As Kravek reaches the correct house finding Smol and Zurk he makes himself known Hello there, ive come to check up on you lot.
If allowed he enters the house to see what kind of place they have been given.
He will try to find Trek and if he cant find him Kravek will speak to the other kobolds. Have they treated you well? Looks like a good place to live after a bit of work.
He looks around. Not that easy to find either so you wont be bothered by to many of the townsfolk.
As Gilginand James head back from the barracks, to meet up with Hifu, James responds.
"Indeed, that is why I gave the money to them directly and not to the Speaker."
"My experience has been that if you find a good leader they are a great blessing to everyone, but good leaders are harder to come by."
"Most of the time you just have to hope that the vices of your leader somehow aligns with the needs of the people, If not...well sometimes someone just has to stand up for the people..."
James lets out a sigh,
"I've not decided what kind of leader I think Speaker Masthew is yet, its too early to be sure."
Hifu is still sitting at the bar, waiting for his friends. "Sigh." He is still listening for any news. He periodically goes through a stretching routine, with a series of kicks and punches, the patrons think this is odd. He rearranges some tables and chairs, scrawls on a piece of paper "Self defense lessons, 1 silver piece per session" (after asking the bartender if this would be ok).
He asks the bartender "Do you know how to draw a map to get to the Spine of the World, also how do you get to Bryn Shander? I'm making a little map for myself, can you draw where they would be?"

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Kravek, the two kobolds invite you inside. It is empty but dry. Trex and the others are out in the forest, to look for dead trees they can chop down for firewood and building material. It is an abandoned house, but still in decent condition. A little work and it will be fine.
Hifu, your routine catches a few curious eyes, but this is Icewind Dale, you must be odd to choose to live here in the first place, so you draw less attention then you would expect somewhere else. You are long enough here, to know that the main roads between the villages are maintained to a certain degree, at least they are marked and it needs a blizzard to get lost while following the paths. It takes 4 hours to reach Targos and another 2 to reach Bryn Shander from there. At the moment you are aproaching a new moon and there not much light for travel beside the twilight hours from 10 am to 2 pm.
If traveling now would take us into night and dangerous freezing times, I would say that we travel tomorrow. "So where are we headed? To Bryn Shander next?"

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
After having visited the kobolds house Kravek will not wait for Trex to come back from gathering wood. He will take his leave saying Tell Trex we will journey to other towns but if we return here we shall visit.
After that he tries to make his way back to the Clam. Ready to leave for Bryn Shander to find a cure.
“The Cap’n wasn’t there, we spoke to her deputy but they didn’t seem to know much about the ghost attack.” (Assumed from lack of response, will correct if necessary)
”Kravek should be back soon, I’m sure he’ll want to know about this feud. Did you find out where we can find these Goliaths? Might be worth speaking to them before we leave tomorrow. I know temples, and we’ll need a hell of a lot of goodwill and gold to get help of this level. So any way we can help out along the way will do us good.”
"Yeah sounds like the help we are going to need, to get you back to normal, might cost a bit, so if we can pick up jobs along the way or find 'treasure' -- that's what adventurers do right? -- it should put us in a better position to afford any help."
James looks around the inn,
"Any idea where Nyx is, we should offer her the opportunity to come with us, whatever we decide to do, in case she wants to get out from the kitchen."
"She was a valuable companion to have along, and having someone who can cook, well it beats plain charred small game meat, which is the extent of my skill."
James remembers something and pulls out the geode from his pack.
"Hey Gilgin, should we look to try selling these here or wait until we get to another village?"
"Do you think the Goliaths are somewhere between here and Bryn Shander? I think we should head out at first light tomorrow, when the weather is right. Let's make sure to get enough food for our journey. Should we get another dog sled or one of those axebeaks for transportation?" Hifu looks excited and ready to go. We will make all preparations and get our material ready by the end of the day.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
You do know that the spine of the world is the huge mountain range that separates the frozen north from the rest of the continent. Under normal circumstances it would be a days worth of travel from Bryn Shander or Eastheaven, but now it will be several days of travel across the frozen desert to reach the foothills.
You spend another night at the inn (2 gc for modest stay including food and drink or 4 silver for a poor stay, roll a d100 if you choose poor stay , 2 rations for the dogs)
Gilgin shrugs, “Best to wait till Bryn Shander I think. Don’t wanna sell them gems from their own mine.”
Nodding to Hifu, Gilgin responds, “Think they’re a little past Bryn Shander, but we should find out more about this from Either Kravek or the two other Goliaths before nightfall. Maybe we can catch this Moose or something though, any of yous been to littlewood before?”
Hifu replies “Yes, I actually grew up right outside of Lonleywood. I helped my Pa with logging and cutting wood. I do remember hearing about a Moose, but just vague stories, and I didn’t ever see anything like that. I did find a little baby Owlbear once, Stevie I called him. Cute little button. Raised him until he became a big bugger and headed off into the wild. I’ve always had a way with Owlbears and they seem to like me. So don’t go hacking away at them, they are just misunderstood sometimes. I’m up for finding a Moose though. I think I need something to take my mind off that ghost, it still haunts me in my dreams. Do you ever dream about it? Anyway, any other supplies we need?”

After a nights rest Kravek will come down for some breakfast and meet the others again.
Ive spoken to some of the kobolds, Trex was out collecting wood but they have a house now. Needs some work but its in a quiet spot so they will be safe there.
Assuming the last part of Gilgin and Hifu's conversation was done in the morning Kravek will keep his eyes away from Hifu when he mentions owlbears are misunderstood. Thinking of the owlbear jerky he still has under his coat that he bought before the group headed to the mine.
I have heard of Goliaths in these part and want to search for them but i havent met their tribes yet. In fact i would like to find them but the weather has not helped me in my travels.
Gilgin nods to Kravek, “Well Kravek, you are in luck. There are two Goliaths here from those tribes, we can try to meet them but we’d better be quick since we need to head off soon.”
Turning to Hifu, “So... Lonelywood? Is it on the way to Bryn Shander?”
“Lonelywood is much closer than Bryn Shander, we could go there first and then head to Bryn Shander. But let’s meet with the Goliaths first to see what’s what. After you, my friend.” Hifu looks excited to be up and going. “I don’t know if I can see Trek again for a while, I might feel such terror and rage if I do. Let’s move along and put Termalaine behind us for a while, it might be good to see the woods near home.”

I have deducted 2gp for the night and 2 Rations for the dogs.
Could I purchase more Rations before we head out (probably would have done this before the long rest)?
How much would they cost, normal or elevated prices?
