Startled at first at the clerics sudden appearance, Quin quickly regains his composure.
"Thanks! I was worried I wouldn't be able to get him out. I better go clear the rest of these halls of traps. Lukas should be back soon. I'm out of torches so I hope you have your own light."
Taking up his lantern the young rogue heads back down the tunnel to the place they first encountered the goblins. Quin first listens at the door. If he hears nothing he will cautiously open it.
lukas is going forward, (is light cleric having light on? otherwise 18 perception) and hears a creak ahead. shield and sword ready, he slows his pace, preparing for assault.
The amulet around Lorgars neck still shines brightly, the Helmite having recast the Light cantrip on it the moment they started moving to the goblins lair. He harbors no love for the shadows, but still chooses to cast Light upon an item that can be covered under his armor, should the need arise to conceal it.
OOC We are going to have to take a couple steps backward here. Welcome back Moshet
IC Once Moshet climbs down into the trap door, he cannot see anything at all without a light.
In the meantime, Quin manages to spot two of his darts fairly quickly, but, before he begins to look for the other two, he hears a noise behind him. Looking backward, in the dim light of the lantern he can see a goblin moving slowly towards him with a grin on its face.
On the surface, the rest of the party is still making their way toward the irregular fort.
OOC Because of the distance between the fort and the wagon, they will take a little longer to reach the rest of the party. After Moshet and Quin post their next actions, I'll move things forward with the members on the surface.
Quin is ultimately able to retrieve all but one of his darts. The door is still open from when the goblins opened it before attacking Quiller.
For the other party, once the party descends the ladder, it is dark and a torch or lantern will need to be lit for those who don't have darkvision. Once it is lit, the room is much as Lukas remembered, except for the body of a goblin over near the door to the small hallway. The pit is still open and empty.
As they prepare to descent down the ladder to the vile lair, Lorgar recasts the Light cantrip on the amulet around his neck, upon which an upright left gauntlet is painted, with an open eye on the gauntlet. The Light is pure white, and shines as bright as a torch, shedding bright light for 20 feet, and dim light for another 20 feet.
Lorgar follows shortly behind Lukas, mace and shield at the ready, attempting to position himself so that the Light radiating from his amulet might illuminate as much in front of Lukas as possible.
Quin does not seen any traps in this room. The ceiling in this area is about five and a half feet high. There are five bedrolls placed around the edges of the room. Other than that, the room is bare of any obvious features.
Lukas and Lorgar enter the room at the base of the ladder. It is much as Lukas remembers it, with a floor covered in sand and the pit open with spikes in the floor. The door to the hallway is open, with the hall only four feet high.

Quin peers into the darkness beyong the door trying to discern shapes in the dim lantern light.

we still move towards the fort 2 perception (for paranoid reasons)
edit: wow, now is when this happens?
OCC How is Quiller doing?
Panic is a mechanism that strengthens the gene pool.
OOC Quiller is at 0 hp. He is in no danger of dying, but, without either a long rest or healing, will remain unconscious.
Quin flips the lantern hood open with the tip of his dart flooding the hall with light before sending the projectile towards the grinning beastie.
Attack: 8
Damage: 6
He sets the lantern down as the dart flys.

Seeing the goblin silhouetted by Quin's lantern, Moshet will cast Toll the Dead on the goblin; "I hear Anpu calling you to your rest."
Moshet Tanubis - Grave Cleric - Lvl 1 -- Mercer's Tavern
Asvala Vor - Barbarian/War Cleric - Lvl 2/Lvl 1 - Icewind Dale: Frostmaiden
Quin's dart hits misses the goblin and hits the side of the wall, but Moshet's spell hits the goblin 4
who falls over dead.
Goblin Saving throw: 17
The individuals topside have now reached the door, with the still burning body of the goblin on the floor. The trap door is open.
OOC No idea why the goblin saving throw changed, but, he missed his save on both the original and "revised" roll.
Quin retrieves his darts if possible. Thanks Moshet, Checks on Quiller and attempts to listen at the door before entering.

"we have light. advance and beware ambushers." Lukas warns the group as he takes point, shield up and sword drawn.
