"Don't forget the scrolls." Says Quin as he produces the paper containing tube he had been carrying.
"Perhaps you're right. Maybe we should get some of this appraised. I guess I didn't realize how much we had found. What about you Vothrolo? You seem to be a person who recognizes value, can you shed any light on what the value of these items might be?"
Davril nods, "We might be best selling the items and dividing the coin than guessing on the value. And if any of the items are useful to us, we should hand them out appropriately, especially if we're going to be working together, could be useful to make sure we're all at our best."
Vothrolo responds to Quin's question "Well, if you had art to sell, I might be able to guess, but, with gems, your guess is as good as mine. I can check with some of my contacts to see who might give you an honest appraisal of the gems, but, other than the gems that are poorly cut, I have no idea what the relative value of the others is."
"It might be best if we stick the gems and necklace together then, untill we can get an estimate. As for the potions, I suggest we don't sell them under any circumstance and instead keep them for life saving emergencies. We should give one to as much of us as possible, with me obviously beign the last to get one as Helm has granted me some healing powers. The real deal is the ring.... it's value surpasses by far any gold, so there simply cannot be a fair way to deal with it.
I therefore suggest blind luck - has anyome got some dice? We could each throw a dice, and whoever gets the highest roll keeps the ring. Should we find another magical item in the near future we can repeat the same approach of rolling dice, with the person who got the ring beign except from it to prevent anyone from getting all the enchanted items. Also we should all take turns to roll the same dice to avoid any questions of the odds beign rigged.
Davril shrugs and takes his turn with the dice, "Seems workable to me, though perhaps if someone who has already received one item has a greater interest in a new one, if he wins the roll, he can turn the other back over to the group?"
ooc I'm still learning a few things about the 5e rules, and missed giving a clue about one item earlier. While fighting the stirges, Quiller noticed that the dagger he got from the cache seemed to be exceptionally sharp and very easy to wield, easier than any dagger he has ever used before.
"In my, albeit limited, experience, the ring has a magical effect - I may have identified it earlier, I do not recall. The necklace seems more like a bauble to me than aught else, and I imagine that the potions will have some interesting effects. The scrolls may be ancient poetry or magical spells - only further research will discern."
"Okay then Quiller if you prefer that sharp shiney dagger let the next person with the highest roll have the ring. But other than that I think we're ready to go. Seems we're done here. Lets get back to town so Vothrolo can go over those maps and fet us our next location." Suggests Quin.
"You identified it earlier as a ring of water walking... And it seems luck has favoured me today." - says Lorgar as he slowly takes the ring. He goes on to remove his leather glove and put the ring on. He does not go on to put the glove back on right away, instead fixating on the ring atop his finger with a new found interest, as he abset mindedly follows the group out of the ruins. "So precious..."

Does that sound reasonable to all?"
"Sounds fine to me." says Quin as he produces a set of dice. Rolling 5 of the cubes he comes up with a total of 20.

Dice roll: 16
"ok to me"

Quiller nods, “I can’t remember what the ring’s good fer but what the heck.”

Balthazar nods. Chance is a fair dictator, all things considered.

He gets an evil gleam in his eye. “Now daggers, daggers I likes better’n rings.”
Panic is a mechanism that strengthens the gene pool.
"you can have it then."
OOC - what are we rolling? 5cubes, does that make it 5d6? Everyone rolled that?
Lorgar takes his turn with the dice. 15
"Balthazar, do you thin any of the other stuff is magical, other than the ring?"

(ahhhhhhh, No gollum, BAD GOLLUM!) *spritzes stipeftw with cold seltzer to make the point clear*
"Excellent!" says Quin as he scoops up his share of the coin that's been laid out before following Davril.
