The tavern slowly fills up as dusk turns to night. A half-elf and a halfling come in and ascend to the stage, with the half-elf pulling out a fiddle and the halfling a flute. The pair begin to play, while food is brought out to the party. The evening meal consists of roast pork, potatoes, and carrots. The party finds both the food and the drink very good and filling.
Quiller listens in to the conversation and hears people talking about their coworkers and neighbors, with some of the conversations focusing upon supposedly clandestine relationships, while others talk about lazy coworkers or neighbors who may be stealing from other neighbors. None of the names are familiar to Quiller and he doesn’t find any significant information from the various conversations.
As the group approaches Three Bridges and Quin takes in the sights and smells of the town a feeling of comfort washes over him. These past few days of traveling, fighting bandits and goblins, had served to hide the fact that he missed the hustle and bustle of a populated area. He found himself falling into old, comfortable habits, watching out for alleyways that might offer good escape routes or hiding, taking note of those whose satchels and purses might prove profitable and easy to nick. Feeling very much back in his element a comfortable grin has settled on the young mans face upon the arrival at the tavern.
Once inside he immediately seeks out a bar keep/owner/any body who can direct him to a place where he could acquire some jewlers tools.
As he waits at the bar for an answer to his question, Quin pulls out his dice set and begins to rattle it around. Looking at the nearest patrons he offers a game with any that catch his eye. Seeing Lukas across the room, Quin raises a hand and waves his friend over.
"Wanna play a game? I'll teach you one. We each roll 3 dice. We keep our rolls hidden. Then we bet on who has the higher number." Quin explains.
(OCC: we're going to roll 3d6 and a D20 with your Deception and insight modifiers posted separate. Who ever has the lowest roll can still win if they win an insight vs. Deception check and "fool" the other person into believing they are the highest. We can RP the bidding if you like or just go with the results.)
Quin scoops up his three dice and drops them in to a cup. After rattling the ivory bits about for a few second he inverts the cup slamming the rim down on the bar top. Tilting back the cup just enough to peak under he says "Okay, I'll bet a copper that my 17 beats your score."
Quiller will wander over to watch the dice game, keeping an eye and ear out for any interesting tidbits. What sort of folk are here? Is the a ‘common’ tavern, a bit classier?
Any likely targets that might have ‘fruitful’ pockets or purses?

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Quin grins, knowing full well he's been caught bluffing as he turns over his cup revealing a sub par roll. His grin turns into a laugh as Lukas follows suit a reveals his dice. "Hahaha! I see I'm not the only one to stretch the truth at times! Well played my friend!"
As Quin slides a copper across the bar he lowers his voice to answer Quiller, "None yet. But the nights young."
Letting out another good chuckle he rattles his dice cup again and slams it down overturned onto the bar with a load crack.

"Oh not so good this time, looks like only an 8. Let's see what you can do?"
The bartender, upon hearing Quin's request, muses for a couple seconds "Jeweler's tools, hmm? We don't get a lot of call for that here, but, you might want to check with Chirdezh Teyozh, the money changer. Head north across the Northern Bridge. Take the first left turn once you get off the bridge. I think his store is about half a block down, on the right hand side. His sign has an elephant's trunk on it."
While the tavern is mostly filled with working class people, Quiller does notice a few individuals in the tavern that look to be a little better off. One of these men is wearing the garb of an office in the Kardagen army, while the other two individuals look like they could be merchants.
"Huh haa! Well played my friend!" Quin pauses his ccongratulating just long enough to acknowledge the barkeeps words before sliding another copper over to Lukas. " Heh! Can't win 'em all!" He laughs. "Good times! But I need to get an early start tomorrow so I'm going to head up for tonight." He claps Lukas on the shoulder congratulating him one last time before finding a place in the corner of the room Vothrollo rented
*Lorgar goes to bed at the same time Lukas does.* "It's two beds per room - mind if we share? I believe the other two have more in common with each other..."
While the rest of the team head up to bed, Quiller stays down in the tavern. He has no trouble eaves dropping in on two particular well dressed men. Although he doesn't hear any definitive statement about where they are staying, the rogue does hear one of the men say "If we get an early start tomorrow, we can reach Mercer's before sunset. And, with any luck, we'll be in Sanbeyonne in two days time. There, I'm sure our goods will bring us several bags of coin."
Quin rises early the next morning. Stopping in the common room he buys a bit of breakfast and waits for at least one member of the party to show up before he leaves on his personal business.
When Quin gets up the next morning, he finds Vothrolo already down in the common room eating breakfast, while going through one of the books the party had previously found. Several other books are sitting on the table with her, along with a couple notebooks filled with the half-elf's handwriting.
When Vothrolo notices Quin, she says "We're not on too tight of a schedule today. Another travel day down to Three Falls. But, it is an easy trip. Even with a late start, we should have no trouble making it to Town before sunset. Then, we'll be off to our next cache."
"Terrific! Let the others know I'll be back shortly. I'm going to see the money changer Chirdezh Teyozh" Says Quin between mouthfuls of food. Shortly after, he pops up and heads off to find Chirdezh Teyozh. Following the bartenders directions he crosses the northern bridge and makes the left. He trots on looking for a sign with an elephant trunk on it.
