Quiller's attack is deflected by the goblin's shield, when Quinn's dart sails toward him, the goblin is able to duck under it. The goblin will again attack Quiller with his short sword

In the upper room, Lukas throws his torch at the goblin, hitting the goblin square in the face for 8 points of damage and setting the goblin on fire. The goblin falls to the ground screaming in pain. After a couple seconds, his body convulses and goes limp.
Lukas boggles for a second as if to silently say "Wait, that worked?" before making his way to the camp where Khoraj and company are. Will warn them that a goblin was slain, might be more, and Quiller and Quin are still in the tunnel.
Quin flicks another dart at the goblin before moving back a few more feet. His goal again is to give Quiller room to strategically retreat back to a larger fighting area.

Quin continues to make his way to the pit room making sure the goblins maintain their pursuit. Just before exiting to tunnel he reaches up under his armor and retrieves a small pouch of ball bearings. He spreads these on the ground behind him as he exits the tunnel. Standing just aside the tunnel entrance he waits for the goblins to emerge.

Quin is able to drop the ball bearings onto the floor just ahead of the goblins

Both goblins slip and fall when they step on the ball bearings, the first goblin falls flat on his back just past the hallway, while the second one slip and slides down the hallway, tripping over the first goblin and flying into the pit trap taking 2 damage.

Quin is able to dispatch the prone goblin quickly, when he looks down into the pit, the other goblin has regained his feet and is glaring up at him.
Back on the surface, Budeim responds "And, we are not even halfway done with the trip. And, you apparently have forgotten that there are additional trips that you could profit one after this one. But, if you can't take of a few goblins, then we can't deliver the goods and you don't get paid."
