He looks at the body of the old dwarf lady, wich slowly starts to get covered in a layer of ice: “I doubt that old hag had a heart. Yes she was able to glimpse the future, a gift from her pact with Levistus i assume, but that doesn’t mean she couldn’t twist and manipulate it to serve her needs if she wanted.”
He looks over to Gilgin who was addressing him earlier: “Well maybe if you don’t wake up people in the midle of the night next time you will get a warmer welcome...”
He brings his attention back to the rest of you: “I had my disagreements with her and i it gales me to admit, but her fragments of guidance mostly leed to success. Tommen, show them to the guard room that was set aside for now and we can talk in the morning.”
Nyx says, "Thank you. Do you mind if I briefly examine her? Is it normal that a body ices over like that?"
(if allowed, Nyx will check if she had any rings or bracelets or necklaces or earrings or anything like that and also anything in the pockets or belt pouch or folds of her clothing. Investigation check: 11)
By now her body is completely encased in a layer of ice. Through the ice you can see some kind of spiralled earrings, maybe made from polished seashells or made to imitate them. She also wears a pendant that is made from a blackish gray “gem” wich is decorated with a small sword. With the layer of ice, It is hard to tell, if gem is a stone, a crystal or metal, could be anything.
“Have you looked outside recently? What is normal? But to answer your question, she made a pact with an arch devil of Stygia, the frozen fifth layer of Hell, so i am not surprised.”
Hifu is interested in the pendant, looks closer to see what this could be.
Investigation : 2
After that Hifu was feeling exhausted, wishes to head to the room to sleep and recover. He is excited to hear more about the Duergar and discuss the next steps on their path...
“Well, good night, we will talk in the morning.” And with that Kardoth leaves you alone with the frozen body and Tommen, who seems a little overwhelmed with the events of the night. He does finally come to his senses and begs you to follow him.
The young guards will lead you into the foyer ,out of the main building and past the dog shed to the north eastern Watch Tower.
“Ahm, we don’t really have a guesthouse, but this guard room was vacated for you and you can rest here for the night. Good night.”
(I assume you do go after him, if there is anything else you wish to do, i will add in a flashback)
Nyx says as a last thing before they are left alone, "Post a couple of guards at the body of the Soothsayer. There is something afoot and it would be best if someone kept an eye on the body until we can decide in the morning what to do with it."
As they settle down to rest in the guard room, Gilgin, who had been strangely silent remarks. “Seems you can’t find a Dwarf these days who hasn’t sold their soul to something. Hifu, I’m afraid you idolise a dying culture. Do me a favour and keep it alive for me yeah?”
Gilgin lies rolls on his back as he wonders aloud, “Must be nice, to be able to choose to die like she did eh? Even a word from our lord couldn’t bring her bones back. What do you lot make of this prophecy thing?”
Kree looks around the guard room, once he finds a spot to lie down, he'll set his things down and look around the room, looking for possible exits (holes in ceilings/walls, windows/doors). After doing this, he'll sit down, stareing blankly at the wall for a moment before laying down. He locks his hands together across his chest and continues his blank stare at the ceiling.
Spoiler for DM:
When Kree finally sleeps, she'll change the form of her eyes to look like they are open, even if they are closed.
Hifu says to GIlgin "You're not of a dying culture, it's just that something is trying to kill it. We will handle these duergar and solve this mystery. Did any of you have a good look at the necklace that she was wearing? Let's get some shut eye, we will see what's what in the morning." Hifu does some stretches and meditation, then lies down to rest.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
You all rest down for the night, one of you on the floor on your own bedroll, the other 4 have beds. You spend the night without further disruptions. Take a long rest, mark of 1 ration (3 for James) and all exhaustion is gone again (Nyx and one of the dogs).
When you wake up the next day, you are left undisturbed, but a heavily cloaked figure is waiting for you outside of your tower. Based on hight and the tail, you can gues that it is either a tiefling or a dragonborn. He greets you politely and tells you that Kardoth is expecting you in the Speakers office. He shows you the way (it is on the ground floor of the main building) and opens the door for you. Inside Kardoth is sitting behind a table and reading through papers. When he sees you he goes: “ Ah, good morning. Come in... do you want some tea?” And he gestures to a kettle that is set up on a side table with several cups.
Gilgin sighs as he looks at the pot of tea “Suppose it’s something...” he mutters under his breath, his hand shaking slightly.
”Thank you for your hospitality Kardoth.”Gilgin does his best to stay still, keep his face stern and not act a fool, “It means a lot, considering the hardships your town has come by. When did you retreat back to this fortress, was it when the Duergar attacked? It pains me, not to see taverns flowing with happy revellers, fisherman bellowing as the townsfolk come to buy the freshest catch of the day and people smiling, as they work together to build their community. How many did you lose?”
Hifu smiles at Kardoth and does a half bow, saying “Thank you, but no. I haven’t finished my morning stretching routine and haven’t broken my fast yet. But a good morning to you.”

Nyx says, "Thank you, much appreciated." She will take a cup and find a place to sit. Floor if nothing else is available.. it doesn't reduce her height that much at all.
“There seem to be a few misunderstandings here. I am Kadroth , First Sword. I am not the speaker, that is Crannoc Siever. But he is sick at the moment and i look after the town for the time being. Also there were no reports about any attacks so far. We got reports of figures in the night, break ins and theft of minor value. Because of the Soothsayers vision, we know they are related and that the Duergar are preparing something big, but neither are we strong enough to face them nor do we have the means to convince the other towns of the danger. From her we know that their main force is in the Spine, but that they have smaller forces within Ten Towns.” The tiefling tells you. “If you wish to further investigate and collect evidence, may i suggest a visit to Eastheaven, several of Hethyls visions showed them near the harbour of that town.”

Come morning Nyx will immediately enquire about the body of the Soothsayer - if it's still there, still iced, etc.
Kree awakens and unlike Nyx, wants to talk with Kardoth, so he'll leave the guard room and look for Kardoth.
