always, and drinking in the world's curiosities. He got handy with using the weapons he could create, if it came to that, though he preferred to seek serenity. Made it easier to get by in the world. He began to lose his accent, and the memories of his family began to fade, until he ran into Gundren, a cousin of his, also off seeking his fortune in the world. He couldn't say no when Gundren asked him to carry some goods. He wondered what the "something big" might be...
Sorry, just quick clarification: do we have to send in character sheets with our application or do we not need to worry about it until we’ve been selected?

race: Tiefling, zariel variant
class: cleric, war domain
alignment: chaotic neutral
backstory: Bazarat was a sailor by trade, but one who was trained to heal his crew, repel boarders, and lay the smackdown on anyone who crossed him, his pals, or talked smack about Tempos. problem was, he was with Gudren's cargo, since Gudren acquired his services after seeing him work on the sailing ship "Errant Glory" as the master-at-arms. he doesn't know why Gudren is paying so much to work in a small town, but he can tell something big is going to go down.
